This is how we rear and glorify laziness. Granted that the hostel needs a face-lift/renovation/make-over, but do the students need the government to keep their environment tidy?

Why cant they arrange for a day to clean up the whole place? This is the deception and entitlement mentality that the dysfunctional/decrepit educational system imbues on students such that when they leave school, they become more or less useless to society...

Are you saying Northern administrators would be better at managing the FG universities in the SouthEast, than the current SouthEastern administrators?

I'm shocked that these hostels have been left in an extremely terrible state even after Ozurumba promised that the dilapidation in boys' hostel will become history before he would settle in office.

It's a shame!

I can't even pity them.. These same people will come on nairaland and say all sorts about Covenant University and how student from there can't pass blah blah... While typing from this useless hostel

Seems like u left unn a long time ago. Ziks flat is gone. The structures there are in a sorry state.

UNN happens to be one of the oldest Federal University in Nigeria. Considering how long that hostel has lived, it should be reconstructed by FG, and It's a fact that students are the most difficult set of people to deal with when it comes to keeping their surrounding neat...the hostel management must have given up on them.

What does their Alumnus contribute to the development of the school if their boys hostel is in this nature?

Ozumba is a fraudster, Batho was the best Vc in that school. The cleaners were always doing their job then, I guess that must have changed now.
