By the way Rohr is still an average Coach. If at all he's gonna be retained by NFF, I suggest he goes for advanced coaching Courses after the Mundial.

Rohr simply danced to the Nigerian Media, Pundits and Fans tunes. He played the Formation, perhaps, to vindicate himself just in case we lost the Match.

I ain't gonna be sold yet on him, until he finally proves beyond reasonable doubt that he's up for the Tasks. Everyone expected Victory immediately we saw the Lineup, coz we believe it's all Eagles need to soar higher against any Opponent.

Prior to the World Cup, it was Evident during the Friendlies that 3 - 5 - 2 is the best Formation for the Team, however Rohr thought otherwise until he failed.

Idowu ain't needed in the Team in a 3 - 5 - 2 Formation, Ebuehi is better. Also I hope Iwobi is played instead of Etebo. Yes..... Etebo is workaholic and full of Energy, but we need creativity in the Final third.

If we wanna see the best of Nacho, then we gonna need Iwobi in the Team. Nacho was running into spaces but Etebo ain't creative enough to sight his Movements and the do the needful.

I need to commend the Trio of Balogun, Ekong and Omeruo - they were outstanding and dealt with Aerial Threats excellently. Also Uzoho is beginning to prove himself as the right Choice for Eagles No. 1.

Argies lack in Midfield and Defence. They are only good on the Wings and Attack. If we can control the Midfield, we gonna win the Match!

#EaglesMustSoarAgainstArgies

We have to give him credit still.

He was the one that made us know 3-5-2 could work for us by testing it in friendly. Otherwise, we may not have thought we can play with such formation which is alien to our traditional style.

Iwobi doesn't have the lungs to run, tackle, track and mark for even 70 mins. He will leave lots of spaces that will be exploited. We need Etebo against Argentina to mark Messi, along with Ndidi and Mikel... Àbí you nor see wety Iceland do am.

We do not have enough creativity in midfield to overrun Argentina just like Croatia.

Leave the midfield as e de, na beg I de beg u.

Last night i slept well like a Baby...

No matter how much i claim to be disinterested in Nigerian matches..., no matter how much I want to detach myself from Super Eagles matches, it doesn't work...

Whenever we lose i sleep with a heavy heart and I will have terrible nightmares all through especially when we lose without fighting

Thank you Super Eagles for making me sleep well last night

GOD BLESS THE SUPER EAGLES
GOD BLESS NFF
GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

THANK YOU.. THANK YOU!!... THANK YOU!!! kiss kiss kiss

Same Joel that we saw in friendlies?
Oga, forget Joel for an unfamiliar position o. WB of all positions. That's a recipe for disaster.

Just rewatched the second half and Nigeria was flying.. Outstanding performance against a very good Iceland team, absolutely dominated the second half.

The difference offensively was iheancho and Musa running into channels. In the friendlies, our lone striker tended to stay in the middle, making it easier for the defenders to mark him out. Musa and Iheanacho were pulling the defenders all over the place.

Leon Balogun is such an intelligent player by the way. The way he picks passes from the defence line. Omeruo was outstanding, involved in both goals. This is the Omeruo of 2014.

If we play like we started this second half against Argentina, We will definitely score, i believe. A win or a draw should be enough. Come on Nigeria!!!
Playing twin strikers is the way to go.

Moses should remain were he is Oga Joe. He performed excellently. Infact that should be his role going forward. He played there a whole season.

We do not have enough natural wingers in the team, ala Simon injured. 352 everyday. Moses and ebuehi wingbacks, our defense and midfield is settled. Just need another clinical striker to pair Musa, nacho or simi but not ighalo. Thanks

Which clinical striker una just like to dey talk too much

Oga Ahmed musa and nacho will remain there ,you Na just like make dem dey change player which 1 b simy again ?

I won't lie, I had some doubts about Musa starting today cus we all know him to be a bit wasteful in front of goal, but aside Iheanacho and maybe Moses, I can't think of any other attacker of ours who would have controlled that ball.. that was some world class stuff... His second goal was even better....so much pace, power and boldness.. mehn,I was impressed... He could have had a hat trick if not for the woodwork...
Ighalo just messed up our chance of scoring three... I don't want to see him in the team again... Simmy should come in the second half...

Ighalo will control that ball but he will never score that goal, ighalo might not even position there to meet that cross,he will be too forward

U guys have started again oo. Plz kill any idea of playing Moses up front. We dont need unnecessary dribbles neither do we need anybody falling flat on the floor with the slightest touch thereby killing our sweet counters biko.

We seem to have found solution to our lack of scoring abilities, and here u are advising us to create such problem for ourselves again? Mbanu. If he isn't satisfied with the WB role, he should improve his game or sit on the bench

Exactly. Moses could have fallen for the challenge that started that second goal.

I put musa first before nacho,he is not clinical than nacho but I know why I put him first, that guy pace no be here.

Nacho doesn't make such runs and score that type of second goal, even cr7 goals doesn't come such way.

I am just making an example

You know when I saw that initial line up that had Ighalo and Simi up front, my heart sank! That combo was just like eating bread with Yam. angry

We needed fluidity, creativity and pace upfront. Musa-Iheanacho combo did just that.

Since long ago, i have stated that Rohr should find a new role for Musa as a striker or supporting striker. His returns from the wings have been very poor. His pace as evident from the second goal is an attribute we really need to exploit.

Musa, on the day he switches on can be very diverstating.
Musa, always scoring braces. 4 braces for Nigeria, 2 for Leicester city and a lot more for CSKA Moscow.

your stat is flawed bro. Never have we played 3-5-2 for 90mins except today. Here it is

ARG 0 - 3 NIG (45mins)

ENG 0 - 1 NIG (45)

CZK 0 - 0 NIG (45)

NIG 2 - 0 ISL (90)

We've played a total of 225 mins with 3-5-2 scoring 6 and conceding zero in the process. We now average 1.2goals in 45 minutes. Very solid Stat this formation got

I guess you are the only one who don't know that we started Shehu and Aina as wing backs against Argentina right?..... Before Idowu and Ebuehi replaced them in the second half

Even right on here when the team list was released, it came with a 3-5-2 formation

Secondly we started Czechs match with a 3-5-2 formation

not poor. Iceland didn't come out to play. They packed the bus. What were you expecting? It was after we scored the first goal that the game opened up. They were out for an equalizer but were punished for that. First half possession even stood at 61% to 39%. We only didn't record a shot on target
We were not poor you say?

#We had no shot on target

#we kept conceding corner kicks and freekicks which put the whole defense to a lot of pressure.

#The ball possession actually ended 53-47 at half time.

#Most of our crosses were useless and wasted due to no connection.

# We struggled to make decent crosses.

Seriously the way the foreign media are reporting our victory against iceland is really annoying.
You see headings like.

AGERNTINA GETS LIFELINE.

MESSI TO HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE.

When I watched SKYSPORT news this morning I was so pissed with the reportage, instead of giving credit to our boys for the win they are making it all about MESSI and Argentina.

Well, by God's grace they will be disappointed on Tuesday.

When i see some people still criticizing Victor Moses after yesterday's performance, i feel sad. Wat do u really want from dis guy? Dis guy worked his socks off to give a breathtaking performance yesterday at d right flank. Maybe pple here thinks he is an alien and should be flying on the pitch. Do u think it is easy playing a double man's role as a wingback? He even hard an assist and almost had a goal. It's high time pple realise he is human too. Assuming he gave away dat penalty from his side d way Ebuehi did, am sure pple would have called for his head. But no one talked about Ebuehi. Is it because of colour? Ok i want those criticizing Moses to go and watch our first match again. That Penalty Ekong gave away, Moses and Mikel where in the 18yard box doing markings. This guys are working their socks off for 9ja. But it seems we only remember who scores. Apart from Musa yesterday, Moses was my man of the match!!

God bless you my broda for this.

Nigeria has many set of confuse people and there are many of them on this thread, some go see red call am blue, all of them get 2 mouth.

You no lie,if na Moses cause that penalty or ighalo or echiejile dem go call for their head

Yesterday was drama filled especially with the Brazil vs Costa Rica game. Men shivers ran through my body with the fear of Brazil leaving in the first round. Remaining for Neymar to faint. His emotional break down at the end of the game was epical.

I can now laugh at the fear that ran through the hearts of millions of Brazilians during that classic encounter.

I hope Rohr does not make the kind of changes he made when we went 2 goals up. Those kind of substitutions could lead to a disaster and us throwing away the lead. He could have brought in more defensive players like Ogu to help secure the goals than exposing us. The worst was Etebo for Iwobi. It should have been Musa for Ogu.
