I think you need to be employed by a company in SA, I don't have much knowledge of work visa but this screenshot might guide you.

There are different types of work visa. The picture attached by eluquenson is for those who are applying for a scarce skill otherwise known as critical skills visa. Other types of work visa have a different requirement. Check online yourself.

Got my visa. Processing takes just a day now.

They will issue you another visa provided you explain a lil bit in your personal Letter of Introduction why you couldn't utilize the initial visa issued. Provide you submit genuine documents and your visa will be granted.

Note: if the visa was issued over 5 yrs ago, don't bother to explain why you didn't use it.

For someone who wants to do masters, you should have at least a little drive to do some research.

Go to Google, type all your queries there and you will get responses. If you have done this and aren't still clear, you can ask questions here and hopefully someone will attend to it.

Send ur passport copy to any of ur relative in lagos..d person wld go to vfs with ur copy and book an appointment for u then u can make it down to lagos and submit on d stated date

OR go to ABuja where u can submit same day with no appointment booking

1. How much do I take with me as BTA if I'm staying for 3weeks
2. Do I need to PAY for the 3 weeks hotel reservation or just book it down?

Here's my story, after 6-7weeks of waiting on a reply from the embassy, i applied for a withdrawal and i was notified to come get my passport. Only for me to find my visa inside. I wasn't expecting it cos I already applied for a withdrawal. So for those waiting like I was, I think sometimes the embassy forget about your application till you apply for withdrawal then they go did it up and give you a reply. Don't be scared to apply for withdrawal if your documents are legit. That's what finally got me mine after weeks of waiting

1. $500 is the adequate amount as PTA.
2. No, you only need to pay for like 5days if you want to lodge in the hotel. But if you have agreement with the hotel of your choice, you can pay at the facility. Explain that to the immigration officer cos they will check the reservation and can call the hotel at their own discretion.
