God bless you my brother.. This is the difference between dertimnation and lazy person .. A focus person will make use of every opportunity he can to achieve his goals.. Before he knowns it with his good customers skills, he will likely get more offline trips and that will put more money into his pockets.. Unfortunately most uber drivers don't have that mind set..

I guess Hyundai Accent is 1.6 L.

I don't know about maintenance and repairs, but if I am to buy any Hyundai today, My choice would be -

1. Accent
2. Elantra
3. Sonata

The first two are good for business, I guess and the third na leisure. grin

I am on taxify. My requests are ok or even increased.
I guess the many riders have not updated their apps or they don't know yet.
Seems The default request on the previous app is the same as taxify (n320 base fare) on the new app. So it could affect lite that way
Guy u get am. That's what I noticed. I saw the old app on my brothers phone and I found out that the default setting is on taxify instead of taxify and lite. Am finished.

Hello everyone, now that the site is open and everything. I have to say I appreciate everyone's support. My site stats show I'm starting to get lots of traffic flow from Nairaland. And I know it's you GUYS.
Thank you.
We are planning something new and interesting around the beginning of July, and everyone is included this time.
Tiny little hint:
You may want to join our referral program early as I can't say that that is entirely unconnected with the "something new and interesting" we have all lined up.
It's not going to be the great grand uncle of all surprises ... or referral programs for that matter , but one thing is for sure. It's going to be worthwhile, I promise that.
It pays better than Uber's referral program to start with. And it actually works.
You might want to check it out on my site.
It's in the bottom right corner.
Register now and get your own code. You can start using it right away or you can choose to register and wait till "new and interesting" rolls up.
Before I go all off.
I'd just like to say thank you again ... and again.

WHAT'S YOUR RETIREMENT PLAN - DRIVER EDITION

1. One day you will retire. You wouldn't be driving on Uber and Taxify forever. Your cash flow and earnings will also reduce.! So please start making plans towards your retirement today.

2. Always go on annual leave. Your body need to be recharged, renewed and refresh. Please don't drive for a year without taking any break. Sitting behind steering all day chasing bonuses without a lengthy break is a great price to pay for wellbeing. Remember, Car Owners, Taxify and Uber aren't going to restore your health back to optimal. It's your life, your health and your lifestyle. Please take it seriously. Also note that whatever you do during your leave, is what you will be doing when you retire. If all you do is to sleep or watch TV, then that’s what you are likely do do in your retirement.

3. Invest for your retirement... your children are not retirement investment. Don’t bank on your children’s support or the support of friends or relations. That’s a BIG risk. It may not happen. Be ready to take care of yourself!! Everyone has his own responsibilities. They won’t be able to help you that much. You will also lose your dignity and respect if you adopt a life of begging after retirement.

4. Start a hobby early in your driving days to take you along when you retire. Rearing chicken, farming or own a shop. Acquire marketable skills (not Uber experience) Etc. Not that Uber/Taxify Experience is entirely bad, but do you know how to convert such experience to money when you retire. Learn a skill while driving.

5. Where shall you retire. Buy yourself a car or build yourself a home. Don't retire and start to rent a house. You will be at the mercy of your landlord at a time when your cash flow is not only reduced but unpredictable!! Have something that would be putting money in your pocket like you put money in Car Owners pockets every week.

6. Who shall be your dependants. By the time you retire, your children should be above 18, and self reliant. No use your youth and agile body carry olosho. Stop wasting your efforts and sp*rm. grin

7. Don't retire and stay in a big city, unless you can TRULY afford it. You can't continue living in a big city after 60 with limited financial resources. The language and the hustle will be hard for you. Where possible, Relocate to a less expensive town where your reduced take home (pension if any) can go further.

8. Have property which can be rented or converted into cash. Have shares that pay good dividends. Plant cash trees. Rear goats, cultivate vegetables etc. these activities will not only give you income but will also keep you healthy. With the little you earn today, you can start investing in Stock Market for the long term, you can do Treasury Bills or Fixed Deposit with the huge sum sitting in your non-interest yielding account. Ask your banker about fixed deposit rate and currently TB rate. Saving money in a non-interest yielding account is not good for your present and future. Inflation is growing and purchasing power is dropping daily.

9. Live a simple life. You work really hard and sometimes your definition of relaxing makes you a pauper. Instead of spending that bonus on Olosho or in beer parlour, start a contribution, open a new savings account without a debit card or internet banking access. Save the bonus towards getting an asset which would start putting money in your pocket.

10. Take your health seriously. Your health is your wealth. Driving for long hours isn't good for your health, consuming alcohol after sitting behind the steering all day is also dangerous for your health. Please do have a medical checkup once a year. Eat healthy, exercise more, check your weight and body mass like you check your car fluid daily. Early detection is better. Just like your car, your body need care. You insist on using OEM for repairs and maintenance, yet you don't use OEM for your body. Please take your life and health seriously.

Now let go back to work and make money. Weekly Rental Payment is due after the weekend. grin grin grin grin grin

Did you notice the thread about masonry?

Initially they focused on one brand, then they diversified.

Drivers take your earnings from driving and put in some business that doesn't require your personal presence to succeed.

Stop driving for uber only. Join taxify. Cultivate an attitude the brings you offline trips. Make friends and turn those connections to account. Life is what you make of it.

Thank me later.

Well done TheCar.

A lot of drivers don't have that sense to do that.. Most are so busy jumping from one partner to another. In order to succeed in life you need stability.. Most uber drivers or taxify don't have that sense for stability.. The greed in them won't allow that stability to thrive..the smart ones will package themselves, take good care of the owners car, and at the same time build good client base offline trips.. Am sure the smart ones which can be few have package themselves so well ,that most of their income are offline trips.. But they are not jumping from one partner to another like the women of the night.. The smart ones am sure were drivers at one time ,and they were able to build a relationship with their partners and turn that opportunity to manage cars for their partner. It is called progression, but you have to be able to identify that opportunity to able to make the best out of it ...if drivers keep jumping around and continue to do so, they will not progress at all .. You can not work for one place and after six months you quit. And than look for something else again, and than quit after three months again .nobody can successfully be like that. Jumping ship all the time will not help you achieve your goals .. We can agree to disagree

Oga stop doubting. Instead u come let me teach u how I do it. That trip screen shot I posted was suppose to be an offline trip but I told my client I want it done online, so can put it here to prove all d doubting thomases wrong on this thread. If I had done it offline it would have been 15k instead of 10k. From Marina to isolo waited 2hrs and from there to Oshodi waited 1hr back to Marina, I didn’t drive that much. So are u now telling it is not realistic to use 1k fuel to do 15k. Back to work I have a target to meet

Guys it's never possible to do 1k on over 100km. ..

Why would I want to cheat my riders when I know d consequences and penalty involve. Taxify has Zero tolerance for fraud. That’s automatic deactivation and blocking of my account. I don’t belong to #lockitogang. I am very transparent in dealing with riders and working on Taxify platform. Taxify is a blessing to me.
