OK boss! I will give Nacho a benefit of doubt, hope he will not disappoint. Happy Eid-El- Fitr once again

But Ighalo goal return is not encouraging. We struggle to score with him on the pitch. Iheanacho can score and pass.

Its called mind games. He's creating a future projection that promises things to get better in the future (Trying to strategize his job security)

If he raises our expectation by promising heaven and earth and ends up getting knocked out in the competition, he'll be sacked for not meeting that expectation.

Rohr has been pretty smart with his choice of words, always making it clear how our opponents have better players or have a better Fifa ranking. So that when we lose we go like "After all they are better than us, no shame"

What he says after a match is very important. Blame something else not how inferior your players are with respect to the opposition. It's lowers morale.

I know it sounds crazy but Nigeria might end up topping this group with Argentina behind: If Argentina beat Croatia today=4 pts for them and lose to us,they remain on 4 pts. When we beat Iceland and Argentina,we take 6pts. If Croatia lose to Argentina and draw Iceland, they take 4 pts. Then goal difference comes in to settle second between Arg and Cro. Whewww,we still got a chance, quite slim but we're good grin grin

What if Croatia loses to Argebtina but wins iceland....

I honestly don't wanna analyse this. I just wanna keep mute. Rohr will surprise us with a formation and starting personnel tomorrow but maybe Colin just deliberately dropped one or two names out. We surely cannot be showing our cards this early to Iceland naa.

I'm sure Collin changed the set up, because he said on his post two days ago that formation fee leaked isn't good, so why will be do same

. Then we'll either come first or second on goal difference. I just gave that analysis in the instance of us coming 1st.

Rohr : Mikel & Moses Are The Star Players In Super Eagles, Others Stars Of The Future
Manager Gernot Rohr has explained why there are only a few star players in the Nigeria squad despite the fact that the population of the country is 500 times the population of Iceland.

The German has named former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel and the current Nigerian Player of the Year Victor Moses as the two players that can be classed as stars in the Super Eagles team, and has predicted that the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Tyronne Ebuehi will be stars of the future.

''Why we don't have star players? It's because we are the youngest team of the World Cup,'' Rohr said at Thursday afternoon's pre-match conference before the start of training.

''We have Obi Mikel, who is a very good player, you can tell that he is a star, we have Victor Moses who is well known everywhere but we have so many young players, they will be stars, I hope so, tomorrow.

''What we have is a team for 2022, because when you are so young, with the goalkeeper and all the other people, they will be better and better. ''

Rohr has reiterated that the Super Eagles are the underdogs in Group D, pointing out that their three rivals Argentina, Croatia and Iceland are ranked higher than his team in the FIFA ranking.

''We are in the top 50 in the world, Iceland is in the top 20 (22), Croatia is in the top 12 (20) and Argentina in the top eight.

''When I see that the matches are so difficult and the scores are so close, we have to learn also, it is not finished after this World Cup for us.

''We want to improve, we want to learn. When you are the youngest, it is not possible, perhaps, to be the best already,'' he added.

Rohr, who penned a two-year contract extension earlier this year, refused to comment on his future with the Nigeria National Team in the event that they lose to Iceland on Friday.

Croatia are a well drilled team. They seem to be able to nullify Argentina just the way they made us look ordinary.

I hope so, I just hope so. I want my country people to be happy, to smile together and joyous. Super Eagles Arise just like Afcon 2013 quarter final against Côte devoir when everyone has written us off but we shock them.

You have a very valid point here. But I consider it footballing slavery @francophone transfers.

It's yielded good results however. The English are known to never be good at watching others come to take glory. so they overhyped their own. Drogba was the best francophone to ever make the epl look simple. They couldn't dispute that.

But Even Alli is still getting his own boos and racism attacks yet.

Sorry for the English peeps.

It will truly be a big boost for our league if English scouts come every time in a season to take the league's best to the epl. But it has one major disaster... our league would be in shambles and a cesspit of kwaruption than it currently is.

Actually they will not even bother work permit rules make it a waste of time.

There are ways for creative agents to bring youthful players in. However. the greed of the clubs makes it impossible to have reasonable negotiations with them.

If Kante had been approached earlier, he would have turned out for Mali because he actually wanted to play for Mali.

About your second paragraph, such guys exist, even down here at even 28, I doubt Ibe and Solanke, Adarabioyo and their ilks, would still listen to Nigeria

The reality deal is for Nigeria scouts yo discover players before they get known.

Ademola expressed clear interest to play for Nigeria when he hadn't made it same with Ovie Ejaria but what did the NFF do

Until we move away from the deal and settlement culture. Nothing will happen.

Looks like giving up to me. This card he's playing is not working. He should be instilling belief into the boys. Why is he telling us what we know already. More like excuses for impeding failure.

I disagree with you my friend. Not smart choice of words to me.
