So I’ve not had time to post my decision outcome here so here goes, I got denied in March for a short term study visa and this is the reason they gave. (View photo below)
However I want to apply again in July, so I have a few questions; @Justwise and all my experienced folks here

1. My Fiancé is a British citizen and we have it in mind to apply for a fiancé visa, however we are thinking of just applying for a visitors visa this time around, with my fiancé’s documents and my fiancé as the sponsor.
2. I have a family business that I work as an administrator, i am listed As the next of kin but I plan to include my name as signatory to the business accounts and include a power of attorney in my name for the establishments. Doing this as a result of the concern of my economic ties to Nigeria as a reason for my refusal in March
3. With my fiancé as a sponsor for the entire trip, travel expenses and accommodation, and my ties with Nigeria, should we go ahead and apply for a normal visitors visa or do we still apply for a fiancé visa (checked the requirements and we both have ample documents for that also)
Please guys I really need your advise, I intend to apply again in July. Thanks

Please experts in the house, any help? @justwise @ekpotek I’d appreciate any advice

Hello all,

My timeline for priority service (Abuja TLS):
submitted - 8/6/2018
collected - 20/6/2018

Following our previous communication on this,

I applied for the visa and included all the following recommended documents including a detailed cover letter explaining ALL the credits in my salary statement of account which i submitted.
The confusing thing here is that my reason for visa is to go for a training in bristol, england which will be FULLY sponsored by my organisation.
I attached the admission letter, invitation letter and receipt sent by the organisation.
Including the approval letters from my office for accomodation, feeding and all other cost. Also included a Letter of introduction, employment letter, id card etc.

In the form i mentioned a have a relative in the UK who lives in London
& i am not going to see him, i gave his contact details. Also i attached a copy british passport.

But in they letter they said 'You are applying to enter UK for 22 days for holiday to visit family and friends'

Could it be that my application was not even read properly or what?

Training is coming up July 2 - 20, 2018

Please what are my options... I am confused

@ekpotek @justwise

ekpotek:

1. General/Standard Visitor class
2. Training (be silenced on your brother graduation)
3. Communication between your company and the training institute, evidence of payment of training fees, evidence of hotel accommodation, evidence that the training is important to your career, evidences why you were chosen to attend, company bank statement, copy of company registration etc.
4. No. You can travel with your maiden name on your passsport. Just include your marriage certificate. Photos of wedding etc.
5. Since you are not sponsoring the trip. The bank statement of N800K is okay.
6. 6 months multiple entry
7. Maintain the previous stance for now. Or if you wish to disclose this information go ahead and enclose his British passport data page. However, answer NO that you are not going to visit him or stay with him (a long lost brother that you have just discovered is very difficult to proof shocked shocked)

Include a cover note to address the previous refusal of 2014. Your husband can also give a covering letter to assure the ECO that you will return back after your training, by including his bank statement as a backup sponsor.

Well Let me think like an ECO......
Ur application is in 2 ways 50% for the holiday to be sponsored by r company and 50% on ur own parol

My Judgement:
Ur company own is cleared you have 50% chance of the visa
ur own part is 0% because there is a cash lodgement in ur account which you did not prove/explain

so ur overall mark is 50% = NO VISA.

Note: (na me think am o)

ECO thinks after the sponsorship of ur company , u alone dont have enough fund to cater for yourself. If it were only to be ur company you would have gotten 100% VISA. (as i see the eco dont even mention the training u are going for at all, he/she might have confirmed everything ok on that aspect, : but for your own waka he/she was not convinced)

Thank you( My opinion thogh)

Good day house. Please I'm new on nairaland. Someone introduced me to this thread after I made some very expensive mistakes in my visa application. I've gone through the thread and I must say I regret not knowing about it earlier.
I would appreciate if the experienced guys in the house can put me through on a few things so I don't make any more costly mistakes.
I was recently refused entry clearance for a Tier 2 visa. I lost 10 points under English language proficiency. Apparently I took the wrong IELTS exam, didn't know there's an IELTS General and IELTS general for ukvi. I have taken IELTS general for ukvi and I'm confident of the outcome, expecting results Monday or Tuesday next week. I intend to reapply for my Tier 2 visa immediately my IELTS results are out.
I have a few questions.
1. Can I use the priority service (5 working days processing) considering my visa category and my recent history of visa refusal? Someone told me she paid priority and it still took 15 working days so she doesn't think priority works for Tier 2 visas. I also read a statement on the TLS website that suggested that those with previous refusals may still take 15 working days even if they pay for priority. There was no refusal stamp on my passport, does this apply to me? Im thinking of using priority because I don't want to shift my resumption date again, I've done that twice already. At the same time I don't want to waste money on priority if it won't work for my case. I've lost a lot of money on my first application already.
2. Is there a way I can fast track my IHS refund, I learnt it takes 28 days, not sure if its 28 days or 28 working days. Or alternatively, if I can't fast track the IHS refund is there a way to make use of it in my new application without necessarily getting a refund.
Thanks.
cc justwise ekpotek

To the glory of God, I got my passport today with 3 years tier 2 visa. I took the IELTS for ukvi, passed. Did my biometrics at Ikeja on June 8, using walk in and priority. Got my passport today, decision was made June 18 that's 7 working days.
Thank God my priority payment wasn't in vain but Ikeja show me pepper for walk in, walk in turned to stand out, they didn't attend to us until after all those on appointment had been attended to. Well all is well that ends well, decision was made on the day I would have had my appointment if I didn't use walk in.
Those UK people have chopped my money plenty, I must retaliate when I land UK, not coming there to count bridge.
Thanks to all that contributed to my matter.

Hello guys. Please I need help/advice
My dad and my brother would be attending my graduation ceremony and I filled and submitted their visa form. I put travelodge hotel address on their form as that’s the best place for them to stay. I’m trying to book their hotel now and I realised the dates for their travel, travelodge doesn’t have rooms available. Is it possible I book another hotel and they write a note to the eco explaining the situation and attach the note when they go for their biometrics/ interview.

Please help! [/quote]

That was how tls staff made me to forget giving her my invitation documents for scanning that leads to my first refusal. I had to quickly reapply so I can meet up with the exhibition program which is my main purpose of this visit.

Just reapply with a new statement. All the best.

alright thanks boss and have a safe trip...

Don't jeopardize your future application. What were thinking before you said 10 days? They gave you visa because you told them that's the number of days you want to spend. You can always visit again before your visa expires.

Good luck!

We sha like to dey draw trouble wey sleep jejely on its own.

You shouls have told them 3 weeks, but i think you dont have finances that can cary you 3 weeks when applying abi : thats ok

But abeg no stay pass 10 days (+2 days is still explainable sha, but how u wan teh explain +11 days if you were unlucky with ECO when reapplying know that they wont even talk when you are going out of UK but you would have been tagged) and they will be anxiously waiting for your re-application, thats when gbege go happen.

Please dont abuse the VISA.....id you dont, they will always give you

if you abuse it , they will always trick you to reapply and the visa will never com

Congratulations... I have not gotten any response on my application.

Did Biometrics on the 10th of May
Received by UKVI and prepared for consideration by ECO ON the 14th of May

Just yesterday received a mail in my spam that is a survey if I have received any decision made with my application within the last 3 months.

Until this moment I have not received any mail from UKVI PR TLS. It's been about 30 working days now.

Just picked up my passport with my visa granted.

Time-line
Submitted Application - 8 May
Biometrics - 31st May
Application Transferred to UKVI - 31st May
Application Currently being prepared for consideration - 9 June
Application Ready for Collection - 21 June

I didn't receive any decision made email, just the ready for collection. I had deposited N781,000 into my savings account in April which made me nervous but I explained the source in a cover letter. This isn't my 1st UK visa. I'm single and female.

My application was submitted in Abj. Exactly 15 working days.
