komekn: They absolutely hate the French. Especially as the French still exploits them today. Given the opportunity, many dual citizen Nigerians will play for England ahead of Nigeria. |

BascoVanVeli: Neither does France, Germany and certainly not Croatia. So why the HATE outside of Nigeria where is the largest population of Nigerian origin people in Nigeria. So that notion, England offers us nothing why should they, do we pay taxes to them. We have historical relationships which were not necessarily to our advantage. Every country tried to rape the other. We locked out our Ghanaian brothers unceremoniously yet I don't get HATE from Ghana. Work permit rules is not unique to Nigerian players but all players outside of the EEC. |

ChrisKels: No I am not. He has been good but not outstanding. If you say outstanding it implies in comparison to other players. Thats why I asked if he had MOTM awards which says he is getting universal acclaim. Not just acclaim from ourselves. Particularly as he got recognised playing in league 2 I actually think he is a good player however, he has not played enough games to make that conclusion that he is outstanding. |

Barcelona table second bid for Chelsea winger Willian source: https://www.infonewsnigeria.com/discussion/1620/barcelona-table-second-bid-for-chelsea-winger-willian#latest Barcelona have tabled a second bid – believed to be worth up to £53m – for Chelsea winger Willian, Sky Sports reports. Last week, Sky Sports broke the news of Barcelona’s initial £50m bid for the Brazilian, with talks still ongoing between the two clubs and representatives of the player. The La Liga champions first began efforts to lure Willian to the Nou Camp as long as three months ago. It was reported in May that Manchester United are also interested in signing the versatile winger, who received rave reviews during the World Cup, despite Brazil’s exit at the hands of Belgium in the quarter-finals. Willian made 55 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season, scoring 13 goals. He has scored 44 goals in 236 appearances for Chelsea since joining from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013.

komekn:We didn't sell Ghanaians as slaves and enslave the minds of the rest that remained. You should never compare that situation to what even Ghana faced at the hands of the British. All the same that is in the past but that doesn't mean we will start rooting for their team. Americans don't root for England they try to kick their butt at every opportunity. I personally will not cheer for a big rival under any circumstance. I don't hate them as to want anything bad to happen to them but I don't want good either. This is the true sporting spirit IMO because when your heated rival wins the pain pushes you to levels never known before. Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon have pushed each other for years. Nobody can tell me there is no detest and hate coming from each party. Look how seriously Thomas Partey took that ATM friendly. Even your fellow Nigerians in England had set the tone by booing Dele Alli at Wembley so it's not just Nigerians in Naija feeling this way. 1 Like |

safarigirl: Now I know that not only are you delusional but also with deep seated irrational prejudice. I have often asked you to give just one instance of some of your depraved propositions. Biot then you come up with even more vitriolic rhetoric and evade the question and or subject entirely. You use the term "People like you" befuddled description is birthed out of again negative disdain but anchored on nothing, substance just sheer dislike. Out of the depths of the heart the mouth speaks. What makes you thrive on hatred, what happened to you, to make you like this. Once again I CHALLENGE YOU to give me one instance in which I over stated and under stated the attributes of a player over another, based on place of birth. If you were born in McDonald's it doesn't make you a BigMac. This notion you present is the basis of tribalism and is backward in the extreme. Your place of birth does not define you, your parental heritage does. I know fifth generation Jews who volunteer for military service in Isreal and are prepared to die. In your definition they are not Isreali enough. I do not make any differentiation between Nigerians based on where they were born. It's a nonsensical proposition that has no place for forward thinking Nigerians. 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli: Booing Dele is just a friendly wind up. It wasn't done with any Hatred. I was in Wembley wearing green and did the same but not in HATRED. Dele Alli circumstances and the failure of a father who was not there when he needed him most, is a sad story. One day he may tell it but otherwise he would have wanted to play for Nigeria. But shockingly do you really think that Oliseh or Siasia would have had him when he was still in league 1 playing for MK Dons. In all honesty I very much doubt it he would have gone the way of Chuks Aneke, Ademola, Ejaria, etc. Which is nowhere with the SE. |
