Ever wondered why it's normally northern muslims that seem to be in pole position to take over at say the supreme court, court of appeal or FCT high court (the one in which a northern muslim just took over from another northern muslim like say na only them waka come sad )? Well this disproportionate appointment of judges from that neck of the woods is the reason!

Check out how many southerners have been appointed chief judge of the supreme court in relation to those from the (muslim) north, and you'd begin to understand what i'm on about!

Are you not aware that they operate a quota system? There must be an SS vacancy for an SS Justice to be appointed.

All these appointments are filling a vacancy in their respective regions.

If you want SS and SE appointments, pray that all their Justices should die by tomorrow morning. You will see appointments that are strictly Igbo and SE.

Is Igbo a major tribe?

It irks me when these morons call themselves “Major tribe”.

So Ijaw should be calling themselves major tribe too since their Igbo counterparts are calling themselves “Major tribe”.

Igbos deserve whatever they are getting today due to their greed and selfishness in 1966 which led to Igbo coup of 1966.

These fools are the cause of all the mess we all face today.

After their coup, they destroyed the flourishing regional system of government and forced this central government on us despite all the pleas from the North and West. Aguiyi Ironsi was supported by Igbo leaders and people.

If Igbo leaders and their selfish people had supported other Nigerians in condemning the decision of their son called Aguiyi Ironsi then, the story might have been different today.

But Greed wouldn’t let them say anything cos they thought that it’s all to their own advantage until other Nigerians stepped in and destroyed their forlorn hope.

The North couldn’t force central government on us in 1960 due to how powerful the whole South was then until Igbos carries out this “Impossibility” and made it possible for Northerners to rule over other Nigerians till date.

Listen Nigerians, Igbos wanted to do what the North are doing today in 1966 and maintain it till only God knows when but thank God for other Nigerians in the military who cut them to seizes.

As you can see, the new generation of those greedy bastards still have the same blood of their greedy progenitors.

With their 5 states out of 36 states, they probably want 8 appointees from their erosion ravaged dungeon which other Nigerians run away from due to their inbuilt tribalism.

How on earth do you even expect appointments from the same man you hate so much?

Prior to 2015 election, you cursed and abused the same man as if he is not a human being.

Igbo is the only tribe that hate you and show to your face but want your undying love in return with a lot of your goodies attached to that love.

Please, this is judiciary appointments. It is 100% strictly quota system. If one justice dies from SS a justice cannot be appointed from SE to replace him not to talk of appointing someone from the north.

Other federal appointments are on federal character principle. Yes, juicy portfolio has been skewed in the North's favour but not the appointments in general.

Forget that thing! It should be obvious to you by now that the so called Nigerian 'judiciary' is independent in name only! They do the bidding of he who must be obeyed!

They craftily said the appointments are on the instructions of the NJC b'cos they knew the whole exercise was skewed in favour of the muslim north, with Igbos having just two or three token appointments to fulfil all righteousness! This is to deflect any incoming missiles towards the direction of the NJC and allow Buhari to come out of it unscathed!

So you look at that list and can't muster the courage to admit that Igbos were treated unfairly? Not surprised....you have form in that regard!

If most Igbos are in the marketplace or in professional privates firms and just a few in the judiciary, are you going to appoint just any Igbo just to fill up Igbo spaces? Same thing with the Army, how many Igbos are there? So why complain that you don't have Igbo general's when una no join army

I think people should read the Nigerian constitution,public service rules on appointments and other relevant documents before they make comments on issues like this. Then they should know appointment of permanent secretaries, judges etc is based on available slots for states/geopolitical zones

Oga,appointments into the federal high court and appeal court are based on zones and states on equal basis.a glance on the list of current judges in those two courts will sho that eastern states have their quotas filled with little vacancies while several northern states are under represented.this latest appointments is to restore parity.

When last was an ibo federal judge retired talkless of forcefully? The last judges to retire were northerners by my calculation.all eastern states have filled up their quota in the judiciary while that of some northern states are still unfilled,cant you see? Each state and the fct is entitled to 5 produce 5 federal high court judges and 2 appeal court judges.some northern states dont have up to that numbers while almost all southern states have.
