My dear e-family, So I am here to just rant!!! Hnmmmmmm..... This PR process can teach the most impatient person how to be patient oh.....HAHA I am shocked at how long this process is taking for us (me and my crew - hubby and 2 children) We commenced the process since October 12, 2016 and after plenty "Orisirisi drama capped with miracles and testimonies" we landed ITA on September 6, 2017, lodged visa application (189) - September 22, 2017. We received the immi assessment commencement email - November 6, 2017 and since then, DoHA have been owing us our visas oh. Chai this waiting game is a humbling one. I know it will end in Praise though So in all sha, I pray that no one on this thread will have to wait this long (its almost 10 months now) after visa application Meanwhile, if there is anyone here who has also lodged visa application can we please state our gist/timelines here it might help me know I am not alone. thank you 1 Like |

Phlunter01: Since the second half of 2017, it's taken longer (on average) for grants to get received- even with all the frontloading, high points etc etc. To give you hope though, I know someone who started the process in Oct '17 and got the grant in April '18- moved down already too. Just "keep the faith'' and ensure your employment experience places/contact are on point if DIBP decides to verify all; a few cases of HR calls going south have been heard. 2 Likes |

@Phlunter01, You're not alone in this...We applied for 190 since June 2017, It's over 12 months and nothing yet till now...I sent several emails to them and finally got a response yesterday. They said that our application is still undergoing checks and the timing for the checks varies from one Individual to the other. I know it will surely end in praise. |

Hello House, thank you for the good work you guys are doing. I have a challenge which I believe people that have been in this journey for a while can help me. I have a B.sc in Finance and an M.Sc in Purchasing and supply chain mgt and have a 5yrs experience in procurement. AIM is the assessing body for Procurement Manager and Supply/Distribution Manager which only assesses Senior Managers level. However, I don't have their requirements as my job is only on a functional level. Can I use Vettasses for assessment? Please i need advice cos I don't want to go wrong. Thank you[/quote] |

titila: You can only use VETASSES if they are authorised to assess for the occupation. |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by jayooh: 2:02pm On Jul 06, 2018 |
gbengaolu360: No need to apply for any reassessment, all you need do is show proof to DIBP you're still in the same employment/role as at the time of lodging your visa application. EA as already done theirs by assessing the employment to be relevant and related to your nominated occupation. |

wazilo: The one you should assess for is the one with more opportunities for state nomination. As it stands, mechanical is better. But do your research and make an informed decision. 1 Like |

This I have made my mind on mech engine thingy, I no dey there oh. Ko wa advisable rara. Pro rata can take till eternity to happen and next thing you'll hear is "flagged for removal". No vex say aproko dey worry mamajaz, ara owo lo ta mi o @ phlunter01, I can only say that, it is well. Those guys hennnn, their cases don dey dey different, but I know, you'll not be put to shame. Hello everyone, I'm looking to assess with TRA in the hope that my intended occupation would atleast be open in 2 states by the time I'm ready to send in my EOI and state nominations. My options (closely related occupations) are: 1. H/W Technician (open for TAS, open for SA too but now requires high points due to recent changes) 2. ICT Customer Support Officer (open for SA) 3. ICT Support Technician nec (open for SA) PS. I didn't include regions requiring a prior job offer An outside option is Telecoms Linesworker which fits the bill (for availability in 2 states) and is open for NT (489 & 190) and Vic(190) but is not so closely related to my present work. TRA takes quite some time to finish assessments of applications. I forsee some changes by that time too. Gurus in the house, please advise. I would love to hear from those who've have had experiences with any of those states too. Thanks. |

wazilo:. It's not all their trades nah. In fact, motor mechanic is not among the 4. I remember plumbing, AC mechanic and 2 others. However, if your spirit goes with EA, don't lemme confuse you oh. God will guide you and make things work out for you. I'm only expressing my fear as a woman being. 1 Like |

I suggest you apply for remark if the IELTS test result is less than 6weeks (check the actual time frame). The 6.5 score may get higher afterwards and earn you 10 points. Nayaaaaa: |
