Thanks bro

Chibabe4Christ:
In my own case I didn't spend money in flight booking, a friend helped me. Go to any of the agent office like Wakanow, tell them you want just an itinerary for SA without pay because you are not sure of visa yet. I think your itinerary expires after I week so you must go when you are ready to go for submission.
But for hotel booking you have to book directly to the hotel. Go to google and type Road Lodge South Africa get their contact and discuss with them. They are reliable and their cancellation policy is superb.
I hope am able to address your concerns.
quote author=adespecial post=68789432]Pls how much did you spend booking for flight and hotel reservation?

I av booked my flight south african airways i wud be landing 5am. I hope i don't encounter any issue.
eluquenson:
One reason we don't condone agents here on NL. Do it yourself is the best and I personally can't really tell you if you will encounter any issues at PoE.

You don't need to be worried so far your training documents are with your agent, get the invitation from him, book hotel also and fly.
At PoE, if they ask your purpose of visitation tell them you are going for a training. You never can tell what they are starting at on there PC.

If you would follow my advice oh, book a ticket that would get to SA at midnight.

Daytime at SA is always busy with their top immigration officials on ground.

All aforementioned are basically my opinion.

No issues, just be bold and sincere. The immigration officer will definitely ask some questions from you which is not limited to your purpose of coming.

Boss, sorry for asking this question.

Is it our naija immigration or South Africa immigration that will ask for BTA at the point of entry?

Please don't mind me,help share more lights on this.

Thank you Sir.

At the point of getting your boarding pass at MMIA, they will ask you but at PoE, sometimes they don't ask i.e.subject to who attends to you. I wasn't asked for PTA in both SA and Kenya but i was greatly disturbed for PTA here in Lagos just because they want some kickbacks.

They have few officers working midnight, hence no much hassles. My experience was cool with them.
It is well known that human being are naturally weak at night, hence no much delay.

During day time, SA immigration go to the extent of calling hotel to confirm reservations made.

You have just few documents needed.
1. Yellow fever card
2. International passport
3. Hotel reservation/bookings (verifiable) if staying in a hotel
4. Your flight ticket
5. Invitation letter if going for training/conference/family/friend visitation.

You shouldn't spend more than 2 minutes with immigration at PoE if those documents are with you. I was nearly deported because of yellow card I left in my big luggage, one officer had to escort me to pick it in my luggage.

South African universities are not exactly generous when it comes to funding. You should look at Canada and USA.

Is she going to study there or what?

Is your brother a permanent resident or he's on a temporary visa?

These would determine how this plays out

Lol, you need a return ticket.
Showing up at PoE with a one way ticket on a visitors visa (if you get that far) you will be placed on the next flight to Lagos.

Very true. Landing in the early hours is very straight forward. It's a different ball game during the day.
2am arrivals are usually the best. Airport is very scanty at that time.

If you can get your documents on time and apply for MasterCard scholarship, then you have a chance of getting full funding in UCT. Look for the MasterCard scholarship thread on NL to guide your application process
