This is sad. With all that huge scholarship. Well, only them know what they want from you. However, what was collected from you for verification when they gave you administrative processing?

Passport, i20, letter from the school and my enrolment contract.

No agent is involved. Got it from a camp I attended. I got it changed easily because the school really value Me and want me at all cost. What do I do now?

Great to hear that it's genuine...
See if the offer still stands for spring. I won't advice you to refire at this time.
Give it time and try again. Try to hear from the gurus too. All the best.

Why would you accept to do another BS degree and in microbiology, which you've done before?

That's where the problem lies. Find a masters level course that will give the opportunity to go for PharmD degree in the nearest future.

That bold could have been said differently or a better reason for Bsc to Bsc..... Bsc to Bsc is harder to convince so that answer should be strong . Also we always advice against one school application

Ie your passion has always been in nursing and having a bsc in microbiology has so many transferable knowledge which you intend to use to make a career switch to nursing . This just a random though

But since I mentioned during the first interview that I applied to one school, I can't change that during this second interview for consistency reasons

And for the Bsc to Bsc I would work on that

Anyone up for mock interviews? I know its not the same over the phone but it'll go a long way to have the sense of a stranger's scrutiny. I have been trying to maintain eye contact any and everywhere, even with the lizards on the fence of my compound.

If all you said is true, I think you're just unfortunate. I've seen many Eastern Africans came to US for studies on athletic scholarship just like you. The only difference is they came for higher education. Since you were denied after AP, I would like to ask if the school coach gave you a recommendation letter stating your value to them or it's just a general recommendation from the school? And is it a private or public school?

Though I don't what document those guys on athletic scholarship submitted but it will be good to ask the school if they've done such before. This are getting hard with AP flying frequently these days

Advice pls.

I was offered admission for PhD in Bioenvironmental Science at Morgan State University but on my I-20, the school wrote Biological Science. I complained to them and they told me they could only get Biological Science on SEVIS drop-down box.

What should I fill in my DS-160? Is it Biological Science, as contained in my I-20 or Bioenvironmental Science which is what I was given admission for?

Hi Everyone, my visa was denied on the 29th of June, and the earliest date on my dashboard for rescheduling is August 15th. Is it advisable for me to pick this date since my resumption date is on 27th of August, thinking if it's possible for me to depart right before resumption so I won't have any problem at the POE provided my visa is approved.

Also, is it possible to get the visa on 15th on August, then defer admission till January?

Help me on this please

Yes it's possible.
If you have a successful interview on the 15th, it will take up to 3 days before you can collect the visa.
So once there are travel plans in place you can still meet up with 27th.

On the other hand, if you get the visa on the 15th you can defer if you wish.
What you need to do is to contact the school and explain your situation and tell them you wish to defer ur admission. You might have to pay defer fee tho. Then they will send you another i-20 form when you are ready to resume.

This is not a problem. Choose the one on the i-20. Its fine.

I have same issue but i wrote the actual course i was given admission for not the one on the i-20 as the school said that was the code given to it by the state hence having a different course on my i-20. Butt there's a remark session on my i-20 where my actual course was written.Hope filling my actual course on my ds160 and not the one written down on the i-20 wont be a problem?

Whichever one you wrote, it's just answering basic question. "I am going for so..so course but written as so.so on the i-20 because of Sevis....." Your V.O is aware of such instances; you just tell the VO when asked. Simple!

K234 post=68959270]Hello guys...I started following this thread sometime last month. I read every visa interview transcript (both approved and delayed) from Part 11, 12 and 13. Nairaland almost became my Bible..

I want to thank everyone for their contribution so far, I"m glad I stumbled on this thread because it really prepared me for my interview.

My visa was approved yesterday at the U.S consulate, Walter Carrington.
