semid4lyfe: Very brilliant Contribution and a follow up to the very smart suggestion of Mujtahida who feels it is time we have a footballing identity. I opposed skills being our strength and wanted to point out after yesterday's game where our strength lies. If you look at what Ndidi did last season for Leicester and what Etebo is doing in this World Cup, you will see when it comes to hardwork and stamina our players can rule the World. If you watch closely the way we played, you will see that when it comes to playing with speed, intensity and stamina, we can go against the best in the World. With the likes of Ebuehi, Nacho, Musa, Moses, Idowu, Ndidi, Etebo, Omeruo, Onazi, Shehu etc. You will see we produce players with Speed and stamina in large numbers. Others who are not here like Kayode, Chidiebere Nwakali, Chukwueze, Onyekuru, Isaac Success, Duru Ebube, Ikouwem, Ebere Eze, Samuel Kalu and a host of others. Even our technical players like Ogu, Mikel Obi, Kelechi Nwakali may not play with speed and intensity but they have insane stamina. So the 3-5-2 formation and a pressing system like Bielsa's Chilean team or Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool will bring out the best in the Super Eagles. Setting up and advising academies to adopt this model will go a long way in making us generate more quality players of the future. Also the drill routines Ndukka Ugade put Ndidi through while growing up should also be a part of it. Keep in mind the drills Siasia used to carry out his first screening session for the Super Eagles when he handled the team was also a stamina drill. 2 Likes |

Clementoke: Nigeria's victory over Iceland has simply put back Argentina's destiny into their hands. Although they may still need a favor from Croatia. That is just the pure fact. 1 Like |

Martz101: I do not believe I know more than Rohr. You can make your point without malignant response. Musa being tired or not was not the response but setting up the team to conserve a two goal lead. Nacho contributes more defensively than Musa. So Musa had to be the one to go out. Not tiredness. Also, John Ogu will bring more stability at the back with Etebo dropping deep to help support the midfield in defending. 4 Likes |

fabyom:The initial word I used Was PLAY. One thing you guys don't know is that seconds count in football. If you don't make the right decision at the right time then forget it. He did well to win the ball but spoiled everything by holding longer. Iwobi was already there asking for the pass. But he waited few more seconds which allowed our opponents to fall back and gets into position and that was the end of a potential goal for us and an assist for him. This he did repeatedly. One was a pass he got at the center circle which he just needed to pass to a running Musa who was trying to get into space as we were 2 against 2. But baba held for so long till he was fouled. That's why we don't score often when he plays. IIghalo is good at holding up play but his timings are bad and so let the team down. Hope you get it Sir. 5 Likes |

Martz101: We got under pressure with the Iceland players pushing for a goal. Taking out one of the work horses of the team in the midfield for Iwobi who contributes less in respect of tracking, marking and Tackling was clearly a wrong option. 1 Like |

chimzyblack: Jeez. Those stats are Super. Makes you understand the work the defensive marshall put in. He got a big task ahead to stop the Argentines. We need to bring in our a game because Aguero, Dybala, Higuain, Messi, Pavon, Banega etc is not beans. But, I believe we are up to the task. 1 Like |

Certitude: Etebo was ahead of mikel, he was the attacking midfielder, he was the 10 yesterday. for Ighalo you guys should watch Nigeria games with clear mind and heart, if ighalo scores you will still jubilate. |

chimzyblack: and Omeruo error almost cost us a goal , he forced Ebuehi to commit foul . MY fear for Omeruo is lack of concentration ... sometimes he can just mess up all his effort with just one error . 1 Like |

Yes he messed up that pass at the centre circle but the one you guys are blaming him for he did the right thing. Iwobi should have been more clinical. Also Iwobi got a ball around the Iceland Area he was suppose to pass to musa or etebo but he delayed until he was dispossessed. Why are you guys not blaming him for that. AIG07: 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: The best form of defense is attack, he needed someone that can holdon to the ball more and not be wasteful when having the ball |

Goke7:Gok man i know if Ighalo start the match instead of Iheanacho and put the same performance of Nacho he will still be blamed. I remember how Ahmed Musa was rated here and some even called him federal character player but what happened yesterday a blissful performance. Sir,against Iceland Ighalo with few minutes was not woeful,he had a good game cos Iceland defenders were on their toes. Pls go and watch the match again may be you get it better 4 Likes |
