Mujtahida: My point is so simple that I wonder why it is hard to understand. Next time, passing is the better option. Musa took the harder route of skinning the Goalkeeper instead of passing to Iheanacho. I said good we scored but Rohr should work on Musa to know that passing is the better option in such situations. charlesemeka85: In a more compact midfield, Idowu can cause damage with his forward runs. Ebuehi is more menacing on the right. He offers more on the right than left. The key is the compactness of the middle. Keep in mind in the set up, we have everyone having a good ability to fall back and help the defence. We have the best of both Worlds in the set-up.

Sherwood: Musa’s First Goal Ruined Iceland Plans June 22, 2018 10:27 pm Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood believes Ahmed Musa’s opening goal rattled Iceland in their second Russia 2018 Group D game against Iceland, reports Completesportsnigeria.com. Nigeria beat Iceland 2-0 in Volgograd on Friday. The Leicester City forward made history becoming the first Nigerian player to score in two FIFA World Cups. Musa scored twice against Argentina at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. “Nigeria team was not set out to play at the start just as the Iceland team did not start out playing to win,” former Ireland international Sherwood said on SuperSport TV where he is working as a World Cup pundit. “But the goal from Musa opened up the game which made the Iceland team come out to attack but unfortunately they conceded again which killed them off. “They (Super Eagles) are the most vulnerable team in terms of set piece at this tournamentt but they improved and showed courage.” Nigeria are now second in Group D after their 2-0 win over Iceland with three points from two games. They must avoid defeat last group game against Argentina to seal qualification to the round of 16. https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/sherwood-musas-first-goal-ruined-iceland-plans/ 1 Like |

If you analyze this game closely, Belgium has alot of vulnerabilities. Their defense is bad and their passing is somewhat suspect. 1 Like |

With due respect to everyone here, please what I am about to say should not be taken as a dig at some people but just my tiny observation. Sometimes when we argue, its technically speaking not at the right time....i mean imagine arguing who didn't pass to who? We have a really important and massive game ahead of us and here we are thinking of what could have happened if some things happened the other way...we all clamoured for a win and got a win....."if i took road one and became rich, who cares what road two would have looked like?" The truth about Musa's goals is that his striking instinct worked well,if you watched closely he even had to steal the first of his brace....for the second,Even messi most times finishes his solo runs .....let's just enjoy his courage. Because some times, you must not make the right decision to win games. with this in mind, let's focus our energy on the next game cause this victory would mean nothing if we don't dispatch my beloved Messi and his country men. Thank you! 8 Likes |

Yes Mikel did what he was beat known for in Chelsea. He is a versatile midfielder but has far more experience at the highest level as a DM. So I was not surprised he put up a very decent shift holding the ball well. The truth is we are a counter attacking team, and we can punish Argentina again. But I hope we don’t let them score first this time. Hkana: 1 Like |

Argentina to revert to 4-4-2 against Nigeria. Ajekun Iya. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DBr-wJ4ciE With Omeruo helping prevent Messi's wing run-in, I am quite confident we can overun this argentina team. They will come out and we will punish them on the counter. |

good observation bro. i said it before and will still say it that ebuehi is a steal from the dutch while uzoho will be rohr's biggest discovery in his reign as the team's head coach. it takes a man with a keen eyes for unpolished talent and guts to have so much trust and believe in an untested 19 year old goal keeper for a tournament as huge as the fifa world cup. left for some people here who castigated rohr for dropping ezenwa and not begging enyeama to come out of retirement, they would have settled with either ejide or ayenugba. francis uzoho have improved alot from the first day i saw him debut for deportivo in laliga. his level of confidence has increased so much that he seemed unfazed by the tension and pressure of playing in the biggest stage in world football. with the exposure he has experienced already, thiskid will metamorphose into a top class goalkeeper in no distant time. it still baffles me that some internet coaches in this forum who tend to draft their line up prior to any encounter still deem idowu better than ebuehi. in all ramifications from my close observation ebuehi is miles ahead of idowu and the latter has been the weakest link in the team so far. i still blame rohr for dislodging aina just because of idowu who lacks composure while attacking or defending. he is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode and this can be avoided if he is relegated to the bench for the rest of the world cup matches.i will even risk joel obi in that position than idowu. ebuehi's inclusion in the 2nd half made the left side of the team to be functional and when the team lost possession he tracked back at will and was solidin his tackles. many berates him because he caused an avoidable penalty kick but such have happened to seasoned professionals in the round leather game and will serve as a learning curve for him. benfica got themselves a promising right back who will wow the whole of europe in no distant time omeruo i must confess surprised me with his performance yesterday.to be sincere he was the best central defender on the pitch and played with so much composure and guile. i urge him to use this world cup as a platform to attract suitors from the top leagues in europe if he is not guaranteed a chance in chelsea. with etebo's resurgence i foresee onazi's time in the team to be over soon unless he rediscover his old form.with the emerging talents such as kelechi nwakali, chidiebere nwakali, billing anyanwu, esiti, agbo and the presence of etebo and ndidi, onazi has to work hard to get back to reckoning again. playing in the la liga polished etebo's game and boasted his confidence level. i foresee him becoming a hit in the colors of stoke city. mikel was a colossal figures at the heart of the team's midfield against iceland.it is now obvious that he shoukd be saddled with the responsibility of anchoring the team and detecting play from the deep. he was very effective and his understanding with etobo and ndidi were lovely to behold. from henceforth he should continue in that role till he retires from the team iheanancho's linkup play was second to non in the encounter. he releases the ball very fast and his runs distracted and caused the icelandic defense a lot of troubles. the only thing he needs to work on is his pace and for that to be accomplished he needs to shed some weight because he looks heavy a bit. his combo with musa upfront should be retained TheLoneCitizen: 3 Likes |

I never considered that pk mishap in the first place. Besides combining well with his teammates with simple passes there was nothing outstanding in his wing-back contribution IMO. tbaba1234: |
