Ovamboland: Actually I didn't, and you made a valid point. Such politics of appeasement, historically have trapped/arrested Nigerian development/ transformation into a modern society. It has become dysfunctional structural impediment to our collective development/transformation. Can you imagine, tribal/religious/regional election time politics as the major component in infrastructural development master plan of a country for decades, and you wonder why most Nigerians are wasting away in libya or underneath the Mediterranean sea. |

The problem with most of us is we don't reason beyond four corner of our sitting room. If u have travel by rail from Abuja to Kaduna you will pray they complete the Lagos Ibadan railway. Most of us pack our car at Kaduna station take train to Abuja to do business and return by last train 6:00pm to sleep Kaduna his a wonderful experience 5 Likes 1 Share |

weyreypey: The rail being used depends on the purpose for the transportation. You can't used a light rail for huluaging, the last time I check, Australia, South Korea, France USA still use this type of rail a lot 1 Like |

@AUTOReportNG, you are part of the reason why politicians wld never take their jobs seriously nor the people who they represent! It is only in Africa you see citizens praise politicians for doing what they ought to do as representatives of the people. Every little thing politicians are praised unnecessarily. Even when they do nothing, praises are heaped on them. Why wld a European/American praise his/her politician for fixing or constructing roads; they won't because that is the least expected of them in the various offices they occupy Nigerians make una get sense my people!! |

weyreypey: Questions like this does not in anyway push a nation forward! He cancelled so Bleep what!!! He is not atoning shit so Bleep what !! If he gets this done and people get employed and it ease transportation then Good for Nigerians! If his service is no more needed we will still kick him out but throwing attoning bullshit up and down does not make life easier it’s like saying sorry for every wrong we have done’ I am yet to know anyone who can boldly say someone saying sorry for his past misdeed has actually propelled him forward in life. The truth is every critic on here has an uncle Aunty father mother brother sisters who has at some point in time stolen public money either as a director contractor ordinary civil servants etc. We all can do simple maths a civil servant with no business buying 100’s of million houses, sending 3-4kids over seas for studies etc on Xmas and salah some people on here would still go eat ram and chicken in their house and merry yet they are yet to atone for their sin or even Repent. Obj is a thief GeJ clueless theif PMB is myopic a dullard and definitely not a saint NASS a Den of thieves But wait o when will we take Responsibility for voting them in ? For campaigning for them? Or take responsibility for not joining hands as one pdp youth APC sdp etc and call our representatives home to explain why they earn so much or even explain how they come about the supposed representation they front in Abuja? Nigerians just enjoy throwing blames and making analysis we have never ever for once accept our role in this Democrazy!!! PMB should ensure the Rail is done and working e can kiss atoning what ever he did in the past ... Who atoning help 1 Like 1 Share |

weyreypey: Lol you don’t get it. GEJ was not gonna spend his personal money! PMB is not spending his personal money either! Am not even giving credit to PMB cos it’s his job to make sure projects like this are done and executed it’s not like he is doing Nigerians a favour. My arguement is instead of asking him to atone for cancelling something years back’ we should be more focused on positive criticism’ If He PMP finishes the Project which was started by GEJ - good for me as a Nigerian( I’d probably use it . It will probably ease transportation also ) As for who gets credit you can give it to who ever rocks your Boat 2 Likes 1 Share |

Lagos-Ibadan is meant to be standard gauge, the 'locomotive track' maybe for the track laying machine. For those who do not know about the track some education is neccesary.... .......The Lagos-Ibadan rail project, which has been awarded to China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), and jointly funded by Nigeria and China, is the first phase of a new Lagos-Kano standard gauge line. The old rail line stretched over 1,124 kilometres....... ....The entire Lagos-Kano stretch was first awarded in 2006 to the CCECC by President Olusegun Obasanjo administration for $8.3 billion. The project suffered a setback when the administration of President Umaru Yar’Adua, which succeeded Obasanjo’s in May 2007, said the contract was illegal, having not been presented to the National Assembly for ratification. It was, however, re-awarded in 2012 by the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan for execution in six phases starting with the Lagos-Ibadan stretch.... www.financialnigeria.com/execution-of-1-5-billion-lagos-ibadan-rail-project-commences-april-14-news-1239.html |
