Fuel consumption due to engine size. I guess that's all.

Uber this, Taxify that and here we are still stressing ourselves driving. I keep asking myself why some factory workers still stick with that job. Not that they & we love the job.

'Money must come in' and the only way to do that is to keep working hard/soft.

Its your choice to leave your 181k job to do a full day driving job.

To have enough time for yourself, you will equally forfeit earnings when not driving. Therefore the more time you create for yourself the lesser the inflow from ehailing.

You can chose to keep your job and join as a fleet partner..

Do your calculations right (best you can get is 300k net a month without fixing your car if God help)
Also, you can be in debt if you buy the wrong car for the business.

Earnings on uber√taxify is like forex trading. Some stakers gain while some loss and some lose all their investment. ( leaving only the successful ones to keep encouraging even when they know the risk involve)

Thanks boss, but is it really good for this e-hailing biz? leaving out the resale aspect.

@casiello

Most flashy comments here are coming from people (car owners) who don't drive on the platform. They have drivers driving for them. They don't know what it takes to drive for 18hours everyday.
You will be driving for yourself. Ask a full-time driver ( preferably, one that owns his car) to shed more lights to you.
You can take a leave for two or three weeks as someone stated and explore this 'lucrative' e-hailing biz.
The choice is yours to be convinced or confused.

One of the things I like about this thread is that you get advise from different side of the coin.

We all agree to disagree and disagree to agree.

Everyone give advise from his side of the coin, so the person seeking advice get the best of both worlds.

If we encourage him to start or discouraged him not to start, one thing is constant, WE MAKE MONEY.

If he join us, the party get bigger and WE make the money together, if he didn't join us, WE still make our money.

Encouraging him to start doesn't reduce weekly rental payment from 35k to 30k and discouraging him not to join us doesn't increase our weekly rental payment from 35k to 40k.

The more the merrier.

Let us all make this Money together.

Welcome on Board.

It means your debit/credit card details provided will be charged if your trip fare goes above N2000.
Example, at the end of your trip using the promo, your fare is N2400, N400 is debited from your card.
Look at it like this, N2000 off the total fare for each of your next four rides.

Hello people.

Who knows a reliable brand of portable tire inflator that can be run off the car's 12v battery, I come across quite a lot online but I imagine most of them will be low quality.

I appreciate your suggestions.

Dear nairalanders. I have a budget of N800k for a fairly used car for the purpose of lease to fleet managers. However, I envisage some issues due to the fact that am not resident in Lagos, hence monitoring might be difficult. Can anyone advise me on the type of car I can purchase with that amount and a good trustworthy fleet management company? Thanks

Not possible. Budget not within range. Start from 1.2m

I agree, but within what is available, some may be better than others.

I just want feedback from people who have tried the different offerings. Thanks

Well, I can't rule out the possibility of luck but this is rare. Try save up a bit and get a car that won't give you stress.

Hi guys,

Advise needed please.
Im considering quitting my job to drive on the platform. I earn 181k net at the moment. If I drive for 10-12 hours days, 6 days a week. How much do you think I can make net not gross.
I own a 2005 corolla.

I need realistic response please, thanks guys

Please do not try it, the stress and the insults driving on Uber will discourage you within few days of driving on the platform. Moreover, for you to be earning such a pay with the current state of the economy means that your career path is still viable. Please repackage your CV properly, there are lots of offers out there for professionals at the moment, many thanks to the Canadian Govt grin.

Furthermore, try to save from your current earnings and plan to be an investor in the e-hailing biz, rather than driving full time on the platform. For now, you might consider driving during weekends starting from Friday night with your car to also gain a lot of knowledge about the biz.

Wish you all the best.

Cheers.

Is it possible to have 2 drivers to a car on taxify or Uber?
Say maybe a driver can use the car on weekdays and then another on weekends.
