Then Sampaoli is what? Look let Rohr actually fail before you can tag him that because as it stands, He has not failed yet. Rohr's team is better disciplined than this Argentine wack show of a team we just witnessed. What happens to calling a spade a spade eh? Argentina is WAAACCCCK!!! And they can be raped by Nigeria as it was in November last year. . ChrisKels: 3 Likes |

edi287: They played a different tactics because they were afraid of leaving spaces behind. Nigeria's strength in recent times is the counter, they played to avoid getting countered. Argentina on the other hand loves to keep possession. They are not a counter attacking side. It was easy to play with a different approach. 2 Likes 1 Share |

apart from this Argentine team being a bit disorganized you get the feeling there seems to be a dearth of quality midfielders and defenders coming out of there in recent times 1 Like |

Those two will be key. Tactics is not enough. We had the tactics that helped us reduce Croatia's effectiveness but it was not enough. Matching the Croatians tactically was not enough. Sometimes it is also about the playing personnel executing those tactics. Those two will be key against Iceland if they play. You sef know. forgiveness: 1 Like |

Icon4s:At this moment, a draw with Argentina is confidence-boasting to Iceland unlike a loss to Croatia for us. In 2013, our eyes was on the trophy immediately we beat CIV. In 2002, Senegal went far after that ego boasting feat of beating defending champions. Beating or holding a team you consider stronger is confidence-boasting. |

Iceland just need a win against us tomorrow and they are home and dry cos their last match will be against already qualified Croatia. Also Argentina we see us as beatable and can still qualify. Everyone still in the game. If we scale through this group stage obstacle. We will get to the Semi final. 2 Likes |

Argentine team has a big hole in the middle of the pack. They tried all the could to close it, but it was just there, and Croatia kept exploiting it. To be candid. Etebo was a beast in our game. I mean he did a wonderful job, kept his marking tidy. Always where he is supposed to be. SE just need a little self belief, change of personnel to other positions, the team will come good. 5 Likes |

The danger in this result is that our players may be feeling like some of you now. And Rohr would be feeling vindicated. That’s not good going into the final matches. elyte89: |

3-0, chaiiii!!! Well, our work is cut out for us. After all, there is still hope and I hope our players saw this. We must play like our lives depend on it tomorrow, regardless of the coach's tactics. We must give Iceland hell. Afterwards, we must BEAT Argentina. Those two wins will send us deep in this competition. SE, over to you. Time for the Eagles to get the job done. |

Relax Chriskels Sir... Relax. Rohr used this same tact against the Algerians and Cameroonians and it paid off. I have listened to a bit of what He and Pinnick tell the boys. What he tells the media is way different and has a modest approach. Rohr is not a coward. Give it time. Tomorrow is not far. I want him to improve in other aspects but calling him a coward and a failure is way too early and ill-timed at this point. Relax my good man, I believe Rohr is no fool. ChrisKels: 1 Like |

Argentina are bunch of bottlers who wouldn't have qualified for this tournament if Messi didn’t have his ban overturned. You get the feeling this generation of Argentine players turn up for games knowing fully well that no matter how bad they played, the focus will always be on Messi after the game. No wonder Messi looks miserable in an Argentine shirt. LeBron James and Messi are carrying unfair burden. 1 Like 1 Share |
