Croatia are favorites to lift the trophy. They have a Golden generation. Imagine all their players are big names in Europe

For me:
Goal line - yes
VAR - no no no. So long as there's human input to it they may still be bias that may even be worse than normal referee. So far some error that ought not to be overlooked had been overlooked by VAR and some that should be overlooked has been reviewed. Very controversial to me.
They only make calls when they wish

You people sha. Croatia didn't put this much effort against us...Infact they didn't even need to go up a gear against us.

They put in effort but our organization was very good. We just lacked attacking bite.

Great players and a seemingly good tactician in Dalic.

If Croatia been play like this against us, e for reach 5

Yet, they had only one shot on target against us. We played well defensively. Both teams cancelled each other out. If not for our error, it could have been a dull 0:0 draw

Deviating from the subject matter for a moment.

There has been this campaign to justify the double standard and or to exclude players of Nigerian origin not born in Nigeria.

There is an assumption made by many that WE GOT IT EASY because we are in Europe. With that assumption there is the belief that extreme poverty does not exist here. Add to that poverty institutional racism and you see the mountains our players have to climb here.

I read Lukaku's story who I have met a few times and have spoken with. Find him to be a very well balanced individual very humble and respectful as well.

His story " I've got some thing to say" brought tears to my eyes.

https://www.theplayerstribune.com/en-us/articles/romelu-lukaku-ive-got-some-things-to-say?utm_source=social&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=worldcup18&utm_term=Lukaku

Hopefully some of you will appreciate things differently with regard to the struggle of Nigerian origin players in Europe.

Foreign born controversy again. Please come again after tomorrow: we are doing serious permutations here.

Yes,we were more organised than Argentina...they did not score us from open play...they were just careful with us..not giving us a space to counter-attack

With good formation and selection we can beat argentina if we do not commit unnecessary fouls at box 18 . Today no free kick at edge of 18 for messi

Argentina are going home.

They were poor.

Yes we can beat them but it will not be easy they are a Wounded Lion.
If we are being honest, Argentina shouldn't have made it to the world cup in the first place.
Justice will be served if they are booted out of the competition. Hopefully Nigeria could take advantage.
My only regret is that Messi will have this world cup thing hanging over his shoulders.

Croatia against us us different from the one against Argentina.

They played very relaxed today because they had 3 points while Argentina played with much pressure because they bungled in their first game. This explains why the keeper made that error and that was the turning point of this game.

Tomorrow Nigeria will be under tremendous pressure while Iceland won't be. This is their maiden tournament - they have already exceeded expectations. A win will be a plus for them while a loss won't be fatal. I hope Nigeria will be able to shrug off the *fear of not making it and play their normal game.

Rohr : Mikel & Moses Are The Star Players In Super Eagles, Others Stars Of The Future

Rohr : Mikel & Moses Are The Star Players In Super Eagles, Others Stars Of The Future
Manager Gernot Rohr has explained why there are only a few star players in the Nigeria squad despite the fact that the population of the country is 500 times the population of Iceland.

The German has named former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel and the current Nigerian Player of the Year Victor Moses as the two players that can be classed as stars in the Super Eagles team, and has predicted that the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Tyronne Ebuehi will be stars of the future.

''Why we don't have star players? It's because we are the youngest team of the World Cup,'' Rohr said at Thursday afternoon's pre-match conference before the start of training.

''We have Obi Mikel, who is a very good player, you can tell that he is a star, we have Victor Moses who is well known everywhere but we have so many young players, they will be stars, I hope so, tomorrow.

''What we have is a team for 2022, because when you are so young, with the goalkeeper and all the other people, they will be better and better. ''

Rohr has reiterated that the Super Eagles are the underdogs in Group D, pointing out that their three rivals Argentina, Croatia and Iceland are ranked higher than his team in the FIFA ranking.

''We are in the top 50 in the world, Iceland is in the top 20 (22), Croatia is in the top 12 (20) and Argentina in the top eight.

''When I see that the matches are so difficult and the scores are so close, we have to learn also, it is not finished after this World Cup for us.

''We want to improve, we want to learn. When you are the youngest, it is not possible, perhaps, to be the best already,'' he added.

Rohr, who penned a two-year contract extension earlier this year, refused to comment on his future with the Nigeria National Team in the event that they lose to Iceland on Friday.

Nigeria was very organized against Croatia. Much more Organized than Argentina today. That was the major difference. Argentina has been poor defensively for a long time.

My brother the thing tire me..I can't bliv a coach is saying this.. If a coach can open his mouth to utter this rubbish then there is no need having hope of qualification because its the work of the coach to inject confidence into his team....but this comment here means he has accepted defeat already... THIS IS PURE COWARDICE. I'm so so pissed at this MAD COWARD.

Your coach is a coward and he believes his team isn't ready for the world cup. He already down played ur win against Argentina saying Messi wasn't there. The latest now is telling us we are in top 50 while our opponents have better ratings, hence we should lose without shame.

That Rohr guy is a big failure, dont expect anything positive from him. If we scaled through, na miracle and all praises should go to the players and fans for proving the negative coach wrong.
