TheGoodJoe: How many world cups have we learnt from. This is the same thing that happened from 94 till now. The average Nigerian senior team lack self belief and confidence to take on the world. If na u-17, u-20, u-23 we go dey do gragra dey beat everybody but in the biggest stage at the world cup, we chicken out due to stage fright. Our players mentality is too low for any world cup tournament 1 Like |

Afam4eva:I don't like this talk of average players! Argentina had all the players in this world yet they struggled to progress. Leicester had a relatively unknown players yet they blew away 19 other teams to win the EPL. Ghana in 2010 almost progressed to the semis with the so called average players. Spain with their super stars struggled in a group of Iran and Morocco - don't forget they narrowly qualified etc Football is a team sport. The game is first won in the mind before you step unto the pitch. Our boys were just unnecessarily scared of the Argentines. It wasn't like they beat us with 10 goals margin. We lost because we were complacent and not average. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Abeg o make una no fight. Last last na Rohr make all the personnel/tactical decisions. We have drowned with the boys but we will get back to the surface to continue the building process. The question now is, should Rohr stay or should Rohr go? As for me I’m satisfied with 3-5-2. The problem is, we failed to perfect it leading to the World Cup. How we approached the Croatia game, revealed everything I needed to know about the Rohr. My take, whether we keep him or not, we must keep with the core of this team. The future is always bright. |

Meanwhile we don't have average players, we have the "youngest" squad in the tournament yet cannot run and gets tired easily. 1 Like |

edi287:who is talking about Iheanacho? How many times did I harp on this thread that all we were saying was "anybody but Ighalo"... Who made Ighalo and iheanacho interchangeable? If Iheanacho is playing rubbish, what was Iwobi doing on the bench? Hell, Rohr should have thrown a jersey at Akpeyi and sent him in and he would have still done better than somebody that his village people have made impotent in front of goal 2 Likes |

End of this road for The Super Eagles. They tried their best. I also won't blame any of those players, but that Ighalo miss went directly to my bone, very painful. Nevertheless, l won't quit supporting this team. The Land is Green. 3 Likes |

SlayerForever: Salute What? It was just one job - Don't Lose. In a time of crisis for Argentina, these chickens were still giving useless respect to those S.americans who don't deserve it. Ighalo and Iheanscho showing their level of uselessness.. Simple delay tactics, they couldn't do it... See the way Argentina murdered the remaining time after scoring. 2 Likes |

KevinDein: I saw that too and was really disappointed with Moses there. He wouldn't do that with Chelsea. Every second counts in football. Probably he was tired or he doesn't see the need to struggle for a failing country. In as much as I don't trust ighalo as a striker, we didn't get booted out because of him as I never expected him to score. Moses could have done more. What we needed was to defend with our last blood. |

Ighalo just had to score to ease off d pressure on our defence....he let d team down on dis one but by and large,we win as a team and lose as one....We must up our search for more quality players and build on this experience....a first round exit is hard to take but we would not av won d world cup anyways even if i just wanted us to get one over d argies.....calm down evry1...dis team ll find its balance and do well in d future! |

Musa's hardwork was wasted. He could have gone 1 on 1, but he chose to pass all of them, and we didn't convert any. It's such a pity. But we bowed out gallantly! |

AIG07:How many of our players can make that Leicester team team that won the league? I understand what you mean. But before you can pull the kind of stunt that Leicester pulled, you need to have above average players. Leicester players are no walk overs. Yes, i also agree that we were complacent which is also due to the kind of players we have and other factors such as coaching and technicality. |

The following players should bow out. Ighalo, Moses, Simy, Joel, Onazi, Echiejile... Iheanacho should be careful not to fade out of the national team with his continuous lackluster performances. So much expectation is on him. He is presently failing to live up to them. |
