Oga you are always asking about positioning.there is no positioning just stay in V.I and hope for someone going home from work or some oyinbo leaving the restaurant for their hotel or vice versa...you are apparently still new why not take your time to study the trends yourself or go through previous posts.the only other advice I can give is to take advantage of surge zone.ikoyi is usually having surge from 7pm atimes so take advantage but most times you fit wait make request no quick come.pls note am referring to Uber alone..
Ok... Thx

One more car u need to look into when it comes to fuel consumption is the 2005 civic, it is highly fuel efficient, strong, less problematic and also not expensive to maintain...
It's not a ride that will get u a lot of offline trips but it will surely get the job done.
Can this type of corolla get you much offline trips?

This is my only snag with getting a corolla, damn too common and makes you stick out like a sore thumb so the average police go disturb you cos dem go believe say you be Uber and so make you drop sumtin, yellow cabs or airport cabs go dey mark you make you enter one chance but the fuel comsumption walahi is too super to be ignored which to me makes it stand out from others, honda civic would have been good but its too small and very low clearance on the road and the kias are like toy cars, if i can get Avensis 1.8ltr i should be good.
Good morning bros, you haven't replied my mail. Pls, I hope to hear back from you. Thanks in anticipation.

I don't know much about the hybrid version. If a 2005 civic gives bet miles per gallon, why opt for the hybrid version when we know competent mechanic for "hybrid cars" are rare and maintenance of hybrid doesn't come cheap

eherbal:
been doing research on the 2005 Honda Civic and I dare say it's strong competitor of the Corolla, especially the hybrid version.the mileage per gallon is wowie.does anyone knows if hybrids are good for e-hailing? the civics hybrids are top notch in gas mileage, but don't know if auto mechanics or parts are available in Nigeria.anyone?

There are still good Nigerian used cars but they are not found easily, should u find one, then go with it. All fingers are not equal and also not everyone buys the idea of Higher Purchase.

I drive this. It's an offline magnet, especially if it's fresh. I have business cards I share out to my customers, I also have free internet in my car, I like to think those help me get callbacks. I use glo so the subscription is pretty affordable.
At a point, I never had to log onto Uber because I had some 2 particular clients who would take up all my driving time everyday. That's why I believe the guy that said he can make 20k from 2k fuel, it's not common but it's very possible. I used to make 15k from 1k petrol at 2k/hour. All I had to do was park in one place and browse the internet.
As someone said earlier, people like to pull up looking good. If your car allows them look good, then you are a frontline candidate for off lines.

What most people don't know is that Naija Used are golden opportunity hiding in plain sight.

But like they say, if its too good to be true, run away.

If you want to buy naija used car, your consideration shouldn't be because of the cheap price. If you buy a car because it's cheap you're setting yourself up for failure.

I remember when I was in the market for a car, my first choice was a toks then I accidentally stumbled on a Naija Used Car. Went for physical inspection for both cars and the Naija used beat the toks.

Mind you, I bought the car from first user who bought it brand new from an accredited Toyota Dealer in Nigeria.

Collect my Naija Used Car at approx. 66,000 km and also have a savings of over 1 milla. The best toks available during inspection was at 135,000km and damn expensive compared to the Naija used.

Also please, before you buy a naija used car try and do customer profiling before making payment. If car owner reside in Sango Otta and works in Ajah using the car daily yet the car has low mileage, my brother run for your life.

And please be like eherbal and iyaegin, don't buy Corolla. Too much demand for the car, makes it damn expensive now.

Aboki are very scarce now because you need at least 6 to protect a single Corolla. grin grin grin

Let push the Mexican towards other car model. tongue cool lipsrsealed

Lol, I agree with you, there are also some nigerian used cars that is as good as toks but such cars are not found on a daily.
A friend of mine makes use of a 2013 Ford Explorer and he does not joke with maintenance, replaces every part with oem and he is a very careful driver, buying a ride like that will absolutely give u value for your money.

If person wan buy naija used car he/she shouldn't buy below 5 or 6 years.

If I am in the market for a 2005 or 2009 car, Naija used isn't an option.

Also people should know that buying a car is a major decision that should never be rushed.

You cannot afford to get it wrong. If you do, your bank account would be seriously hurt.

I have bought a few Nigerian used cars that were first rate buys.

It hurts to see educated fellows ridicule their education by claiming without qualifiers that Nigerian used cars should be avoided at all cost.

We all know that to every rule there is an exception -
1. that includes Nigerian used cars, and
2. that includes affluent people hiding in plain sight by buying ordinary cars taking very good care of them while also owning top of the range vehicles and keeping econoboxes for times when they want to blend in

In conclusion, Nigerian used cars can be very good buys, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Why lead someone astray, the fellow who asked I believe is new in the city and possibly do not understand the Terrain that much and you're encouraging him to wait for request knowing fully well he could be Nabbed. Bibi I trust you can do better

I think you misunderstood what he was saying, he wants to come to Abuja and wants to know if he can request an Uber from the airport.
Or at least this is how I understand it.
It's a good thing you spoke up and I thank you for clarifying with me.
I'm a bit surprised that you know my name, which means you know me, and you would accuse me of such, it only means you don't know me that well.
Please if you know more, say more.
