me: He's into the importation of fabric and textile.

vo: how many children does he have

me: 3

vo: Has he been out of the country before?

me: Yes.

Vo: where

me: Usa, China, Cameroon

vo:Tell me his name, first and last

me: I did

she stares at the documents for over minutes. then looked at her system like she's searching for somthing. took a while too. I was just standing there. she then typed for a very long time. then said "sorry I ll have to agree with my former colleague. you do not qualify now. U can reapply.

Since your uncle has been to US before, they know him. At that part, she was doing was fetching his record. Question is, has he ever given birth in US before or does he have properties in US? Hope he's not owing anything in US. Go ask your uncle what's the deal is before thinking of going back in the nearest future.

I am planing to schedule a student permit appointment at the US embassy. I got admitted at a community college MDC for associate.

I need help with what kind of issue I might encounter.

I applied and got admitted for the summer, I didn't make that now I requested for new F-I 20. And they are preparing it right now as I type.

Will it be a good idea to say, I attended GED class in US while of visitor visa.

Use Google Maps to find out.
I'll advice you take BRT (Blue Bus) from Ketu directly to TBS on the Island
Take keke from TBS going to Eko Hotels and tell them to drop you @the US embassy building.
If I were you I'll go and find out where the embassy is before the interview (if you still have enough time)
Thanks I will do that

Microbiology is unrelated with Nursing as far as career is concerned. Microbiology is an applied science while Nursing is under healthcare. I believe the vo knows that you can't just jump into MSN without some prereqs for MSN and clinical. So, we can say he asked why you're not going for a masters in Microbiology but you want to go for bachelors, which you already have as your highest degree. But you were busy discussing the difference between MSN and BSN. Even with that, you were wrong. For you to have a masters in nursing, you would have done some clinical as a RN and you would do more advanced clinical as a MSN student. You missed the most important part of your interview.
Microbiology is related to nursing, there are Courses I can take in msc program that would help me achieve an MSC in nursing from microbiology. She mentioned it that day, that promted my response.

She was asking why not take a course in msc that would help me achieve masters in nursing. She wasn't asking why not masters in microbiology.

In America.... nope . This is not possible. To have MSC in nursing from microbiology bsc

I doubt that very much

I was denied in June and have gotten a date for 20th July.My sister is my sponsor, please can she move funds into my account? So that I can state that this is what has changed from my last interview.Although,on my DS 160 I picked other relatives as my sponsor.Does it really matter?
I believe she understood my message as she has been there. If you reapply within a short. The V.O will likely not ask you much questions and probably refuse you as he/she will believe his/her colleague did a good job and nothing has changed from your story within that short period. So my advice Is, if your story hasn't changed, dont reapply... like you went earlier without funding and suddenly funding came from another school... You have a story change here, you can reapply. If nothing tangible has changed, please don't waste money reapplying as you will likely be refused again.[/quote]

No, dont do that. That will raise an eyebrow. Your sister as sponsor is enough. Find a good reason why your sister is sponsoring. Like i said earlier, it all depends on V.O. If what you filled earlier is genuine, no need change anything. Just go for your interview and hope for the best.

Fill a new DS 160 and choose Abuja while filling the DS form. Don't use Lagos DS 160 for Abuja DS 160. There is a reason they separated the two on their database

Hi everyone. I need help deciding on a program...

I got into a few programs in the US for MSc Software Engineering & MSc Computer Science with Software Engineering track. I have tried over the past few days to decide on which one to attend, but I'm not making a headway. I have done a ton of research, read reviews on reddit, rate my professor and so on. I just want input from anyone who is or knows someone currently enrolled in one of these schools to provide me with more "real" information, you know, what It's actually like attending any one of these schools, particularly as a Nigerian student.

The schools are :

Bradley University, Peoria Illinois.

Kennesaw State University, Georgia.

Loyola University, Chicago.

University of Houston- Clear Lake

Towson University, Maryland.

Thank you.

Same lady interviewed me, she only asked two questions, although i was already distabilized befor getting there, she didnt give me the opportunity to show my toefl or my waiver from the school. Well am just going to relax for now and differ my admission, i want to rewrite another toefl and score higher, and probably get a travel experience. I know am going to study come spring, my dreams cant die like that.
Dont worry we will make it. Saying thanks to all who have always been of help here @ Lagosismyhome, @ inperiuxxx and all i cant mention

Good day people...my application was denied today at Abuja embassy...I plan to reapply as my school is resuming on 16th of august...I was interviewed by d young white lady at window 9; here's my transcript, kindly help assess;
Me: good morning ma
Vo: she signalled and says pass me ur document ( den I passed passport and I20)
Vo: why did u choose prairie view?
Me: I chose pv because the cis curriculum at pv integrates data science, electronic commerce and information security into d study plan. This will give me a well rounded exposure to advance my career as a data analyst when I return after my study. ( I wanted to keep talking but she cut me short.....
Vo: who is sponsoring u
Me: my elder sister...she owns an event management and catering services company
Vo: have u travelled before
Me: No
All through she was typing and m not sure she looked at me for more dan 2 secs

Vo: what did u study for undergraduate
Me: I studied physics
Vo: and u r going to study what?
Me : computer Information systems
Then she typed for like 30-40 seconds after which she passed my passport, I20 and a white paper dt states u r not eligible under section 214(b)
I was fairly composed during d interview but I feel I was not given enough chance to express my professional ties as I am employed
Please where did I go wrong...and what can I correct to improve my chances. How soon can I get a new date in lagos....my school resumes August 16
