Hi guys, quick question for the uber guys in Abuja. Is it normal to bank on uber picking someone up from airport? I am going to Abuja and I remember hearing stories of uber guy finding it dangerous to pick someone in airport.

I always come across one car like that... Maybe one should try it, could be expensive sha: "MG 350s" its 1.5ltrs engine has this corolla/Elantra look, but more beautiful. England made i think.... Read about it
I drove it last year, the higher one “MG 550” (Morris Garage) it is a Rover product Uk. China bought d company over. I think is been manufacture by China now. The interior and Exterior design is dope. Riders likes it lot, I was getting back to back offline trip call. Got a lot of tips on online trips. It’s actually 1.8 litre Engine. It’s not fuel economical like Corolla, Parts are very scarce in the market. Common door handle broke l couldn’t find it the market. Very very expensive to service and maintain. Suspension is very low. It hits d ground every time I drive on a bumpy area. It’s not strong and rugged like Corolla because of that I chose places to go and not to go. From experience I think it is more suitable for private use than using it for Uber and Taxify

Realistically, the pricing difference is not that bad. And you are compensated for traffic more on lite.

@thebigkendo and other people using Honda Accord would be able to advise you appropriately.

But 2.4 Ltrs Engine would be bad for business if you wan rent am out to drivers but might be fun if you drive it yourself.

Disclaimer - I don't know anything about Honda product because I don't use it. grin

Like I don't understand, If you ask them why they choose other cars to corrola, they will tell you it attract thieves and vandals. Meanwhile, we all know that the one that has been vandalised in Lagos is not even up to 5% of the corrola. As if buying and driving a car is not a risk on it's own.

Tell me the good reasons and analysis you think other brand of cars are better to corrola for e-hailing business like DRU did by stating some facts on his elantra so that we can all learn from what we don't know. Not all this vandalism yenyenyen

Sir,

Registration under Uber are classified under 3 categories

1. Car Owner not driving
2. Car Owner and driving
3. Driver no Car

I registered using the first option and here is the process:

I did all my registration online.

Go to partners.uber.com upload your vehicle Road Worthiness and Comprehensive Insurance.

Under Payment, provide your Bank Account Number, Swift Code and TIN.

For Taxify, you can also register online but you need to visit their office to complete registration.

I only registered my car on Uber and my Oga driving the car went to Taxify office to register the car on their platform.

If you're driving, you need to ask people driving on the platform how they went about registration since I didn't register to drive on any of the platform.

I hope I have been able to help instead of confused you. grin

Don't worry sir, we are so glad you want Corolla alternative.

If you like Toyota brand, try Matrix, Yaris, Avensis or Camry grin cheesy grin

Since you're scared of transmission transmission Hyundai Elantra which most people now preferred as Corolla alternative.

You can also go with #TeamHondaAccord like my Oga
thebigkendo.

Honda Civic dey there, also we have the Lion family #TeamPeagout.

You #TeamKiaRio and #TeamKiaCerato.

Another option are #TeamHyundaiAccent.

You also have a other choices like
1. Nissan
2. Innoson grin grin
3. Ford etc

Too much of Corolla isn't good for Lagos road grin grin
