We produce a lot of fast paced players to think of working with a slow center forward. I also hope Rohr maintains using fast mobile forwards.

Either way, Congratulations to the young men and all Nigerians.

I won't lie, I had some doubts about Musa starting today cus we all know him to be a bit wasteful in front of goal, but aside Iheanacho and maybe Moses, I can't think of any other attacker of ours who would have controlled that ball.. that was some world class stuff... His second goal was even better....so much pace, power and boldness.. mehn,I was impressed... He could have had a hat trick if not for the woodwork...
Ighalo just messed up our chance of scoring three... I don't want to see him in the team again... Simmy should come in the second half...

Vrsaljko and Rebic will not play against Iceland

In news that's unlikely to please the
Argentina squad or their supporters, Croatia coach, Zlatko Dalic, has announced that now qualification for the World Cup Round of 16 has been secured, he will make significant changes to the starting lineup to face Iceland.
Croatia lead Group D with two wins in two matches after beating Nigeria (2-0) and Argentina (3-0).
"There will be changes in the eleven," Dalic confirmed.
Forgiveness "Those who have yellow cards (Rakitic, Rebic, Mandzukic and Vrsaljko) will not play.
"I would like to be the first in the group, but we have to take care of ourselves."
Brozovic is also suspended for the final group game.

See Croatia, what is the meaning of this now. Let me call FIFA
The Croatian coach Dalic is one smart cookie. I over heard the commentator before Cro vs Arg say that the Croats played Nigeria in the 2nd half like they were conserving energy for the Argentina game.
After 90mins against Arg, it turned out he was spot on.
I see him taking over a decent club in the near future just like Niko Kovac did after managing Croatia at the last world cup. He's Bayern Munich's manager now.

I still believe we have a sleeping weapon in Victor Moses and if he had the opportunity to play the same role Musa had, he would have been impressive. I hope Moses get the chance soon to show what he can do as an attacker.

Either way, Musa was prolific and deserves the accolades he gets.

When you think of the amount of players with similar attributes like Onyekuru, Chukwueze, Success, you can see in a set-up that promotes these kind of players, we can have a formidable team.

Am I the only one who noticed an act of jealousy being displayed by Ighalo today against Iceland?

In the first scenario, which was just immediately Musa scored the second goal, Ighalo swiftly beckoned on Rohr to let him in apparently so as to prove himself as a better option.

Secondly, Ighalo had an option to drop a flick pass to Musa who was goal bound but deliberately held on to the ball until Iwobi appeared before releasing the ball to Iwobi who eventually fired a short only to hit an Icelandic defender.

I want to believe the coach will see all of these and talk to this players before our game against Argentina.

I wish we went with Kayode but all the same I hope he finds his scoring boot though from the bench. But dude he should dropped from the team after this world cup for more deserving players. It's really funny that he dorns the number 9 shirt grin

I also found Ighalo telling Rohr to let him in and the coach responding to his demand disturbing. Especially, expecting us to switch to a one man upfront formation to defend the lead.

Absolutely! I'll rather prefer starting with a false nine to starting any game with Ighalo.

It came to a time during the match when we recorded 60%possession with 83% pass completion.

The thing sweet my Belle no be small. The last time I had such moment watching the SEs was in that friendly against Argentina.

Today, we could have easily score more but no thanks to some bit of selfishness

Apart from winning, another major luck we had today was that penalty miss.

If Sigurdsson had scored that penalty, we'll probably have bade the world cup goodbye. I'm very convinced we wouldn't have been able to cope with the resurgent pressure.

U guys have started again oo. Plz kill any idea of playing Moses up front. We dont need unnecessary dribbles neither do we need anybody falling flat on the floor with the slightest touch thereby killing our sweet counters biko.

We seem to have found solution to our lack of scoring abilities, and here u are advising us to create such problem for ourselves again? Mbanu. If he isn't satisfied with the WB role, he should improve his game or sit on the bench

My guy na pain we dey inside here ooo thanks to SE. But we gallant sha. How you dey. Long time

Me been good blad. Just been busy with lot of stuffs lately, hence my absence all these while.

The pain wasn't funny, and it wasn't down to the loss, it was the manner at which we lost playing as if there was nothing at stake.

Our loss against Athletico De Madrid was celebrated because we played beautifully that day.

And for today's game, it's begins to make me wonder, is there a switch that is flipped on or off to affect the player's performance? I don't really understand.

Rohr, finally decided to yield to change, and he gets result, who in his right mind would fault him?

This is the super eagle team I had stick out my neck for, not the ones I saw against Croatia.

This Special Moment: Super Eagles in Flight, Roars.

Record-Maker Uzoho and Dean of Defence, Balogun reacts in Roars after the penalty miss by Sigurdsson.

Uzoho have definitely earned overtime, the respect of his men at the back. He is the youngest of them all but he is commanding between the sticks and emanates a great sense of calm and beautiful composure.

This is "The Team". This is the Power of Naija... This is the One and Only Super Eagles.

Special attention should be paid to the refereeing crew for Tuesday’s match. Because Argentina and Messi are darlings of FIFA, there may be some shenanigans going on to ensure that Argentina get the result they need.

It’s now time for Rohr and Mikel to play mind games. Both could say something along the lines of “the match needs a strong referee to officiate such a high profile match...” That would put the referee under pressure to need bend to any silly antics of Argentina and her fans.

Did you like the rubbish you saw during the friendlies and the Croatia game?

We've been watching and it's visible for all to see what works, Rohr repeating same mistake over and over again is sure gonna break our hearts.

He made changes and we got result, that's to be celebrated.

Musa broke the NPFL highest goal record as a striker. He was converted to a winger in VVV Venlo though he played as a striker sometimes.
Was referring exclusively to CSKA. He started as a winger for them and I've personally seen him play that position for them on several occasions.

Ebuehi combined well with simple passes. I expected more from him though.

He was very good. Confident on the ball and even took on his defender at least once forcing a corner. Apart from the penalty, i thought he was outstanding.

The first thing to know when you go up against Lionel Messi is don't make him angry. You are not going to kick him out of the game so just play tough and fair. I feel if you don't come out fired up for this type of match then you don't deserve to wear the shirt.

Congratulations to the boys for the win.

We cannot allow this win to get to our heads. I hope Rohr was able to calm down intense emotions that ensued after the victory and focus the boys on their next objective.

Iceland has melted.

Argentina must now fall.

abeg rest joor. ..
still remember...you watery analysis that rohr should not play a 3 man defense...now you want him to change the team to accommodate Joel obi so as to gift the Argentina team penalties and free kicks...

idowu should be played there instead should incase omeruo be dropped.....
and as for Joel and onazi...that bench is their new found home.....just praying Ighalo join them also...
don't always wanna see him on the pitch....
