It is getting dark in this country and it is hard to know where to step. Looking at this act of killings that resulted in loosing close to 100 lives of innocent Nigerians by some evil minded herdsmen, one would realize that the country is in state of calamity. If the country is in the state anomie, then the lives and properties of the citizen is at threat.

It has become a trend in the country for killings to increase when elections are around the corner. It is obvious that these killings are political motivated and organized to frustrate and render void the incumbent government by some political dirty players. It would be recalled, just recently the arrest of former Benue State governor Gabriel Suswan who was alleged for sponsoring of bandits as well as harming them with sophisticated weapons. This is not peculiar to Benue alone, as the case is also the same in some other states where the killings are happening in the country.

The senseless attacks by the herdsmen on people are utterly and totally condemnable as there are secret forces with sinister, menacing and ominous agendas to destroy, divide and instigate war in the country for their selfish purposes.

Though it is glaring that nothing can be done about the deceased, but government should see it as a matter of urgency to prevent future occurence and make life comfortable for the living. It wouldn't be denied that the present administration is doinbg their best in curbing this menace but what Nigerians are saying is that they should put more efforts and bring all the perpertrators to book.

It is obvious and glaring that there are clandestine forces behind these incessant and senseless killings ongoing in the country to make this government ungovernable for their political gains and selfish purposes.
The government should not rest until they put an end to the killings for peace to reign in the country and those people behind the killings must put to justice.

The killings are indeed politically motivated and organised. How come these killings are increasing when elections are around the corner? Some elements are definitely behind the killing of innocent Nigerians.
The government also need to be very resolute and ruthless and addressing the issue of these killings and ensure that the perpetrators are quickly brought to book.
There is need for these menace to receive the boko haram treatment.

Are you normal at all? You are hiding behind the killings to insult the personality, integrity and innocency of the President and using that to defame him... I know very well, people like you are behind the killing for your personal purposes and political gains...
I cannot succumb to the hate you sow on people.

There is no need for you to be sentimental and emotional about this. No one called Jonathan a terrorist or a jihadist when bokoharam became a full blown terrorist group in Nigeria. This is the genesis of terrorism in Nigeria. It is very sad and bitter that lives were lost and are been lost but we need to forget about who is in power or who is has been in power. These killings are politically motivated and it is really working in Nigeria politics and until we fight it together irrespective of our political, religious and ethnic differences

May God expose all the evils using the lives if the citizen to play their dirty politics, this is the same fulani herdsmen that has been in our community even before i was born and there was nothing like clashes between the farmers and the herdsmen then..my question is ''why now that the General election is around the corner?it is now obvious there are more we need to know about this killings...i urge the government to put more effort to end the crisis and make sure all the sponsors pay for everything they have done.

This is very disheartening. How long are we gonna experience this incessant killing in the country... I think the government has to do the needful and put more efforts to the security aspect of the nation. Justice has to be done to the deceased by making sure that culprits are brought to book.
I will also like sound this note of warning to the herdsmen carrying out this evil acts, that no matter how long it might take....justice will surely catch up with you.

With the depleted BokoHaram group, it is normal to have spill overs and remnants of this group and I think this is what is transcending into the situation in the country. Some politicians have definitely hijacked the remnants and have turn them into their machinery in other to frustrate the present administration for their selfish ambition and interests.

The Security Forces must always be on full alert to checkmate this evil attacks on people as the killings are politically inclined. The government must not rest until they are able to stop these ravages...
The attacks must be physically, utterly and totally condemnable and the needful to stop it must be done... The lives of every citizens is very important and must not be toying or playing politics with. Nigeria must be freed from this evil acts by some unscrupulous, unjust, vicious and clandestine elements with their aim at instigating destruction in the country and make this govenrment ungovernable.

Please be reminded that killings did not start in Nigeria under Buhari's administration. It has always been there and some people are behind these killings in order to tarnish the image of the President. The best we can do is to call them out to act fast and apprehend the terrorists.

I believe that President Muhammadu Buhari and His Vice Osinbajo are really tried to end this killings but there some Rebellion behind these killings... The effort of this Administration will bring these killings to an end. Who are these people? Can they face Buhari and Osinbajo? They can’t. We don’t carry arms. We will not carry arms. We don’t teach carrying arms, but we can call on God. Our God is bigger than human ammunition...

There is nothing like politically motivated killings.
Nigerians please be truthful for once.

the problem is purely economic.

the sole purpose of these killings is the quest for vegetations to feed cattle as the desert keep encroaching and the grass to feed cattle keeps getting scarce.
they killers just want to wipe out all these agrarian communities in the middle belt so that they can have grass for their cattle..
a simple glance at the satellite images of the Sahel will give a better picture.

It aches my hearth reading through the sad news, and it is brain disturbing realizing that there some political gladiators settling political scores with the lives of innocent Nigeria...how can they be this wicked against their own people?? This is shear wickedness.
They should bear it in mind that the blood of these innocent people will continue to torment them to their grave. I will also like to urge the government to to do the needful and let the country be secure for us to live....May the souls of the deceased rest in perfect peace.

I feel killing my brother or my sister is wrong. God almighty that has created us, loves us. And I’m not sure that God wants us to die. That was why in the first place he sent his son Jesus Christ to come and die for us. He loves us so much so God is saying that we should love ourselves. I am saying that if I love you, I will not kill you...I implore Nigerians to pray for these Administration cos they are really try. Is only God can save us....

If you are emotional about the killings, it is necessary and good...cos we are talking about the lives of people and i am not happy about it as well but you need to understand that these killings is affecting the president too and he's not happy as well. The president is really trying his possible best to put an end to these killings and he vowed not to rest until the killings stop. You only don't need to be sentimental because the killings did not start by this administration.

There are a lot issues like, politics, religion and so many unseen and unimaginable evil forces behind the incessant killings and destruction of properties by fulani herdsmen. It has gotten to an unbearable stage which everyone including the international communities are all expecting the FG to umute, take rapid action and drastic measure to curb and put end to blood shedding and all sorts of devilish acts of the terrorists group called fulani herdsmen before people will begin to carry firearm to defend themselves and turn the country to a state of anarchy which can eventually lead to civil war. FG need to take urgent and serious step to avert everything that can jeopardize the unity peace and democracy of Nigeria
