Not to start comparative talks but for Islam, punishment for adultery is stoning to death, while for fornication is 100 lashes first then stoning to death. Sunni practice and ideally this is for atonement. Lev 20:10 and Deu 22:22 also clearly states that the punishment for fornication and adultery is death as well.
