You see it as negativity. But I’m just trying to prepare your minds. If the opposite happens, trust me I would even be happier than most you.

Sir calm down. Don’t let it scare you. Life will go on and hopefully we would come stronger.

See, let me tell you, I know that Argentina are favorite to win that game. But I try not to dwell on that. I look at the positives.

This is not my first WC so I am not even scared of a group exit. I just want to have a positive mindset.

The way you are sounding it is as if you actually wish Argentina should win so you can come here and say "I told you". You are free to condition your mind for a defeat. But some of us here have conditioned our mind that we will make it to the next round.
But if we do not make it, so? Then you can come around with your "I told you, I told you" and receive your medal for it.

No I won’t gain anything from that. I have already had my say pages back before the post in question. I’m concerned for Senegal as well.

Well its obvious i spend more time on the Argentine forum than ours these days

Oh well... These kinds of discussions are what I amuse myself with for some days now grin
We don't seem different either.
We are tactically supportive to Our Super Eagles too.
I pray our players aren't complacent over their Iceland triumph.
We surely can do this.
A draw should scale us through.

Of course it’s good to have a positive mindset. I’m positive and hopeful all the same, although I may sound negative, wishing the team bad. I understand u very well. However what will happen will happen.

I promise I won’t say a word about it when the time comes, and we will still move on together as a family

Sam Tighe is mad Musa, Etebo and Omeruo should be in this team

Kane's goals were two tap-ins while Musa's were two breath taken goals yet this buffoon chose Kane ahead of Musa? The third goal the media are trying hard to credit to Kane was that kind of goal Kelechi scored off the shot of Yaya Tuore that was later given to Yaya after some studies. Kane was just running across and a shot scrape his hill into the post. He didn't even know what happened. That goal was clearly not his. If Kane had taken that shot and it deflected into the net through another player like, they would still have given Kane the goal. That goal should be given to Dat guy Dat took Dat shot.

Kane didn't score any spectacular goal against a weak panama team, neither did he, any hattrick. The English media is bunch of jokes

lol...only thing I noticed is that Sam Tighe seems to love Keylor Navas

Twice he has fielded him as the goalie in his team of the week even though Costa Rica lost their two games in two rounds

Sam Tighe is obviously sentimental and has some level of emotive bias with his picks cheesy

I would really love the super eagles to qualify. But let's call a spade what it is. Argentina knows what is at stake. You think they would let the eagles beat them? Even Fifa would prefer Argentina going through instead of Nigeria and different tactics would be employed to ensure the eagles lose. The super eagles are coming home.

The above are the words of a fan from another thread. How true are these words?

We will surely find out come Tuesday June 26 2018

Didn't watch Costa Rica's first game but Navas was amazing against the Brazilian's, he deserves a nod, especially in a tournament which seems to have had keepers below par

I have been balanced by stating why he was included in the initial squad and why he didn't make the cut. it was between him, idowu and Echiejile and never were we in need of a RB after Ebuehi was called up to deputise Shehu.

After this worldcup, i would prefer Joel Obi dropped, Shehu moved to the middle (DM), Aina brought in to share the space with Ebuehi.

Idowu should be dropped, doesn't look like a good LB to me, there are better/natural LBs in the Nigerian league that can play that role. Echiejile is surely dropping out of the squad after the WC.

Even Onazi should be leaving...
Joebie:
Let’s be balanced. He may have been called because of our problems at LB. But that doesn’t stop him from putting in a fight in other roles. Personally, I would say timing did not favor him.

While Ighalo maybe off form, I still think he's our best allround striker. Iheanacho and Simi are not better lone strikers.. this is a fact. We are yet to try Ighalo in a 2 man striking role so him getting dissed the way he has is just crazy.
I personally think he'd be a better foil for Musa than Iheanacho. Yes Iheanacho is the better finisher and can give you a nice final pass once in a while, but he can't hold play up in the slightest.
People need to lay off Ighalo. He just like Joel Obi are off form at the wrong moment.

this is false

He has been tried in a 2-man striking role and played alongside Iheanacho.

All round striker that can't drop deep, charge defense?
We don't need a lone striker, but mobile versatile one.
One with agility.Something Ighalo lacks.
He has built up some fat.His tummy is protruding.
Fat isn't good for agility.

It still surprises me how Rohr let in some fat players (Onazi included) without insisting they get fit first.

In a serious tournament like the WC. Not a Sumo contest in Japan

I find it very difficult to believe.

That's why I'm still not sold on Rohr yet.

I blame the players not the coach because truth is,it is all about them at the end of the day. They have to work out.
What do they think Ronaldo fit at his age and agile, they really need to burn those fats if they want to stay longer in the game.

It's not that difficult. I say the Eagles go for the win. We may even be able to afford a tie. But a loss is totally unacceptable. They just have to show up on Tuesday serious, ready for business and play calm, collected football.

Ighalo spends more time at the back of or running to the back defenders than in doing all that. He makes the team look and play like they were a man down.
