Yayira:1 - excellent results for last year. 2 - stability in an uncertain market as they are both blue chip stocks. Backed by their excellent results for last year. 3 - these stocks are not acting as expected. Plus potential upside ain't worth the wait. DC @261 'n Z @33..wasn't exactly great entry points. 4 - Was just considering that a smaller cap stock will gain faster. And Honeywell looks set to go. I should have folded since but I have been waiting for my old brokerage account to be transferred and merged (since February!) Well thanks for your response. I will wait to see Q2 results and market response. |

Pls I bought shares with Fidelity Bank PLC. since Nov. 2007 but I have never claimed my dividends even for ones. My question is can all the unclaimed dividends be paid at once now that I want it? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by RealityShot: 2:07am On Jul 10, 2018 |
Yayira:yes Ma'am. The 18% is not on each.. It's for both (I lost over 90% on my last brokerage account) I ain't in the market for "nice". It's all about the papers. I will consider that... Folding might be great because of the elections. Thank you very much |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by RealityShot: 2:09am On Jul 10, 2018 |

Yayira: My thought though.I think stocks like caverton, honeyflour, cilesng will be good to wait for under #1 if zenth sells for #15.Preparing another cash for future trading. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Chibuking81(m): 7:45am On Jul 10, 2018 |
locodemy:Zenith bank at #15 is achievable in no distant time. It's a good stock, but they foreign investors that invested in Zenith bank are gradually leaving the market to wait for outcome of election. If you want to buy more Zenith bank unit of share, sell now and wait for election period, then you will buy 1 unit and get one free, times number of share you will buy. Some might not like this post, but it will soon come to fulfilment. There is nothing to move the market this year, and early next year. Economy of a country work together with their political environment and activities. |

MSCI- NIGERIA MOVEMENT FOR 9 JULY 2018/GENERAL MARKET COMMENT Same song of selling occurred for 9 July 2018. However, the market was able to absorb this offloading without impacting the All Share Index considerably as the index closed for the day on the positive side. We continue to watch the market, this is a period of continually buying the low and not expecting too much capital appreciation. As yesterday was not a big losing day for the all share index, release of the 2nd of Quarter result may usher in some temporary rally. We are still waiting more buyers as volume is still on the lower side. Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. N:B Using the fund’s portfolio as a guide, “green” mean buying while “red” is selling. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who is doubting the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months. 1 Like

http://googleweblight.com/i?u=http://punchng.com/inflation-rate-faces-risks-say-emefiele-others/&hl=en-NG&tg=729 Inflation rate faces risks, say Emefiele, others Published July 10, 2018 Feyisayo Popoola The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Godwin Emefiele, has said the nation may see a reversal of the decline in inflation rate if the risks threatening favourable macroeconomic conditions are not addressed. In a communiqué of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting of May 21 and 22 and the personal statements of members, which were released on Monday, Emefiele, who doubles as the chairman of the eight-man MPC, identified the current budget outlay of over N9tn, the anticipated huge election spending, and the ongoing interest rate hike by the United States Federal Reserve as risks threatening the Nigerian economy. According to him, inflation is declining but remains high and outside acceptable band, with probable risk of upturn in the short-term. He described the desire for the concurrence of exchange rate stability, low inflation and low interest as unfeasible because of the structural realities of the economy. Emefiele said, “For a few analysts, the observed moderation in inflation rate provides justification for policy ease; however, the prevailing realities, especially the double-digit inflation and elevated short-term inflation expectations, do not support this. “While the trend of disinflation is encouraging, the observed moderation in inflationary pressure is, however, threatened by waning base-effects and the liquidity injections anticipated in the second-half of the year. It is, therefore, imperative to ensure that the path of disinflation is not reversed.” The CBN governor stated that his immediate predisposition would be for further tightening of the domestic policy stance to rein in expected inflation and ensure foreign exchange market stability. The Deputy Governor, Corporate Services, CBN, and a member of the MPC, Edward Adamu, said there was a need to build buffers on both fiscal and monetary sides in preparation for a possible downturn. He stated that the outlook for inflation in the rest of the year appeared largely uncertain owing to the likely surge in domestic liquidity arising mainly from expected fiscal injections and election-related spending. Adamu said, “The 2018 appropriation passed by the National Assembly promises to be highly expansionary because a sizable portion of the budget would have to be deficit-financed. When these likely fiscal injections are taken into account, the outlook for inflation that emerges becomes scarier. “Therefore, from a financial stability standpoint, inflation threats or risks to the naira exchange rate stability are to be mitigated upfront in order to sustain and deepen the resilience of the industry.” The Deputy Governor, Financial System Stability, Aishah Ahmad, said, “The ongoing implementation of the 2017 budget, the substantial implementation of the 2018 federal budget within a limited time frame, and the 2019 election season, which have historically had some inflationary impact, are potential risks to the positive trend for inflation.” She described the positive trajectory of key economic variables such as growth, inflation and exchange rates as gratifying, adding that attention should be paid to further threats to the gains, either in the form of a potential US-China trade war, inflationary fiscal shocks, or flow reversals from actions by the US Fed. According to her, a further tightening of the monetary policy stance is not out of place to maintain vigilance |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yok: 10:18am On Jul 10, 2018 |
KingDTee: They are not selling everything. They are selling to protect their investment from further losses/take profits in alignment with the current/expected market trend, just what a reasonable person will do. Equally after series of selling, the fund have to sell the good investments further to maintain the required balance for the portfolio. Thus, this is the reason that selling leads to more selling. |
