TheGoodJoe: But at that point when Musa had already dribbled the keeper, he became better placed than Iheanacho but him still dey beg for the ball

Icon4s: It looks so but keep in mind at that point they were both in good scoring positions and two Iceland defenders were facing Musa. It was a good goal but If he missed, he would have faced a backlash because he made the wrong choice. Finito. |

safarigirl: First of all, Enyeama at 19 can't be compared with Uzoho because he had already achieved alot at that age and was obviously better than Uzoho. Enyeama held the record of the youngest Nigerian Gk to keep for Nigeria in the world cup, and the youngest Nigerian Gk not to conceed a goal in the world cup after the goalless draw against England at the age of 19 years, yes. He was just three months older than Uzoho. Fact His phenomenal performance in that match left no doubt he was up for the job and fit the cap to take the mantle of his precedent which standard they have set so high. I mean Enyeama showed the trait of the phenomenal one at his age So, what you have said up there is not correct in regards to Enyeama's age. He was not yet 20 years old when he made his debut against England in the world cup. Fact Although, nobody thought he could pull his weight at a senior worldcup back then but we saw the trait of a phenomenal one without any reservation but that can't be said of Uzoho for now. Unless, he does something spetacular as the world cup goes. Anyway, like I said I hope he improves but until den we must see others to confirm he is better. Afterall, Enyeama was given the chance likewise Uzoho. Unfortunately, the standard his precedent set demands that we don't settle for less and there is no way Nigerians fan will not put that in question when dey don't see the trait of the likes of Enyeama, Peter Rufai, Rigogo, etc. It has become a tradition. I didn't say Uzoho is bad but he has not so far shown that trait of our great goalkeepers. That's my point. Hopefully, he does but before then others must be given the chance to ascertain if they are better or Uzoho is better. It's competition and it's healthy for the SE. |

After watching the development of the team during the two games, I present my preferred formation an set-up to play the Argentines.

Moses and Nacho combination of front will bring a mixture of pace and skills. Both players have good defensive attributes to make the us track back when we lose the ball upfront. Despite Musa's impressive performance against Iceland, I still pick Moses.

TheGoodJoe: Thanks to God it is ur formation not ours. Musa was the best the last this formation was played and u want him dropped just to create a space for Vicmo's unnecessary dribbling and falls up front. We forbid this. E be like u are on a mission wt dis ur Vicmo woteva dis guy Oh I didn't even notice Mikel ahead of Etebo and Ndidi Lol. If Mikel isn't ready to partner Ndidi so that Etebo or Iwobi plays ahead, he should sit. Also if Moses isn't ready to play the wing back role, he should also sit Finito 8 Likes |

Truidstar: For me, he was only poor against Zambia, a game he missed 2 sitters. In subsequent games, I can't fault him for his endeavor or missed chances because he didn't have any. As a matter of fact, after Zambia, the next game he played was Poland (which the team played poverty football) then Serbia where the team looked better when he came on. Then came England where he created the chance which Iwobi profited from after that, Czech and Croatia. Now, if you look at these aforementioned games, Ngr created nothing, which was reflective on stats which read mostly zero shots on target. Infact until the 2nd half of the Iceland game, Ngr haven't created any worthy chance of note in football this year. I stand to be corrected. You can't berate a striker for not creating chances for himself. This is why I call this witch hunt against Ighalo a mass hysteria effect, which have taken a life of its own. |

Icon4s: What Musa did especially in the second goal, I believe without a shred of doubt that Moses can do that better and repeatedly in a deadlier fashion. I was not joking when I said Moses is the ideal replacement for Salah at Liverpool. I trust the young man's ability. Why wait for occasional fire from Musa while Moses packs it in bags. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 12:19pm On Jun 23, 2018 |
TheGoodJoe: I don't know why Iheanacho kept asking for that ball. They had the same 2 people on the line to beat and the ball was already on Musa's right foot. It is not a guarantee that Kelechi would have scored because if Musa had passed they would surely have closed him down. |

TheGoodJoe: Good but did u know before Musa beat the goalkeeper, KC had a defender on him, and after dribbling the goalkeeper, the defender left KC to guide his post putting KC on a good scoring position but unfortunately for him(kc) Musa had already gotten into a better position with the keeper dribbling? in fact Musa was able to deceive both the keeper and defender using Kelechi. If he had passed before dribbling that keeper, we might have missed Dat goal |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 12:23pm On Jun 23, 2018 |
BascoVanVeli: Musa had to stop and picked a tight angle while there was a chunk of space open between the defenders and the keeper for Nacho to finish. Nacho is more electric in the box and a pass would have ended the struggle. However, like I told some people where I watched the match, Musa knew what he was doing. He went for the spectacula and achieved, lucky he did not end with the ordinary. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 12:24pm On Jun 23, 2018 |
BascoVanVeli: It is not a guarantee Musa would have scored but it is always best to get the ball to the player with time and space to score. Rohr needs to iron that out with Musa. I am always for doing things the right way. |

TheGoodJoe: Bros, I know the abilities of both Moses and Musa. They are not Newbies in the national team. But there is something called tournament form. Some players just pick form in a tournament. It may be 1,2 or 3 matches, after which they fall back to default mode. Musa just performed magic, whether he will carry it to the next match or not we don't know. But why not give it that chance? |

Guys, I know we have all noticed the 2 penalties conceded in two games. Messi may have missed the first time but he won't miss a second time, no matter how poor his form. Rohr should speak to our guys. This is becoming a trend. With the advent of the VAR, we need to be extra careful Looking at both penalties, they could have been averted. I don't think the opposition was in a good position to shoot the ball in both instances Also, Uzoho has been doing a fantastic job for his age, but has he been drilled for penalty shoot-outs? 1 Like |
