Ezenwa takes pride in getting Messi's Jersey after the Eagles defeat.

That guy is a disgrace, while others were fighting for points, he was busy fighting for a mere shirt. He should be axed from the Eagles ASAP. He has no shame

If we cannot progress in a world cup where top teams aren't in top form, then I'm lost for words.

We had since 94' to do this.

Just phucking heartbreaking.

I Actually had a mixed feeling immediately I finished watching Portugal and Iran match Two days ago...
That's when I knew that Super eagles will need extra effort and legs to win against Argentina

FIFA is a pure business with Nike and is it addidas or puma sponsoring C Ronaldo and Messi... Definitely everything must be done to help them win respectively.

Though it was very painful... My heart just went dry, sweating profusely...

It was a terror night ...just make sure I ate, do all I need to do before the match...

But I slept like a baby... Very sound sleep... Thank God have recovered...

I will keep supporting super eagles till we get it right...

Focus now shift to AFCON

How many team will qualify from our group..we. Need to start preparation earnest

And also NFF election coming soon in next couple of month... Will AmajuPinnick reelect or get sacked...?

I’m mad at him because he did not hit target at least. Anything could still have happened. The Keeper could have saved it, it could have crashed against the bar, or even deflected for a corner.

Modified
The miss wasn’t as bad as Yakubu’s

Even better thanYekini miss against Italy at US 94.Aiyegbeni and Yekini miss are the worst in Nigeria WC history.I think Ighalo miss should rank number three.

which gang up?? the only person who ganged up against us today was Ighalo!

when you look at the goal Rojo- a defender,, scored- with his weaker foot,,

then you remember the goal Rulic- a Croatian midfielder- scored against this same Argentina,, you cannot help but wonder if Ighalo wasn't sent to just ruin this world cup for us..

please hush the gang up talk,, we said it here that Ighalo is one big. bag of dorty

SENTIMENT with no substance what so ever.

Apparently we are all pained, but shouldn't be disappointed - at least it's very certain we ain't gonna win the World Cup!

The Boys tried, they fought till the End and we humbly exit the Tournament. We didn't succumb to their Pressures cowardly, just unlucky to concede the late Goal.

Blaming a particular Player ain't gonna change anything, we are out honorably and we should be proud of the Lads. I am particularly impressed with the 3 CBs and Idowu - they did very wonderful Jobs.

Let's Channel our focus to AFCON Qualifiers, as well as hoping for better reinforcement of the Team. Some Players must make way surely; for the hungry, youthful, skillful ones to come in.

Gonna be back when Tensions, Wailings, and Frustrations die down completely. Bravo........to Rohr, technical Crew and Players - you all did us proud!!!

Shalom!
Salaam!

Note: don't bother, or waste your precious Data to quote me, cos I won't respond to any Quotes - at least for the meantime.

Agreed without reservation

Nigerians will never go anywhere with our blame game mentality. I am pissed off but the fact is that the guys did their best. Ighalo missed chances but what striker doesn't? We should win as a team and lose like one too. If you feel that is yarning dust then too bad because that is the truth. We leave the fact that we were denied 2 penalties, one that could have sealed the match but destroy our own. I don't care what you people say if we can't get a striker that can hold up the ball I will continue screaming Ighalo's name. It was clear to see that the Einsteins were wrong. We ran away from lack of movement because Ighalo made us look silly with the dummy he did for Ndidi.

Agreed without reservation

Words of wisdom amidst chaotic rantings of blame and abuse.

I don't like this talk of average players!

Argentina had all the players in this world yet they struggled to progress. Leicester had a relatively unknown players yet they blew away 19 other teams to win the EPL.

Ghana in 2010 almost progressed to the semis with the so called average players. Spain with their super stars struggled in a group of Iran and Morocco - don't forget they narrowly qualified etc

Football is a team sport. The game is first won in the mind before you step unto the pitch. Our boys were just unnecessarily scared of the Argentines. It wasn't like they beat us with 10 goals margin.

We lost because we were complacent and not average.

You play for a 95 minutes.

We lost this game because we lost concentration and did not defend as a unit.

Under no circumstances should Rojo be allowed the freedom to collect a ball inside our own 18 that was UNFORGIVABLE particularly in the last 3/4 minutes of full time.

We got mentally fatigued and LOST CONCENTRATION..

That's where the game was lost for me.

But Ighalo miss just makes it harder.

Meanwhile we don't have average players, we have the "youngest" squad in the tournament yet cannot run and gets tired easily.

Please we know where we de come from.

That youngest squad is officially but we know ourselves. Our player who are just above 25 barely 3/4 years it quality football left.

That's why have limited continuity.

who is talking about Iheanacho?

How many times did I harp on this thread that all we were saying was "anybody but Ighalo"... Who made Ighalo and iheanacho interchangeable? If Iheanacho is playing rubbish, what was Iwobi doing on the bench? Hell, Rohr should have thrown a jersey at Akpeyi and sent him in and he would have still done better than somebody that his village people have made impotent in front of goal

You wicked oh

Pls lets no ditch some of the young players on our team. Uzoho is only 19 but now he's battle tested since he played decent against Messi, Di Maria, Higuaín, Sergio Aguero and Banega in a span of 90 mins. Even though they lost form, that was a blood thirsty Argentine side we played against that hit us with everything they had and our defense played commendably well against them. Lets observe this defense a little more to see how they play in future international games.

It's the offense I'm worried about. I'm starting to doubt Ihenacho but he's 21 so he can still get better. He needs to pass the ball more because it's starting to look like he's turning into another V.Moses.

The following players should bow out.

Ighalo, Moses, Simy, Joel, Onazi, Echiejile...

Iheanacho should be careful not to fade out of the national team with his continuous lackluster performances. So much expectation is on him. He is presently failing to live up to them.

When the desirable is not available the available becomes desirable.

Ighalo and KC are not top strikers they are well below average in terms of world class quality. Our players are essentially average if not below.

In reality what other strikers do we have We are scraping the bottom of the pot looking for talent. The reality is like it or.not top players play in top leagues and top teams. Our options are very limited.

Ighalo left the EPL after an abysmal last season and went for the $$$££££€€€ in China. KC has been over hyped to the point of delusion here, he was let go by city and has been abysmal at Leicester. That's our from Line up that's supposed to do wonders.

Our CB's are not the best in the World.

We have some players showing potential like Ndidi Etebo, Ebuehi, Iwobi but they have some way to go.

We have no replacement for Mikel anywhere at the moment.

All our friendlies have indicated that we have problems.

All said and done considering putting matters into context the SE have tried thier best. I hail them.

But I am GUTTED so close yet so far.

Atlanta 96 healed the U.S.A 94 pain. I was so so sad haahaa, we were almost there. Oliseh should have kicked that ball into the stands. Each time I remember that match, tears drop from my eyes. But thank God for Atlanta 96 and especially Nigeria vs Brazil, that game healed most of us completely.

One of the 35 years old player was the best player in the Austrian league 2 seasons ago and is currently in the 14th best club in the world.

One of the 35 years old player still made belgium pro league team of the week last season.

Leading to the game, many people were praying to G[g]od, I just shook my head.

If you are a Christian you should be reading your Bible even more than your pastors (some pastors don’t really read the BiBle, they just look for points to buttress their agenda). Above all, pray for the Holy Spirit for understanding.

Is that not the entire essence of our church culture in Nigeria.

What's new.

Ezenwa is the kind of goalie that can be seduced to sell out a match.

Before you come with the excuses. Yes that is his souvenir that he went to the world cup and I say a big congratulations to him, but that should be the height of his achievement with the super eagles.

hi everyone hope y'all are doing great won't lie still hurting from yesterday felt really bad this morning but that's football for you. i know we were all feeling bad and i can understand the need to vent but don't be too harsh on the players especially ighalo. odion knows he ffd up and his terrible miss will leave with him for the rest of his career.

special shout out to musa you proved your doubters me included that you are a big game player.

francis well done kept with maturity and calmness beyond your young age sky is your starting point.

omeruo, balogun, ekong et al kudos to you guys mikel did his best wasn't always on form but gave his best and led his troops admirably.

i think rohr should be retained even though i understand and respect some posters opinions that he should go i feel the positives he has brought to our football are alot with addition and discovery of better players i feel he can achieve more but the backroom staff has to be juggle with the addition of young enterprising nigerian coaches to the technical crew. amunike and finidi come to mind. salisu should be permanently posted to the chan eagles.

this current administration of nff led by amaju pinnick should be re-elected but he should play his politics well and paddy up with the sport ministry/fg so they wont cause confusion like the election charade of 2014.

to all the posters mutjahida, joebie, icon4, kog45, goodjoe, safarigirl, forgiveness, supernerd, basco, komekn, icon79, aig17 and others so numerous to mention you all rock!

This is the crux of the problem which I have been mentioning, our players mentality is too low for the world cup tournament. Have the FIFA president not visited Nigeria before? So what's the damn thing about him coming to your dressing room. Stage fright, inferiority complex and lack of self confidence killed the team in this world cup.

This is the most timid senior national team I have ever seen, running after messi jersey and taking pics with FIFA president. Oh what a crap. Real poo
