andrew444: It's literally a conveyor belt. They sometimes don't even play for professional teams and Gbam they are in French league. Ismaila Sarr went from local team Generation at age 17 to Metz on a 5 year contract signed in July within 2/3 weeks he made his debut. Next season Metz (that's under 9 months) sold him for €20 Million to Rennes. See bizness I'm sure Metz paid peanuts to Generation comparatively for him. This is a more pronounced case but it's very common to go straight from Senegal local to France. It's why thier local league is not outstanding. All the talents font waste time to leave. 2 Likes |

andrew444: If you followed the French ligue 1&2, you would be marveled by the number of Senegalese origin players in France and many are ready to rep Senegal. Did you know that Aissa Mendy of Nice (on loan from Leicester) and Haidara of new Castle haven't seen that they have no future with France, wouldn't turn down Senegal? But that said, Senegal FA mumu also for failing to spot Kante when he a nobody playing in ligue 2 1 Like |

Kog45: You can prove me wrong bro. Salif and koulibaly are better than BaloKong. Idowu has nothing on Sabaly neither does Shehu on Wague. Come to the middle, Etebo, Onazi etc have nothing on both Kouyate and n'diaye of Villarreal. Only Ndidi can stand to be counted here. In the attacking midfield, iwobi can stake a claim but on the wings, the likes of Musa have nothing on Balde, Mane et al, then strikers, Ighalo can only dream of putting half the show Niang put. But if Cisse had Kelechi and decided to tweak his formation, he might have the trio of Mane, Kelechi and Niang starting for him to give him more lethal front. Niang is a knock down master with this strength and height which could benefit the left leg of Iheanacho. Otherwise, I am sorry KC also can't start for them. 2 Likes |

somehow:Iwobi was used because he's the most creative attacker we have currently. Optimizing his strength is what we clamor for and not repeating same mistake all over. Talk about fitting square peg into a round hole. |

elyte89:How can you be comparing work that is done to earn profit for the company with repping your country? The worldcup is not a place where countries go to make money, infact governments even spend more to get their team ready compared to the financial gains. It's for pride, recognition and collective growth. That you can even compare repping your government in a sporting event where you are just there for max 1 month before going back to your clubside where you earn your weekly wage says alot about us in this country that sees money as god! I guess Senegals are indians or hispanic? Please post any article here where they were induced with money to perform. Then also tell us that of the other 3 African representative. It's a Nigerian thing and has less to the with being blacks. Never heard of such with South Africans, Zambians et.c |

ChrisKels: Moses might make the team. Ebuehi can make the team,Senegal right back who played yesterday against Poland plays for eupen and he is 19 so ebuehi will make the team. Nacho will make the team,if diouf can make the team nacho will, diouf played mostly wing back for stoke so you can see. Mbaye Niang is not a better player than nacho also trust me |

I never knew this. Just the other day I called for a consortium of the best indigenous coaches. I didn’t get one like. I’m not saying Senegal will win the World Cup, but we do have better tacticians compared to those half baked coaches we employ just because they are white. I hope Rohr does well. I’ve not tagged him a failure yet. You are going to get a foreign coach, let him be PROVEN and as well heart ready for the Nigerian project. ChrisKels: |

isan:Oga we are talking of what that has given them globally. They are rich and consistent in still dominating the African continent. simple!!! They should be doing much more by now with that cash. They dominate African, but their best are afraid of playing the epl or the LA Liga, why? They prefer to stay in Zamalek or AlAhly. Why? |

andrew444: We were talking about our respective starting lineups in this first round, not the over all team. Ebuehi and Nacho didn't start for us na, but yes those two could start for Senegal ahead of Wague and Diouf respectively |

ChrisKels: If Kante was not good enough he might end up playing for Mali by now. There is a guy who plays right back for marseille and he was impressive this season he even played in the europa league final,Senegal coach called him for the World Cup and he turned down stating he wanted to play for France, but this guy is already 26 and France is yet to even give him a look. |

LieDetector: Used from the wings because of his "creative attacking prowess" ogini? Why not used in the middle since he's creative and someone else used from the wing? Bro, the only issue some of us have with you is that you tried to make it sound tribal if or when someone else from another region is used to repeat the same thing Rohr already did. No need explaining yourself again and lets move on. Just remove tribal slum ftom your deductions and always think both ways before making your opinion known. One love.. 1 Like |

gamaliel9: Excuse. Every team is always in transition. It's not am the players that started matches for westerhof in 1992 that started his matches in 1994. This our team missed out in 2 afcon we shouldn't be talking about building 3 years on. We have always building- Mikel, Onazi, etc has been in this team for long. When will building stop? Without bravery we'll be claiming building for the future till eternity. |

komekn:You have a very valid point here. But I consider it footballing slavery @francophone transfers. It's yielded good results however. The English are known to never be good at watching others come to take glory. so they overhyped their own. Drogba was the best francophone to ever make the epl look simple. They couldn't dispute that. But Even Alli is still getting his own boos and racism attacks yet. Sorry for the English peeps. It will truly be a big boost for our league if English scouts come every time in a season to take the league's best to the epl. But it has one major disaster... our league would be in shambles and a cesspit of kwaruption than it currently is. |

andrew444: If Kante had been approached earlier, he would have turned out for Mali because he actually wanted to play for Mali. About your second paragraph, such guys exist, even down here at even 28, I doubt Ibe and Solanke, Adarabioyo and their ilks, would still listen to Nigeria |
