NonsoWow: Ok, I didn't know about the northern parts of enugu state converting to islam. Same with nsukka and abakiliki people. I read on the news the other day about a large donation from dangote to ebonyi moslems. One ebonyi alhaji ajah was jumping up and down for joy. That simply goes to show that some northern igbos have been infiltrated by islam that will result in a slow creep into igbo heartland. That validates not negate what I was saying about the Iranians. It looks like the Iranians are trying to get in the game after discovering that islam have taken root in igboland and they didn't want shiite islam to be left behind. Of course, the Iranians are a BIG BIG THREAT. If you call yourself an Igboman, I'm SHOCKED you don't have the forsight to figure out that an investment in HOSPITAL by the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN is questionable investment. GEEZ. Are you people igbos or not. A freaking HOSPITAL!!!!! WTF. That's as easy as ABCD. Not an INVESTMENT in steel factory, or a persian rug factory, or an air conditioning factory, or a car components and accessories factory. Noooooooo, a freaking HOSPITAL!!!!!! Are you freaking KIDDING ME? Do you know that the fact that some of you have refused to debate this alert have left me SERIOUSLY CONFUSED about the kinds of igbos we have on this forum. Any Igboman extolling the virtues of ISLAMIC REPUBLICS like the ones you have in the gulf and iran ought to have their heads examined thoroughly. So, this means that the hitherto 100% largest christain tribe in Africa have been conquered by islam. Can some of you DUMB igbos that were acting like I was speaking GREEK now shout ALLAHU AKHBER to that. After all, while all the moslem countries will forever remain 100% moslem, former 100% christain groups will soon see their christian numbers go down and their moslem numbers go up. A process that started in yorubaland a while ago which will in no distant future see the christian Yorubas become a tiny minority. |

cjrane: i quite agree with you on this I think the demand and agitation for a referendum should be pursued legally in international courtrooms in the UK, USA and other countries. Once the merits of a UN supervised Referendum on the Biafra question are determined to have been met based on Universal Human Rights Charter Declaration Of the UNITED NATIONS by several competent courts across the globe, then the governments of those countries are pressured to stop trade and arms shipment to a country like Nigeria committing all these secret heinous crimes against people. In time, the rotten pack of cards called Nigeria will collapse on it's own sins or forced to seek a structure that is fair to all and allows all to thrive peacefully. but while we pursue this legally , lets no loose the fact that Nigeria is a real big Jungle where pythons will chosse to dance before unarmed protesters but commit suicide before armed boko haram members 2 Likes |

And the newly finished coal city mega pavilion has recently opened for business. ....... There are more than 10 of these shopping complex types being completed and opened inside the city. But I think our people should invest more on e-business. More people should open e based retail platforms to deliver goods and services, even groceries to homes in Enugu. 10 Likes 1 Share

spyder880: Oga Spyder, thank you for posting these plazas. I hope they are affordable and the youths that need to set up something are watching. Somebody once asked if there were any companies in the SE that pays N150 per month salary. My answer to that person is to STOP looking for somebody's company to pay you N150,000 per month. SET UP YOUR OWN BUSINESS! Whatever you can do, find a decent place to set up. If you are a good plumber, instead of waiting for a plumbing company to employ you, set up your own plumbing company and let people call you to come to their homes and fix plumbing issues. If you are into selling ready made African fabrics, learn to have local tailors to sew it for you to reduce cost instead of importing already sewed stuff from Senegal and complaining about low profit margin. These are things that the youth need to be doing. Look for productive and services venture where you can use as your own business and not looking for who will employ you. I am hoping these types of modern business plazas are established more than building more open markets. Although open markets are good, they need to be modernized and kept clean. 8 Likes 1 Share

Xander85: I'm truly tired of this ignorance of our people fixated on soil color. Unless we plant GRASSS and have a habit of sweeping roads, every Nigerian city will continue to look like SH*T. The whole of Southeastern USA, from Georgia to Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi etc have red soil. So why does Tecno go there to shoot videos? Because they sweep their streets and plans GRASS! Please stop this embarrassing talk of blaming soil color for the neglect of our cities. Just plant tress, grass and flowers, then you will achieve what southeastern USA achieved with exactly the same type of soil and exactly the same color as in Enugu, 10 Likes

The first picture is Owerri. The second picture is Benin city Please tell me the difference in soil color? I would have posted Abuja too so you see for yourself that LANDSCAPING is the key not blaming the dirt earth for our laziness not to landscape. In Africa we love to blame the gods or the weather for even things that are our fault. I have see farmers who planted their crops next to the river Niger blaming the rains for poor harvest! When they could easily dig a gutter to allow the river water irrigate their farm. We should learn to plant trees, flowers and grass to cover the bare earth and stop blaming God for making the earth brown or red instead of white. 3 Likes

arinzeejikonye: Am i the only one getting a bit impatient with the slow pace of work at the centenary city? They started about the same time as the eko atlantic, yet that one, even though it's a more complicated job, has gone much further and seen noticeable progress. I was sceptical about the Enugu one at some point when i noticed the job done didn't reflect what was shown in the promotional video, but they seem to have improved things a bit...not minding the fact i noticed a few open gutters which i thought would be a no-no in the new estate. Also noticed they're using interlocking stones for the inner streets which is nice. They just need to hurry things up a bit, let's start to see some finished streets! And they shouldn't forget to plant trees at this early stage, so they can be matured by the time families start moving into their new homes. |

spyder880: If they just write coal city pavilion instead of inserting the mega, will it stop the structure from being beautiful? All these fake names we keep giving our structures is really annoying. If they open one shop, they will name it "Ultra modern shop". Its just very sad that we do things and make it look like we have done something that has not been done before and make look larger than it is. Keep names simple and stop making look local with too many names. 3 Likes |

DawatNama: I mean in all aspects of life, there is no one in my family that you come close to both in education and achievement. I am not saying it for the sake of boasting. People like you just come online and be insulting people because you have mouth. Now if they build a plaza bigger than that, what will they name it? Super plaza? supernatural plaza? A plaza is a plaza and stop using mega, ultra modern and the rest. As big as dubai mall is, they never named it dubai ultra modern mall. Its simple, dubai mall and its still bigger than all the malls in Nigeria. So why the use of hyperbole? 1 Like |

I am not hating on the development, in fact it is a welcome development but I am just saying that the use of the plaza will not diminish if the name is still simple as coal city pavilion. 3 Likes |

My prediction about nigeria going the way of India, poverty wise have been validated by a newstory on today's vanguard newspaper. I thought it was a few years away from happening but today's poverty index report indicated that it has happened already. From now until DRASTIC changes are made, nigeria will forever be known as the POVERTY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD, having over taken India today. I knew it was coming. A visit to India and nigeria eerily show similar patterns and behaviors. Even though India is scientifically and technologically ahead, it's still a country where 300 million people are shiiting on top of 1 billion people. There is one unmistaken similarity that is obvious if one visits both countries, KEKE NAPEP, popularly known in India as rickshaw. Both countries are the KEKE NAPEP capital of the world. KEKE NAPEP and OKADA is the first obvious sign of a POVERTY INFESTED place. That is why I have warned the south east to do away with KEKE and OKADA civilisation, which is easy to do because we have an indegenious car manufacturing company in igboland. But noooooooo, while some governors like Okorocha is doing away with KEKE, obiano and co are trying to entrench it. I have a lot more predictions. In no distant time, most of them will be coming through. 1 Like |

Ofuzo: Oga, go and drink your medicine. If they put Rochas and Obiano you will choose Rochas? Biko, park well. Nigeria has been a sh*t hole for a long time. It has the worst types of leaders and also the worst types of followers who would rather live in poverty as long as their tribesman is calling the shots. A country that will choose to kill Enugu Intl . airport that has potential to grow her economy, just because the airport is located in a hated part of the country? Nigerians deserve every bit of what happens to them. So what if the world know we are poor? So, what is the news there? Nigerians have been crossing the desert to do prostitution in Libya and Tunisia. If Nigeria were not poor, will her citizens be there? How many Libyan girls do you see on the streets of Lagos or Maiduguri doing prostitution? Despite their country being war torn? Nigerians deserve Nigeria. until we come together to do the right thing and kick out these old rogues ruling and impoverishing us. 5 Likes |
