Coincidentally, for the past one month I've been on a mission to read all his novels (both the ones I read before and the ones I haven't read). I got like 95% of his books downloaded and I read from my laptop and phone currently reading "The Whiff of Money" never a dull moment with a JHC novel.

I've read 26 from that list. Our indomie generation who are allergic to reading even their academic books don't know anything about Chase novel.

A Coffin From Hong Kong Is One Of The Best Written Works I've Ever Read

...av read about 84 James hardly chase titile..read about 35 of other detective novels and watch over 500 films. but no book,film poem whatsoever has suspense quarter as close as "a coffin from Hong kong" that book is the bomb!

For some reason I never took to his books. I found him boring.

I still wonder y aghata Christie detective books that are soo soo boring is hailed as the best ever British detective books. silly ppl.... james hardly chase shaped my mind on.many tins.. he books where so interesting that it gave me over 50 friends growing up as we formed a chase club and buy and borrow ourselves. op u shld have added that he was a British man.and first a bookstore keeper, his books are mostly about American crime dominated society, he uses American slangs and he learnt both the location of his scenes and the slangs from American encyclopedia and dictionary. he was a marvelous writer. his books were later banned in Nigeria during OBJ's military reign cuz of its imposing characters nd popularity in NIGERIA........
