Thank you for your help. My first degree is Economics. I will edit the sppointment profile as you said. Thanks once again for the reply.

Okay. You are about to get married. If asked if you are married, tell them the situation as it is. You are engaged...and getting married soon, or as you may wish.
On your program of study. I think the school may not want to change what is written on the i-20, and it doesn't really matter. Prepare to give very quality, point-based answer to why you want to study Financial Mathematics. Prepare to answer "Why did you chose Financial Mathematics (which is a unique course). Prepare yourself to tell they why you chose the program stated on your i-20, not MS Finance. Please note! Other than that, what was your first degree?

As per the the error with your middle name, I think you can update the appointment profile. Just go back to that website. I hope this mistake was not on the DSFORM that you use its ID NUMBER to schedule the appointment? Good luck!

I'm sorry to inform you that the real price for this is $10,000 but you know Nigerians won't even fall for that. I suggest you try Ghanians and the likes...besides I wonder how many of us you can help at once! grin ...BUT! If you join a CNA program now, you should make that by the end of next year or so. If upgrade your studies, even better!!

Read carefully between the lines you see here, everyone is seriously trying to study. angry
Everyone? Lol Not everyone here will/is study/studying. People's reason and goals are different, fo some its just a pathway/route

The V.O that interviewed you is nice. They do say it time without number if your story hasn't changed within the last 6 months, dont reapply. I think you were refused not less than 2months, let's say you came june 1st and you are going back home 30th or July, the probability of getting your visa approved is slim. The V.O will likely agree with his/her colleague decision and won't bother asking you much questions. That's a sign of respect to his colleague as nothing has really changed in your application. The best thing to do is wait. Wait till spring 2019 or fall 2019. You can aswear apply for PhD so that your profile will be stronger next time you appear before them. Don't give up, wish you the best in your future endeavours.
I don't agree with that...people reapply immediately after denial and granted on their second trial which is just weeks interval, most of all these stuff depends on the VO, besides we have seen VOs grant visa to people recently denial without even asking what has changed in their profile since last denial. I just believe you work and pray hard as your approval hangs on the VO discretion....God help us Jor.

Please guys my question. Please
TheLee:
Hi guys,

So my friend had issues with her i20, there was a server fluke and the DSO didn’t get an update on her admission status for a long time. When she did it was June ending and the program starts Aug 14. The visa date she got is Aug 10, is it advisable to apply for expedited interview date or should she just go through with it on that date.
Thanks

If you're asked if you're married. Answer the question based on what you filled on your form. Lie and contradict what on your form and get denied/delayed... Goodluck!

TheSuperladyy:
Good Morning Everyone.
I would appreciate if my questions could be answered please.

Background information: I got an admit for MS Finance at University of New Haven, Fall 2018.

1. When i received my I-20, The course written on it was Financial Mathematics. I contacted the school and the AO said that is how its stated for SEVIS purposes. She said its because of the course's STEM designation. My question is this, How do I answer the "whats your course of study?"question during My Visa Interview.

2. I booked my interview for 18th of July, and my registry wedding will hold on 27th of July. If the VO asked if i am married, Should I just say no and leave it at that or should i give details of the planned wedding?

3. My Visa appointment confirmation page showed I made a mistake in my name while booking. I wrote "DEMOLA" instead of "DAMOLA" as my middle name. Would this have any negative impact? If yes, How can I rectify the error?

Sorry for the lengthy Post and Thank you as you oblige with answers.

1) I am just saying you shouldn't generalize 2) Whether $10k or $27k,that sham is not something I support. I believe that money could be put into better use like down payment for house etc. As a genuine student with degrees,I believe there are many ladies you will get to meet and marry legally so far you have goals with good personality. The opportunities abound but it is left to you if you can live with the cultural differences. However, there are also some people on the other side of the divide who have to find a way by all means.

Such individuals are married! No doubt!
myright:
what about people that have done traditional marriage and church wedding but yet to register at the registry, what would be the answer to "are you married?"

I didnt say its not possible. I said the chances are slim. Better not to keep wasting money than continuous trial and still getting refused.

Please I need help my people. The school am applying to asked for a sample of legal writing. This is not a personal statement. Now I don't even know how to go about it. Anyone who has written such before? Please help a sister. You can contact Jen on whatsapp: 08064553800. Thanks my able people
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 13 by Quoran: 6:48pm On Jul 05, 2018
Sorry,I'm curious. If they ask for samples of legal writing,it means they assume you are already proficient at it to a certain degree. If you cannot provide your own legal writing samples, how will you cope when you start the program? When you're applying to certain specialised programs, you need certain things to set you apart from other applicants. For instance, if you are applying for an MFA, you need a writing sample or portfolio. Same goes for an artist who wants a certain kind of degree. I will advise you check the program well and make sure it is well suited for you. Nevertheless, you can find writing samples on Google but unfortunately, they can't stand as yours at the moment.

I believe she understood my message as she has been there. If you reapply within a short. The V.O will likely not ask you much questions and probably refuse you as he/she will believe his/her colleague did a good job and nothing has changed from your story within that short period. So my advice Is, if your story hasn't changed, dont reapply... like you went earlier without funding and suddenly funding came from another school... You have a story change here, you can reapply. If nothing tangible has changed, please don't waste money reapplying as you will likely be refused again.

You're right but at the same time, reapplying without anything changed, few days after the first interview could still get you the visa.
