This forum is becoming like APC government where you get 'banned' once your view runs parallel to theirs. You are free to call it witch-hunting. O dikwa egwu ooo!

The fact that this thread has been pinned to the mast head of the politics section of Nairaland for years is quite telling.
What danger do the so called "secessionists" pose both to this forum and to the society at large?
Vain speeches?
Sit at home protests?

It is obvious to all that there is carnage in certain parts of the nation, with bloodshed and violence a daily occurrence for years now.
Yet it is interesting to see no pinned thread speaking out in protest of the wanton killings.
Can unity, peace and progress be attained under a cloud of ruthlessness?

Keeping this thread alive amounts to chasing rats whilst the roof of the barn is being burnt down. If there truly was no ill will exhibited in this forum, why can there not be a thread instead of hanging unto a band of "secessionists", rather, upholding the beauty in the unity and diversity of this great nation?

It would seem that the aim of this thread is to fan the long dead embers of discord instead of uniting a people most in need of unity and peace.

TAKE THIS THREAD DOWN.

I hope our eastern brothers are as well reading this.
I hate seeing words like "Igbo", "afonja", etc.
Let's all be mindful.
And those throwing hates around sld be careful.
Let's only promote love.

Thanks Seun.

You go ban tire na. So what happens to freedom of expression and beliefs? So Yorubas are free to aspire and promote their Odua beliefs and Hausas, Arewa but Igbos of course are to be banned to talk or aspire for their beliefs in Biafra. Highly disappointed in you Seun.

What stops you from coming up with a superior argument why they should remain in Nigeria? Why are you so scared to discuss Biafra? Must we all have the same line of thoughts or intellectual discourse? I reject being or tagged a zombie where a fellow man will dictate what I discuss.

Dear Sir,

kindly refrain from making excessive noise, please. In case you missed it, this happens to be a private enterprise, and like all such endeavors is subject to the whims of its owner, who, in this instance, has made his known in no uncertain terms.

This thread is meant to serve as a reminder to those, mainly of your ilk, who may wish to use this social space as a launchpad for their destructive secessionist agenda. The owner has clearly said he will no longer allow such. He loves you all.

As a postscript, your last point (bolded) is a classic in oxymorons: that somehow numerous threads calling for the breakup and destruction of the Nigerian project does not "fan the long dead embers of discord", but instead one which admonishes us to eschew divisive agitations does? I laugh in Kiswahilli.

Thank you for your attention.

kindest regards

[quote author=Seun post=40872336]Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.

We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:

I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.

Thanks,
Seun (Founder Of Nairaland).Hi seun i want to place an advert on nairaland how do i go about it and the cost
