Calculations permutations and combinations have started. So other teams have come to draw and sell guguru? Rule number one to get out of group stage: Never loose your first match. Never!. Rule number 2. Always make sure you win your first match. This is mordern football that packing is allowed to frustrate top teams that are good in scoring. Ask Argentina, Brazil and Germany. If they are not careful they may drop points which can get them out of the tournament easily. Nigerian players lost their focus after winning Argentina in their pre world cup build up. The thing entered their head. A team that has less than 3 goal attempt both on tagert and off Target in a big tournament like this, just running up and down the midfield and back again are not ready to move to next stage. Anyone that watch the Croatia match will notice how jiltery the opponent are in the first 30mins. That's where Nigeria supposed to finish the game but they refused to capitalize on their fear and those guys increased their tempo of winning set piece. And that gave birth to the 2 goals. Argentina and Icelandwill do same. Keeping pressures on defense to win set pieces and can give them edges. The only hope is to beat Iceland mercilessly which is a dream that is far from coming through. 33 Likes 1 Share |

He might actually be right. Although, the odds are stacked against us, it's still mathematically possible to qualify. All that's needed now is just a little more motivation for the team. They seemed uninterested and at its height, lacked a sense of urgency. They played the previous match as though they weren't there to win. It made me really question our national value as Nigerians and how far we'll go to represent the country. Not too far, I think, considering how quickly you'll be forgotten if you eventually die pursuing a cause for her. It was a very disturbing moment seeing the match since it revealed the culture of unpreparedness inherent of the Nigerian society and system at large. Everything that played out on that pitch just reflected how bad we're having it as a people. On a similar note, however, we can start building ourselves (skillset) as a people and begin representing the country positively (as some people are already doing) in a rapidly growing and lucrative global technology market. There appears an upward trend in the need for web and mobile developers. You too can become a high-end developer and programmer.
