How old are you, bro? Your naivity is unimaginable. If you tell Umahi to pull Abakaliki people off your state capital, where will you start in pulling Anambra people out of Abakaliki, when most of them cannot go back home (Anambra villages) because they're home at Abakaliki and achieved all they could not have achieved if they had stayed in Anambra? You don't seem to understand that as highbrow as Tokyo, Beijing and Washington DC might look, they still accomodate artisans to sweep the streets, cut the flowers and do those things the elites can't stoop to do. Please, grow up and look beyond that your Awka.

The guy you quoted is an imposter and a goat. Actually I've heard about the renaming before now. I don't like any Eastern governor, they are just figure heads with their mouth on the balls of Buhari. Obiano wanted a 'classy' name for that street because it is one of the 'classiest' streets in awka with hotels and clubs, he didn't do it to spite anyone. Even at that the renaming will fail at the end just like Ezi Elias (Ezi Okpala) did.

Are you new to nairaland or what? That bingo you quoted is a dirty imposter with many handles, so don't be decieved! On topic, the governor of Ebonyi state is a very stvpid and myopic man who is being used as a tool for destabilization in Igboland. This bast.ard won't have said anything if this was done by a northern governor, in fact, he would have been the one to defend them!! He is just trying to instigate the people of Ebonyi state against their kits and kins. Of all the important things in the world, this idiotic man is only worried about name change of a street!!? I'm from Imo state and although the name change may be for good reasons but that governor should either allow the status quo or rename another Street Abakailaki road in to stop the Judas called Umaru from bringing division in Igboland. T)he current crop of governors we have in Igboland today are all efulefus. Smh.

Keep behaving like the proverbial ostrich.

'Igbo's are not united' is a chorus your fathers have been singing even before the advent of internet. It is only fair that the Igbo also show you your rotten wound.

Even on this thread, the first mor0n to insult Igbo's as expected is a dunderheaded Yoruba Muslim (who is probably a skull miner of yoruba christian skulls).

Umahi needs to be cautious. This shouldn't have gotten to the public.
Anambra welcome every law abiding citizen of Nigeria including those who do not litter the environment. Umahi should focus in his state and do well to liberate his people from suffering instead of trying to dictate to other people. China and USA are not allies but they are trade partners.

I kind of sensed 'the bloody taste kind of hatred from your assertion'. The kind of hatred between Ebony & Anambra are not the kind that will lead to genocide or hateful killings going on in middle belt. You wished that kind of hatred among Igbos simple, and that makes you a blood thirst hateful creature.

Abagworo is a cursed useless poor old man. The problem is that he has a paternity issues. His mother told him that his father is from Imo state. Though authentic information out there had it that it was an away match that produced the ugly old man.

I think Umahi is overreacting. Anyone familiar with the street in question, knows that " Club road" is a better name to "Abakiliki street". It's got nothing to do with any discrimination. If I were Obiano, I would name another street Abakiliki to cool tempers

And when new Abakaliki street booms, you change its name too and the cycle continues?

Meanwhile, it's Abakaliki not Abakiliki.
Re: Umahi Condemns Renaming Of Abakaliki Street In Anambra by CptBule(m): 8:43pm On Jun 19, 2018

The renaming won't change anything. People will still refer to it as Abakiliki street till forever.
After all, the renaming of Ezi Elias in Enugu-Ukwu Anambra state to 'Ezi Okpala NRI' didn't change anything. People still refer to it as 'Ezi Elias' till today after many years of its renaming.

Abakiliki is the most popular street in Awka due to its boisterous night life and swarming of runz girls. It is the red light district of Awka. It won't change the popular name.

It's Abakaliki not Abakiliki.

Umahi should start renaming every street bearing anambra names in his poverty-stricken state because we already know that is his intention. Sadly for him, he can't do anything about the Alex Ekwueme federal university.
