Rohr saw it coming, he saw the Disaster coming, but he thinks he's god and can avert it without doing the Needful.

This is my first comment on this thread, before y'all start the usual excuses, fault finding and easy target to abuse, local coaches and foreign coaches have taken us to the world cup, and they are always abused of being crapband inefficient as soon.as we crash out. Any serious fan of sport and football in nigeria should realize that it is time to declare a state of emergency on our football and sports in general, the fact that we have been depreciating from the 90s till now should show us something is wrong. Nigeria is now having to rely and beg players born with nigerian origin abroad to come play for us.

We use to drop good players before major tounaments but not now. Sport is big business creating unemployment for millions in the west. Frim school you are drafted into football, basketball, cricket, rugby, hockey and all and creating jobs for players, managers, administrators, groundsmen, agents, physios and all. Until we demand same here and make any government realize they can create massive employment from sport and make huge money on tax, our sports wil contrinue to depreciate further.

you are very right bruv

The pig could still be right.... cos frankly it is a very open group
open where?
don't tell me you wrote that?
with Ighalo upfront and shehu in the RB role...and iwobi playing the wing role instead of the AM...role..
you mean the round of 16 dream still lives.
it could only be possible if rohr come to his senses...which i don't see happening in Russia....

when some of us here said...rohr was not a smart coach...some persons came for our head...now it has occured to us now that some peeps here are even more tactical sound than the German.

They said is hiding his tactics during the friendlies, now it has revealed to us the hidden tactics.. mtcheeww. That Rohr is not a good coach. We have personnel to execute this match but Rohr didn't select right personnel. I dnt think we can beat Iceland and Argentina with the way we played today. Rohr shld be blamed for this poor outing today

Am sad right now... But all hope is not lost yet.

Lol I said it at HT that if we were really serious on getting something out of this game we needed to take a risk and make our subs early.

komekn:
What a nonessential decision 3 minutes to and you bring on Simi. What utter Balderdash.

Mikel has been HOPELESS in this game meanwhile our most dynamic midfielder sitting a holding players where he can not effect the game.

This is a shocking display and it stemmed from wrong players selection and wrong formation

Well, at the end of it all, the more experienced side won.
Lack of tournament experience is a major factor against this team.
We have fallen once but we must surely rise again.

- No 3-5-2

- We start with a poor lineup

- Iwobi on the wings

What is the coach thinking?!?! We couldn't at least get consolation from a mediocre Croatian side. We have better players on paper than Iceland and they're playing better than us.

Etebo was the real midfielder playing this game..

Playing Ighalo has our forward will yield nothing..I know ppl would make excuses for him that he is not getting supply..his movement as a striker is just poor..

Nacho and musa came in and we could see some urgency..more pace injected...

Whatever reason he is always benching Ebuehi for shehu, he only knows..ppl would argue we conceded thru setpiece

I'm summary, we learned nothing from all the friendlies we played. Heartbroken..
Rohr is rigid, inexperienced. He can't take us far.

Coping strategy for me is to be less bothered about things I can't influence.

Let me go and take my online exam now angry

For me it's not the loss. It's the nature of the loss. We capitulated too easily. The team lacks belief.
