Oh! Fast Track right?

fatima04:

I just queried why my application wasn't progressing after the advertised 15days and they apologised and told me it will be allocated in 48hrs but was allocated sitting hours of that call. So it could be the call or it was just my turn on the queue.

you have OND, May be try TRA as the occupations assessed by TRA are far less competitive. Unless if you already have your 20 points in English and can get at least 75 points altogether.

Otherwise ICT biz analyst o, programmer o, all na the same for ACS right now. Competitive and on prorata.

odundimple:
Pls i need your advise on the best way to go about this, i need to be to able to claim as much points i can get for my working experience:
i studied computer science and graduated from a federal polytechnic in 2002 , i had 1 year IT in 2003/2004, did direct entry into federal university to study computer science, after 200L we had SIWES prog in 2005(its like an IT prog) for 3 months, in 300l in 2006, we had another 3 months IT, in 400L in 2007 we had 6 months IT and then graduated in 2008, went to serve in 2009. i am currently working with an ICT company since 2012 to date.

With the possibility of ACS deducting 2 yrs from the experience, relying only on my experience in my current place of work might not give me the required points i need to get an ITA, not even with the competition with the prorata occupations.

i cant get reference letters from those places i did IT and wasn't even paid for all the periods i did the IT progs but i spoke to a senior friend who has event management company about giving me a reference that will cover for all those IT periods before 2012 when i started working with my current company, and she has agreed to it.

The issue is i dont have any other proof to back this up except for the reference letter she will give me. Pls how do you think i shld handle this given i need all the points i can claim for work experience?

Hope having all the experience in one letterhead will not look scattered cos the periods are not back-to-back? for e.g 1st IT after my ND is 2003/2004, 2nd 3months IT is 2005, 3rd 3months IT is 2006, 4th 6months IT is 2007, then NYSC and post is 2009 - 2012.

Also, i have been reading that its possible to write IT experiences while in school as part time jobs, how true is ds pls?

Your candid advise will be appreciated, Thanks

If Bellong had put this thread on sales board, the guy might not have been able to make a purchase. O ga oooo. @morounfade, there are 1001 people here who will be willing to give you CDR samples, guide you in writing it, proof read your works and still follow you up to ensure you got a positive. Nonetheless, if you have some doughs for charity don't forget the less privileged and the orphans.

Only two options come to mind.
assess as a customer service manager with Vetassess- South australia, Northern territory, Tasmania and ACT are all sponsoring it. special conditions apply for all these states. you have to go to their website and see what conditions each state is asking for.

Everything I just typed wouldn't make sense except you really read this thread and do your research.

Option two is, Canada.

. Pls how can one go about making them deduct from d experience gained while in school only? Did 2yrs ND program in a fed poly, did 1yr IT in 2003-2004, did direct entry to OAU(200L - 500L) did 3months IT at d end of part 2&3, also did 6months IT in part 4 second semester ,den went for nysc after 500L

If you search my name, you will see my post in the previous thread about how to make experience gained while in school count.
Basically get the companies you did ITs at to give you reference letters.
However, ACS will still deduct about 4-6 years from your years of experience.
which means you might not be able to get up to 75 points needed for ICT occupations for now.
(Age-30, English-20, Education-10, experience -5=65
This is me assuming you are below 30 and has highest english score)

so like someone advised earlier, assess as a hardware technician or ICT Customer Support Officer with TRA.
You will get maximum points for education with that..They are also sponsored by NT, TASMANIA and SA. You need to check their sites and read up on their sponsorship conditions. That route is definitely faster.
Also note new list will be out soon, so you might want to wait to see whats on it before assessing.

Step closer to the dream. cheesy cheesy

We (my sis and I grin) finally got a positive assessment from EA for chemical engineer dis morning after 1month and 10days and 28working days.

Don't know if calling them worked but it was assigned shortly after I contacted them on the 26th day. After 24hrs, we were asked to provide employment verification for a period of 2years the tax certificate was not issued for and I was already prepared for this and obtained receipt from the state govt because we couldn't get the original certificate.

I was able to write a cover letter explaining the situation and also backed it up with the receipt and the outcome was granted for professional engineer the next working day.

Thanks to majiouk for helping to review the CDR, oga spyroxy for pte help, everyone who keeps giving updates and answering all questions, oga bellong for creating this movement (God bless your for creating such awareness)

Advise is to begin the process asap don't bother wasting time just start from somewhere and take it one step at a time because the process is time consuming and one has to be ready to read and research a lot.

EA assessment is pretty straightforward if you follow all the guidelines in the handbook but the fasttrack sservice takes longer now so best to join queue when you have almost or all your documents completed.

So now onto the next stage EOI done for 189 and 190 (NSW) with 65 points. Hopefully by the time they resume issuing nominations next month she may have bagged 20points with English competency.

Thank you all once again, feels good to be moving forward.

Congrats @ Fatima.
Please did you provide reference letter too from the company you currently work with? did it cause any uproar?
EA just requested for additional info of reference from current employer. Wondering how to go about it without any suspicion that I will soon leave (you know the process is long and not guaranteed too)
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by stifo2012: 11:10am On Jun 21, 2018
Your reference letter can be endorsed by your manager/direct supervisor/HR Section.
Why don't you try talking with your direct supervisor?

You will need a reference letter definitely it's one of the dpcuments required of EA and it needs to be stamped and signed.
My suggestion is tell them you want to use it for a professional course online in Australia(because it has to be addressed to them I think ) to further studies, dt shouldn't raise much suspicion.

Also be careful with your job description of duties on the ref letter because it's very important. I believe a sample is on page 0 of the thread.

This is prolly a stupid question but how do you certify your pte result when you've only got a soft copy?

489 visa nomination application requires you to certify both skills assessment LOD and PTE result copy but I only access them online.

They got me confused by asking for these:

Certified copy English Language Test
Certified copy of Skills Assessment
And more...

I will probably upload the soft copies I have.

Thank you.
