@Marvel,
Please in a situation a candidate applied for G.T bxs he was only on 4yr experienced at the time of application,
He then clicked 5yrs during interview and was even asked about that by the panel.
What do you think will be his fate, can they consider the candidate as E.H?

He can never be considered for EH, since he applied for GT position from day 1. His experience matters nothing to them even though he was asked about that. He won’t get extra points for his experience level. His performance is all that matters and course of study relating to the position applied for. He shouldn’t have provided his work experience on his profile because it wasn’t necessary as a GT applicant.

@Marvel, some questions were asked based on the experience that the person provided. Does it mean that it is still null and void.

Won't that contribute to getting in as a GT as most organizations like employing people who are trained to a certain level or people with related experience.

Please clarify.

Each candidates profile had a specific number of questions and answers provided to guide the interviewer. If you don’t get the questions right or don’t answer at all, you will loose points. They were trained so the interview sessions would be more interactive and dramatic. That explains why DPR didn’t use a single panel to assess 3000+. The interviewers knew what they were looking out for.
Strongly disagree with this. The current affairs question asked from me took the interviewer like a minute without looking at the laptop or any book.

@Mr mavel thanks for your patience and time. Please what about those on the stakeholders list in terms of course of study vis -a - vis other permutions and mode of contact for APL collection. I'm sure there are lots of them here wanting to confirm but afraid of backlash from others.

Marvel64 do you think the list sent to FCC is final?

I mean there will be no alterations or change after COC has been obtained?
Re: Department Of Petroleum Resources - 2016 Graduate Trainee &experienced Hire Job by ProfCGG: 2:09pm On Jun 18, 2018
My interview questions were 3. Two technical questions and 1 current affair. They asked me questions based on what I stated in my CV and after the technical questions, they asked me why I didn't applied for EH instead of GT. It took the interviewer 2 minutes before he could asked me one tough current affair question like that. I nearly goofed but I thank God for given me retentive memory. My point is, the questions were asked base on how you answer "tell me about yourself? "

The questions were set based on the information provided on the candidates profile. Your experience doesn’t give you an advantage over the other GT candidates. DPR was specific about their needs.

While you were answering your technical questions, they were viewing your General question. Some interviewers asked further questions that wasn’t on the candidates profile just to spice things up but you have been scored already. That’s what they were trained to make you realise the questions never came from your profile. Some were really good actors and actresses.

Yes, the list sent and Approved was final. It can’t be altered. If DPR want to add more names, there’s something called “supplementary list” which is different from the approved list.

Since we are all sharing our interview experiences, let me share mine. Got into the interview room and the first thing was abt my height. Asking if DPR was preparing a basketball team. Next question is where do o work and I told him, asked for my ID and after seeing it the interviewer said “we are looking for people like you who needs just little training since yu are already in a system like ours. Asked just 2 questions more and asked if I have a question and I said yes. I asked a funny question and it was all laughs.
But all in all, I’m not reading any meaning to the friendly interview. Though I’m so confident but I’m banking on Gods Grace.

Good afternoon fellow hopefuls.
I am excited to be back here on this thread. Even when I deactivated my former Smartgrid account, I knew I will eventually comes back. The heat was just too much then, so I had to leave the kitchen Lol.

I have been following this thread occasionally as guest, and over time, alot has been said. Some are true while others are not. Most times I feel the urge to reactivate my account and comment, but then I ask myself; Is that really necessary? You know that kind feeling where you just want to be in peace wink

I want to shoutout to Neverdown, Ferguson, Marvel and Co. For their numerous contributions. Take this from me, they were telling the truth. Though maybe the info is not 100% correct, but I am sure they have sources from within. Bravo.

I am also excited that our boss lady Tamihawtt is back. Everything she shares lately is true. I am very sure she has first hand info. Pls let's be mindful of our comments, if you have any objections pls say it without insulting anymore. Criticized objectively. Because we are hoping to be a future colleagues and lets start respecting one another from this forum.

Okay here are some of the updates from my side.
- FCC has already issued COC to Dpr. I am 100% sure.
- Appointment letters are typed
- Mr Tata has traveled for religious duties. Expected to return tonight or tomorrow.
- Postings are already sorted. Based on field of study and where you are needed.
- Inductions will be in July. And in batches.
- It's very possible to get emails and texts this week.
- Most of the successful applicants were chosen on merit.
- Mr Tata deserves some accolades. He really fight hard for the those who knew no one. One thing about him is straighforwardness, when he said no is no, and yes is yes. If only you know how he fight for you, you all will be praying for him. Most of the stakeholders thought he was joking when he said 'he can't help their candidates if they don't perform well on the test and interview' but he did exactly what he said.

Wishing everyone the best of luck.
Will be updating when more info comes in.

If I am right, you were not asked more than 4 questions, while some people were asked about 7 to 8 questions. Why the variations in the number of questions?
Mine wasn't funny, they almost killed me with weird technical questions.

I’m sorry, I don’t have any information regarding the stakeholders list. I believe some rules were bent to accommodate them (just my thoughts).

@Marvel64, I observed that those who had issues with their credentials were not allowed to be interviewed. Do you have an idea if they were later interviewed? I mean can interview be granted to any candidate who has questionable credentials?
