Jarus: My worries too. Is etebo creative enough to play a number 8 role? I would have been more comfortable with him on the wings. But thatll be too much risk. There's little evidence he can function effectively as a wing back |

Jarus: Iheanacho is a trained Striker who can also play as a supporting Striker. Musa started his Career as a Striker. He played as a Striker for CSKA Moscow during his loan Spell last Season - hence we ain't playing with non-natural Strikers. 6 Likes |

darkelf: Etebo plays like Modric, track ball, bomb forward, shoot, dribble, track back again. If he can't play as the link between attack and defence, which other person in the team can? |

TheSuperNerd: U say u are not being harsh but u are calling the player poor. That is not fair because the player was not poor. U are not the only one who thinks Nacho is a great player but let us put the interest of the nation before anything else. Everyone else is saying we need 2 strikers so why are u so hell bent on benching Ighalo for Iheanacho when we are talking about starting both? 3 Likes |

Oasis007:Are you sure? Because Musa with this set up could attack from the left wing or aid Idowu double team on that side while Iheanacho could do same with Moses on the right. If they don't do this, we will be playing with no movement on the wings because the wing backs will be crowded out by Island. This is why it looks to me like 2 false 9s. You get the picture? 1 Like |

I thought when Nacho was called poor against South Africa it was okay naa wasn't it? So why can't I also term Ighalo's poor. Like I said, this is not being harsh. It is about the better player. I am not hell bent on just benching Ighalo for Nacho maybe because I prefer Nacho. Nope. I already said I will only manage him better in a two striker set-up. But again, I make the point that Nacho being our most lethal forward must start ahead of Ighalo if Simy's height is brought into the equation. Ighalo is way too less potent for the SE. His GWG stats show it. So this is not about Nacho but rather for the best of this team. We need our best. Remember I also said even if Ighalo starts today, I will root for him to score because all I bloody want is the team to win. I won't and will never wish he fails to deliver just to prove a point on why he must be benched even in a lone striker set-up. I want a win and this is why I speak on the better option. I speak in the best interest of the team. Nacho is simply better upfront. Can we play both Nacho and Ighalo upfront? Yes we can depending on the opposition. But the problem still lies with Ighalo's ineffectiveness in front of goal for us. For Iceland, I hope for the very best. Simy may even be needed at some point, just in case. BascoVanVeli: 3 Likes |

Actually I did not want to intrude on your Rated best arguement but Ghana sef was rated higher than Egypt during the end of that period. Or can you give us the name of 2 people in that Egypt squad of that period that more than 3 people on this thread will recognize without a google search ?? |
