elyte89: I doubt it. Iheanacho played last season with leicester with a fracture in the hand. With a cast, he will be fine. |

goldfish80: What you need to understand the majority of contributors fall into the category of fanatical fans. Seeing things only one sided. Iwobi does not backtrack with any real conviction and when he plays on the wing he lacks discipline and drifts to the middle. So his wing play is very suspect. The question ❓ we fail to answer what did the combination of KC and Musa produce. What I saw was KC buzzing around but not sure what level of end product and or indeed what major impact on the game he was having. Pressing he pressed but didnt really threaten the CB'S of Iceland in that game. Didn't see any aerial or physical threat from him as well. What I did notice was far more combination play with Musa and Ighalo and a greater impact on the game with his hold up play and goal threat. 1 Like 1 Share |

Two goalkeeping errors have made Senegal concede twice. Too bad |

Kog45: No sir, he was called upon for left back option not right back. He was never called for right back and was rarely used on the right side. Its an open secret na. How come you didnt know he was called for the LB? |

tbaba1234:The caveat is that Croatia may rest about 5-6 of their regulars, recall they have sent Kalinic home, so they are already a player short . A highly motivated Iceland might fancy their chances against the Croatian second string. I think that's the reason Mikel obi complained. |

I wonder why Cisse abandoned the system that dismantled Poland in their opening match. This one too is good but the polish one gave a more purposeful showing |

komekn:What they lack in combination, they might make up with the chaos factor their running and movement might bring. Although I have the feeling Rohr might want to pull of a surprise by starting Simy Nwankwo. The ball needs to stick in the Argentine final 3rd for our defenders to have a breather because I suspect they will be very busy. 1 Like |

krattoss: If u want to analyse it, start from where the ball was lost through the the time it hit the back of the net. Left to me, I wouldn't sub in Cheik Ndoye for Badou. Those two always concede possession and their marking, so poor. I would rather sub out badou for Kouyate, to give alfred and Kouyate the chance to correct things. |

fabyom:TRASH Who is clamoirong for Iheanacho? The problem with you people is that you always assume that because we don't want a certain player, it automatically means we want Iheanacho. Did I not say this morning that we should play Musa and Iwobi? Can you make an opinion without bringing in your nonsense pettiness? We are clamouring for anybody but Ighalo, because Ighalo brings bad luck to the WHOLE team. Nobody cares about chances that never get into the net. The same Ighalo that has offered nothing to the national team in almost a year, is who you people are shamelessly clamourong for. Emphasis on SHAMELESSLY, because, if you have small shame, you will not mention Ighalo here. The last time Ighalo scored for us is last year August. In many other countries, a forward with such an abysmal record would not even be at the World Cup, but here we are managing Ighalo and you are still yarning rubbish about aerial threat and hold up play. May God deliver you people from the spirit of losing, because it is only someone who likes losing thay will still be mentioning Ighalo to start for us at this point. I once said here that Ighalo is a good player, his only problem is that he is unlucky. You think football is solely about talent and technique, it is NOT. That is why Ighalo must be on that bench, whether it is for Kelechi or Musa or Iwobi. No go Twitter yarn this kain trash before dem use swear destroy your destiny. It is only on Nairaland that you can mention Ighalo like this, even at that, only on this thread. Don't mention that name in the presence of football-loving Nigerians who want to win 3 Likes |

Humility017: Lol. I dunno but from the way the bench scene was during the match, I can say Ighalo does have knowledge of the game the way Rohr wants it, but his outputvis crappy. I could see Ighalo begging to be brought on after Musa scored the second goal... Like seriously? Me I wish Simy takes top spot against Argentina. But that game is the beginning of the real impact of Winfred Ndidi till we leave Russia. He must be his top form. Iwobi should start from Centre to me. I'd prefer a Moses come on second half when running must have weakened the Argies defence. |

Our performance which was impressive has to do with our mobility. We need to stick with our most mobile set-up which includes Nacho and Musa. Iwobi, Simy and Ighalo do not fit into that set-up. I say with stick to our winning system. 2 Likes

Mobility is the way forward. That is why players like Sane, Mane, Salah, Sterling, Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Neymar, Firmino, Dembele, Mbappe, Draxler etc are the toasts of top clubs. We are deadlier with mobility. Finito. |
