Give good reasons for hitting 2.5. And all. And interview dat is far away ooo. Mine is sept 27 for visa appointment and enrollment deadline is oct 1st. But try and don’t gget be up. Coz if u have admission you will just defer to summer and get your visa quick and leave. That’s an advice sha. All d best

Please is it best to say it’s because my degree on a German scale was not up to the bench make of 2.5 to apply for masters program so I had to apply for a second bachelors.i have a first degree in mechanical engineering with scale in German 2.7,I am heading to University of applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt to study business and engineering bachelors program

I don't think only that is enough. Though it can be one of the reasons. I think to put it this way will be better since Nigeria credit points are not always up to 240ECTS in Germany, you can tailor one of the reasons toward that direction and also include the possibility of you transferring credits on some of the courses you have done in Nigeria which will limit your study duration. I repeat, don't wait till when the VO will ask, make sure it is included in your letter. I can not be giving the same point to everyone; which is why you will have to come up with something nice depending on your situation. If I give a "reason" to about 5 people and all of you are giving that same reason at the embassy, it might not be too cool. You just have to work it out in the best way that will suit your application and situation. Shalom

My question is where should I apply for visa? Is it Lagos or Abuja?
Second question- I was filling the visa form online and I could not see an option for conference among the listed visa categories.. Should I select Business Visa? Are conferences under business visa class?
Third question- hope i can pay for insurance using Aiico?
Plz the first and second questions are on my neck now..someone shd kindly put me tru.

I will not say much about what he has done wrong or not done. However, anybody could find himself in such situation in the future. Don't just leave your university without carrying the international department along no matter what has happened. Some schools can even put your study on hold depending on the situation. The very first point of call is to contact the first school with all his details and explained to them. The 2nd step will depend on the response of the school. As for the embassy, he should package the family problem very well and let it lace with sympathy. He should also include it in his motivation letter because the VO might not remember to ask but at the junction of taking decision regarding his application at the Embassy or alien office, his data will surely come out. This is a country where they keep records as if their life depends on it. Shalom

Thanks Honourableseyi for your answer, I will update the house when the issue is resolved. As you advised, my friend will write the second school to explain the situation and present mail that he got from the international office at that time advising him to de-register and see if the will accept his explanation, if the do then he can progress to book interview and see if the VO will also accept the same explanation
