I said kelechi can't jump and you have not been able to prove otherwise, at least I have brought verifiable stats to back my claims. One header is not enough to say he's good with aerial balls.
It's like saying Messi has a strong right foot, because he scored Nigeria with his right foot.
You can scream hater from now till November, wouldn't make me change my position.

Story.

I have told you that it is not true that Iheanacho can not jump. I told you Nacho had a good leap in the Manchester derby he scored which was an assist to De Bruyne. A man who can not jump can not make that leap.

Finito.

“I am excited to join the best club in Portugal and I will make my loan from Arsenal count,”

“I have longed to play in a competitive league which this opportunity has given me and I will grab it with both hands.”

“I want to have a wonderful season with them and hopefully the long wait for a Super Eagles invitation will come with a good performance,”

Why haven't he been showing off this high jump power? Maybe he's waiting for another Manchester derby to show us this skill?
Better go refund kelechi back his money. Nobody believes you here anymore.

I’m not even here to argue. On what basis does he get to be acquired on loan? On the back of what attributes are clubs interested in his signature? I’m sure u know something other coaches and scouts do not know. Or at least you are speaking based on your preferences as a coach. But coaches think differently. Will you change your opinions if he performs well next season? If not, it’s either like his style as a player or you don’t just like his person

semid4lyfe:

Oga, my comments are not about his world cup performance but his "footballing ability"

I have always felt that way about him, even when he was at Man City.

Pls tell me, which position does Nacho excel playing at?

Centre forward?

Support Striker?

Attacking Midfield?

Wing forward?

Which football attributes does he possess?

Dribbling?
Pace?
Close/good ball control?
Passing?
Aerial threat?
Positional play & good movement?
Hold up play ability?

Shot accuracy is too limited a skill set and won't keep him at the top league

I play the game, I coached the game and I watch the game.

I know a good player when I see one. Iheanacho is not a good player.

I foresee Iheanacho going the way of Freddy Adu, Dominic Adiyiah & co who fell from the heights of european football to obscurity.

Yea he too should be on our radar. Let’s see if he gets a run of games in the coming season

forgiveness:

Jacob Adebanjo of Vitoria Setubal is also there.

Kelechi is in a downhill for now. Ahmed Musa have revived his career. Imagine see the club chasing him now.

I'd however prefer a half fit Nacho to a fit Ighalo.

Nacho playing that role wasn't great for him. He fits a smf or a winger when playing for naija. What works is what should be considered and not potentially. Just like Iwobi has proved he can play 10 for us.

See nonsense Leicester Tryna call back Musa. Abegiiiii.

Wondered how you thought Nacho only scored tap ins, I forgot that you only read stats to argue. When someone says Nacho can jump, you will look at stats and argue. Forgetting stats do not paint the whole picture.

Take care Hater.

I think we need to work on the team's play and set-up than just positions of players. We are too conservative as a team and it is affecting the performances of the players.

The Messi free kick didn't require a miracle save since it was placed on the keepers safe spot not round the wall.

Go and watch that ball again

Most of his goals are tap ins. Recall the tap in against Man utd from 3 yards? He scored Arsenal in a preseason game played in Austria off a deflected shot with his buttocks. More than 90% of his goals came from inside the 6yard box. That's a fact.

He is 20 already. Amiens, Salzburg and Anderletch are best bets. At this age he should be playing first team football and those 3 offer him that in less competitive leagues than the EPL since his epl debut with ManU is a tall dream.

He would be playing first team football na that is the point of going to their B team.

I don't think he scored a single tap in last season. Most were outside the box.

Good question. “Don’t I THINK”. What you think is different from what you know. You are judging from his academy years. But a lot can happen as a player develops. The truth is we will never know.

goldfish80:

Dont you think Mikel would have done much more better than he did if he developed his game more than being Chelsea's water carrier?

Rohr is sick to me for consistently using some players to play the 8friendlies towards the world cup and then suddenly feeling like they aren't good enough when they are already used to each other. I don't get. He just brushed them asides like they don't matter again.

This team must be built around 5 key players to me

Uzoho
Ebuehi
Ndidi
Iwobi
Iheanacho in that order.

You are not balanced in your position. You should as well mention the classy goals he scored. Or didn’t he? Or if u we’re in the position to tap in, would you do a bicycle kick?

Sorry to say, but I like being candid. There's no where in world you can convince me that Iceland is better than Japan.
Please let's turn a leaf and stop these half truths, it won't get us anywhere. Look at one of the Iceland defenders, the young man worked in a Salt packing factory prior to the world cup, their number 8 is a bar attendant, this much was revealed by a comentator during their match against Argentina, about 4 others are medical doctors. Their goalkeeper Hannes is a professional film maker. I can go on and on...

I was ashamed being a Nigerian when people were going wild with jubilation after beating these guys. Beating these guys should be routine. Their famous results against England, Argentina and the likes is just the case of when a dog bites a man and when a man bites a dog...

Lastly, Colombia looks a better team and in better shape than Argentina in this tournament at least. Recently, Colombia defeated France in Paris, I will eagerly await the result of France Argentina to compare notes.

The same Iceland has produced greater players than Japan.
