Certitude: I also think Ideye offers more to the team than Ighalo but I hope we stick to pacy attackers. |

Martz101: At that time, an offensive change is a wrong call. Securing the lead was the right option and the changes did not show that. Gerrit? |

TheGoodJoe: Is it Nwakali? I don't think he is among the top 5 of players similar in attributes to those players. He down the pecking order. 1 Like |

Jarus: Its a lie bro. Before Rohr played that formation, some guys suggested it here and it sounded queer to many until Rohr tried it out against Argentina. This is not to say that it was the suggestion here that made him try it out but some people saw it before others. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:44am On Jun 23, 2018 |
forgiveness: I want the best in every role and not a particular player. So I wonder why Nwakali popped up. Also, Kelechi Nwakali might not be as pacy as the likes of Chukwueze and Moses but he has insane stamina and covers a lot of grass. Which also falls in line with what I am pointing out. Chidiebere Nwakali is fast and has insane stamina. I am pointing out that a mixture of pace, intensity and stamina should be a big part of our team selection. |

Icon4s: I paid full attention to yesterday match like myself was on it... When I said they said it was a lie... Actually he is meant to enter but you will see his gesture than he really want to play... He's looking so pressure Knowingfully well his position is at risk and he need to prove the coach right.... |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by forgiveness: 9:46am On Jun 23, 2018 |
TheGoodJoe: We don't know what transpired behind the scene. Rohr could have told him to prepare once we scored the second goal or Rohr must have told him something that gave the liver to remind the coach. Like... Can I go in now? We don't know. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Icon4s(m): 9:49am On Jun 23, 2018 |
soetanoreoluwa: Yeah, but on a second thought, I think Rohr initially wanted to bring him in and so he was probably asking Rohr if he should still pull off and go in. But I noticed he wasn't showing any emotions towards the goal just being scored at that time. He was more after his coming in. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: I asked because I was not sure. I thought it is Chidi Nwakali. Sorry. If it the Villareal B lad, I think he is similar but down the pecking order for now. He should be allowed to prove himself in a decent league. That's all. 1 Like |

Martz101: You should note from now that the same shape but change in personnel affects the playing pattern of a team. Iheanancho contributes more defensively than Ighalo. So pulling Nacho for Ighalo reduces our defensive contributions even though the shape is the same. Gerrit? |

A back heel from Ighalo to the player that was alone in the 18 could have resulted in a goal but instead he held up play until more opponents arrived then he passed to Iwobi who took on one then take a shot that was blocked. That's how he killed a chance (counter) that would have given us a third goal. Not that holding up play is bad. His style of hold up play would suit a team with great shot takers where he places the ball in the path of the on-rushing shot taker. Unfortunately, we are not good at that. So the best bet is to bring him in when we are sure the match is wrapped up. 6 Likes |

forgiveness: If we allowed to prove in decent league, Uzoho would not be in goal today. It is time we kill that mind set and just keep searching for the best. "When I was in Nigeria, I discovered Daniel Amokachi in Enugu when Ranchers Bees played a league game with Rangers. “I walked up to their bus and told him he will be in my (Super Eagles) team, he said which team and I told him right there in the presence of other players, I’m the national team manager but he said he was just 16 years old and I said it didn’t matter."---Clemence Westerhoff (Super Eagles former Head Coach) |

fabyom:you people should stop yarning dust Please, what are all these good things Ighalo has done? See as you just dey talk like say Ighalo don score six goals this year alone and he just made one mistake yesterday. Please, tell us all the good things Ighalo has done that should make us overlook his errors. I see some saying that there are some players who play badly and excuses are made for them, yes, because we know that they don't play badly normally, so, it is easy to make excuses for them. We cannot say the same for Ighalo Please, give me just five good things Ighalo has done in the past year to exonerate himself from constant blames. 4 Likes |

do4luv14: I dont know that ECN bus-stop but Emma stayed by Chemist Bus-stop along Iganmu road when going to Orile. Just to give you a glimpse of myself if you can remember. Were you in school when Cardoso played that epic game that saw us beat Sari-Iganmu secondary school 2-0 and the game ended in serious blood shed. I played that game alonside Bina Ajuwa who later played for the Super Eagles under Christain Chukwu. 1 Like |

This is not about bashing Ighalo but adopting a system that will favor the team. We are better playing in a mobile attacking system. I do not think Ighalo fits in such a system. Finito. 1 Like |
