According to media reports, an air force officer and a police officer were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen after being ambushed in Riyom village in Plateau State. It was also gathered that their rifles were carted away by the attackers.

This is coming after Plateau State Government imposed a 6pm to 6am curfew in Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Jos South local government areas following attacks and reprisals in some communities that led to the death of over 100 persons.

About 12 communities in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State of Plateau came under multiple attacks over the weekend leading to the death of dozens, according to local sources.

The attacks, however, led to a breakdown of law and order around Angle D, which is close to Grand Cereals in Jos South as travellers were forced out of their vehicles and killed.

National Helm scooped that the weekend attack is suspected to be the climax of weeks of tit-for-tat killings between Berom locals and the Fulani communities around Barkin Ladi.

Of course i have my PVC and i would surely vote against the tyrant as well as encouraging others around me to get theirs.

But my worry has always been whether our votes will count and the reasons are not far fetched. Firstly, the man at the helm of affairs at INEC, has he any proven record of stewardship before prior to his appointment. It is safe to say that he will no way be in the league of Jega; the former INEC boss in terms of integrity judging by the people buhari appointed or surrounded himself with such as the Army chief, IGP, former SGF, Chief of staff, customs boss etc, and the list continues, every one of them has been involved in one scandal or the other and they are all said to be his friends, even the wife one time had to lament about how she didn't know any of his appointee during the period of the campaign and to his eventual reelection and until their appointments, the INEC chair won't be any different.

Secondly, Buhari so far has proven beyond reasonable doubts that he is no way a democrat but a dictator judging by his actions and inactions. Dictators are known for their unflinging desire to cling to power even in death. The president's state of health, age and the clamour for him not to seek reelection by the populace is enough to make him quench his desire for the interest of his people yet he still went ahead to declare his intention to contest again. This can only mean one thing that he has already perfected plans to rig the election through his friend the inec boss. Though i hope that would not be the case. Let me stop here. Sorry for the long post
