Vo:what does she do
Me:into vegetable oil production and distribution

After crying I called the school and explained what I went through to them, they sent me a letter addressing the embassy that what I applied for and got admitted into is Professional communication studies and not speech communication and rhetoric as stated on the i20.They also explained that the CIP code that has been approved by indiana higher learning commission is what I have on my i20 but for Sevis purposes the major comes up as Speech and Communications Rhetoric.

To imperiouxx and whoever deemed the transcripts terrible
Let me correct you because i was the one with the 1-20 not you and i knew what was written on it secondly that transcript was posted here for people to learn from you don’t need to call it terrible after i had already called the error a mistake for everyone.

First you talked about unnecessary info: But my sisters name was on the i-20 already so there was no way her name won’t come up because i will be staying with her .
Secondly, my uncle is also my sponsor but as i said earlier the bank statement was not complete which was a mistake. Overall the point is if i had lied i most likely wouldn’t have gotten the visa.

How is what I said becomes your own headache? How many I-20 have I seen...... you must have thought I come here to crack a joke. How could her sister's name (another int'l student) be on the I-20? Probably you don't know what you're saying yourself. If you claim to be a follower of this thread, then you don't need schooling to be experienced on what not to say in your visa interview.
I agree with everything you said. Please keep helping people.

Whats the name of the school?
Why would they put a different program on your I20? I think this definitely says a lot about the substance of the school...

SMH.

Yeah I noticed it's not ranked, but it's the school that gave me the best financial aid (full tuition waiver), so I'll go for it. Going for MS Chemical Engineering.

We are all here to learn from each other's transcript. You were given the Visa, but guys here want everyone to learn from every transcript that's posted here. He corrected most of your errors because of others who might want to follow your steps. Please let the issue go, there's no need for any arguments at all. Congratulations to you and your sister. I think your tantrums are unnecessary and this might make people shy away from airing opinions that might help others.

I am so sorry about this @chiomlucy. Now that the school has sent you a letter, you are one document stronger to defend your case with your next VO (the black American lady will never interview you again, trust that!). Just go back with more convincing responses and victory shall be yours. Cheers!

I didn't say you lied. From your transcript you stated your uncle was your sponsor but after they told you your tuition is not covered then you said oh, your sister would be responsible for your living expenses. At some point you also said your mom would be involved. And all this results into you given AP. Probably the way you wrote your transcript is what's not clear, it shows you gave info when they were not asked. That was my point.

Above all, others will learn from these mistakes. Congrats for the visa.

Cheers!

It's not an error and dosnt say bad of the school most schools has a code given to it by the state thus having a different program stated on it, it was an order from the state and they need to follow it up. The school should have made a remark statement somewhere beneath the i-20 the actual program. I strongly believe this wasn't the reason for her denial.

They took your statement of account, put you on AP and later gave refusal.

My guy, this will create an uphill battle to ever get visa to US.

It wasn't even up to 2 hours. how fast do they verify documents. 2 documents for that matter. I submitted 2 accounts and both are solidly genuine.
How could I be facing an uphill when I did everything right?

@ jandedfelloh,

Do you know if the account has a sufficient fund that covers your 1 year studies?

Yes. I was required to show $31k. my account totals $52k. As of yesterday after my interview, the account is currently $56k. So I don't understand. They were meant to see more money if they tried verifying.

This is why I asked if you're sure the total in the account would cover 1 year. Answer this.

Since you said this account is genuine and had enough fund, there must be a mix up somewhere. You can't know what went wrong unless you try again.

Best of luck

Then use engaged since there is no documentation. Your traditional marriage pics can serve tho if you want to use the married option
