So far, Etebo has been so effective and we have managed to match their midfield but like I always say, playing with an ineffective Ighalo as a point man will never work.

Just like us, the Croats have had more passes in their own half than in ours. Our defense and midfield have been good so far but our attack ain't got no bite.

By the way, Ekong is impressing his scouts, he has been commanding in the air

After I watched Croatia at Anfield I said what will give us the advantage is one main thing.

PACE X PACE + PACE.

Right now we are not using any.

Shehu is getting terrored it's apparent he lacks pace. Idowu is also getting exposed. We need blistering pace. That's not happening.

Also we are way too defensive. Cross coming in only one man in the box. The distance between the midfield and the attack is too much.

We are not even pressing Croatia we are allowing them way too much time and space.

I'm sorry to say we are disorganised and indisciplined if Etebo stays on the line he clears the ball but he lacks discipline and composure.

Unfortunately we have been POOR

is that not why moses is there?

For me, the Crotian technical crew did their assignment well. They noticed that Shehu is our weak link at the right back and they've been utilizing that effectively.

They direct all balls to Perisic on the left, then outrun Shehu. We need Ebuehi in this game, then switch to our much desired and effective 3-5-2.

In addition, Ighalo seems to be weak in pace, he simply can't run to catch balls. Musa might be needed to over-run these Croats defense.

Ostensibly, I still very much believe that we can win this game. Second half would be much more different. Irrespective of the result of today's match, I solidly stand with the team.

Go Eagles! The Land is Green! cheesy

That position lies the strength of their attack.

Iwobi needs more expression, sub Ighalo off pls. Then Musa can come and run this fullbacks down. we need some runs too.

We probably have to risk making all our subs right away to have a chance in redeeming ourselves

ask the coach. and this Croatian defence is slow, how we are not utilising pace sure beats me. and we are hoofing long balls to a short Ighalo

Our wingers are protecting the wing backs because the Croatians could hurt us if we have only the wing backs do the job.

Secondly, we are playing with just one winger and that winger is Victor Moses. Iwobi is under utilised on the wing and he is not helping loosing the ball easily.

Lastly, Etebo and Ndidi are doing great in terms of tackles and winning balls but they are limited with passes. I mean long or through balls.

If we could invest in getting really good central/attacking midfielders who can fall back to defend,we'll play a 4-1-2-3,shikena!!!

You play 4-2-3-1 when you're not sure of your defence/holding midfield, hoping to defend/contain the other team and hit on the counter. But then you need good pacy attacking players with an eye for goal to convert the few opportunities you'll get. Nigeria so far does not have a sharp strikeforce,it won't work and you might end up not scoring.

Mhen,wish them luck.

matching Croatia where? zero shot on target, they have created like three or four good chances to put the game away

Well considering all the hype about Modric, Rakitic, Perisic and all the sics....i would av thought they would av scored 4 by now. So in all seriousness, we matched them. My philosophy? It doesnt matter who scores.... teamwork should be the key and I am not seeing that in front

Rohr is a Mad man... Yes! I said it angry

Firstly, he doesn't inspire believe into this team... On a normal day, due to our pedigree, Croatia is not our mates... We will decimate them... But Rohr is a coward and timid coach... He has transferred his timidity to the team

Secondly he is stubbornly playing 4-3-3 when it is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that 3-5-2 is our formation angry

Somebody should talk to Rohr that we have an history

We have beaten the very best of teams before in the world cup without good preparations, without proper planning, without players bonuses that he has gotten.....

We are better than this

Croatia are not a match for us

We are winners

We are Nigerians

And we are not cowards angry
False on every count Bro. You obviously do not know the pedigree of Croatia. They've been there long before we got out of our pampers as Yugoslavia.

If you saying the bolded based on the what Rohr said that we are a young team please go watch all of the Pre match conference. He wasn't timid.

The painful part is that Crotia have not been that good themselves. There's nothing fantastic about them so far but they lead and we are yet to have a shot on target. Tells the whole story.

NOBODY needs a coaching certificate to know that Ebuehi is better than Shehu, or that Shehu can be exploited.

See me thinking Rohr had tricks up his sleeves for today, but my man is static. Not even trying to be adventurous with his team.

What has he done?

Has he scored a goal? Did he defend any set piece?

Even Etebo has been more potent.

Striker that cannot score, is that one a striker?

How do you fail to exploit the slowness of a team?

The likes of Musa, Kelechi and Ebuehi should have started this game. Run them off the pitch

exactly, their defence is slow and we are not taking advantage, someone should pls tell rohr that the world cup has started and we ain't playing friendlies any longer. Just this match alone can spoil rohr's good achievements so far and if he looses this game, the sports journalists and the entire nation will come for his head immediately after the match. the painful thing is that he has the right people to do the job, but he has failed to use them.

The 23-man team Rohr took can play any formation, they have men to execute any formation against any team. The man has greatly underutilized this team

Reminds me of what Many Garba went to do in U-20 World Cup
