He didn't do it to win any favor, he did it for the interest of democracy for closure on the illegal annulment of the adjudged most credible election in the history of our democracy, you can align his actions to the recent passage of autonomous budgeting and buffet for state legislatures and judiciary, that single has clinched true independence of power for the state legislatures and judiciary therefore curbing excessive executive influence.

Honouring abiola doesn't make him a good president. People are still being killed out there by " foreigners" or fulanis. The north is now the most unsaved place to live while the government do absolutely nothing.
Poverty is in the land and the government is not ready to fight it but busy fighting their enemies.
Human rights above is at the worst level.
The government lacks direction and has no vision.
Honouring abiola maybe something admirable. But it doesn't solve the present problems we have now.
We need a better government.
