Just to add. If you're going this route pepper your doctor with questions. If he doesn't answer to your satisfaction, cancel it. Confirm availability of blood, especially if you have a rare blood type. If possible have a donor on standby. Both surgeries are major surgeries. May God keep us and our coming babies

Hi momma's, quite a while. Am here to discuss something that can be beneficial to us all.

I lost a beloved friend and sister who died during childbirth on Wednesday cos of a doctors oversabi. During the CS, the doctor noticed she had fibroids & decided to remove them. Note it was an unplanned surgery and it's totally risky doing both procedures without proper planning & preparations for it. Long story short, she lost so much blood & died. A lady that waited long to get married and even to get pregnant. Today is her burial. The baby developed some issues during the process of trying to resuscitate the mother but baby is presently in ICU...

PLEASE have a proper discussion with ur doctor b4 embarking on a double surgery & be sure he knows what he's doing. I had same but I had proper discussions beforehand. Above all TRUST in God to perfect it all for you. it's so sad.

May you all deliver safely with Mother Alive, baby(ies) alive and Father alive rejoicing in Jesus name.

There are different dosage and length of usage of progesterone for different patients.

I was on progesterone injection upto my 35th week of pregnancy. I started with two times a week and then reduced to once a week. Kindly consult with ur Dr before stopping it. Wishing you a beautiful pregnancy.

Thought it's necessarily stopped at week 12 cos that was what happened with my first and current one. Thanks for the information, I won't go and misinform someone else in future.

So this pregnancy I had a preventive cerclage at 12 weeks and also on progesterone injection 100mg three times a week with 400mg of cyclogest at night to help prevent prom
I also check my cervical length every 2 months

Caesarian myomectomy is a well planned elective procedure. With adequate provision of blood. I dont think a good obstetrician will try this procedure during a Caesarean section
Myomectomy is not an emergency.
Most people don’t even know the have fibroid. It’s usually an incidental finding during pregnancy when a routine scan is done early in pregnancy or if it causes red degeneration( pain in pregnancy)and a scan is done to know cause of pain
Only symptomatic fibroid or submucous fibroid that can cause menorrhagia , early miscarriages or infertility can be adviced to remove

Just try and relax, remember due date is just an estimate and baby can come + or - 2wks. Like @ hunniesuzie said, enjoy your time alone with DH before baby comes.

Welcome doc. We are glad to have you in our midst. I also had PPROM at 25 weeks plus. That was last year. They suspect infection since I had serious one during pregnancy last year.
For this pregnancy, I was sent for vaginally scan to check os diameter and cervix length in my 13th week to know whether I should go for cerclage. The result showed that my cervix was completely closed and cervix length 4.9
I am currently 17 weeks plus and everything is going on fine all thanks to God.
I'm not on any medication apart from pregnacare original. Hope I'm on the right track?
One of our mothers here also had PPROM last year and lost the baby, but this year, she put to bed without cerclage. She also said hers was due to infection.
God is the one in charge of this my pregnancy, I tell you. He has really made it easy for me.
