IMPORTATION: What Is Happening To All The Frieght Forwarders In Lagos? by flexydote(m): 8:49am On Jun 25, 2018
I Am writing this because I no longer understand what the problem is.

For over 3 weeks now my parcel have not gotten to me.
I use a good shipping agent but recently they have not been telling me what the real problem is.

Normally, after the parcel gets to Lagos it will take them 24hrs to notify all their customers to come get their goods.

After contacting them countless times through calls as I normally do because I don't reside in Lagos, they initially told me Nigerian Customs went on strike and no goods in the port was cleared due to this. After a week later I called and they told me the issue have been resolved.

Now if the issue have been resolved why have I not gotten my parcel till now I asked, they only tell me that they will check and get back to me. This have been on for 2 weeks now, this is the third week now and I am not finding it funny plus I'm loosing customers daily.

Since I started mini importation in 2015 I have never experienced a situation.

Other Importers in the house, are you experiencing same issue?

I've been waiting delivery too. Its never taken this long. My thoughts are, if they have soughted things with customs why delay in contacting the owners of the goods. I just feel they are not telling me the whole truth

The situation due occur ones in a while. You need to be patient. Sometimes, the shipper might not be able to do anything but hope.

There was actually an issue with custom due to unpaid salary and they went on strike. But it has been resolved and they are fully back to operation. Nevertheless, your freight forwarder Shud be able to contact his customers for clearance.
As all my customers have recently received their parcels. Get in touch with your forwarder again. It Shud get thru to u this week
