Lol now you trynna be smart. Now you wanna be specific right? When u were going about saying u were once involved with the recruitments but had no leave because of the NFF dirty deals, u never told us u were not an OFFICIAL member grin

I were never an official member, that goes to tell that all ur claims and whatever u had with whoever was not official, hence u have no case, neither have u any reason to label the NFF criminals. U have no recognition and they never had u officially to do that job, so why then did u say I walked away from it because of whatever reason u gave? How can one walk away from something he was never officially part of?

Now we know the truth, the NFF never contracted u officially to help with recruitments, so stop claiming u were once involved but had to walk away.

U claimed to be smart and clean yet u were doing unofficial things, I guess for ur own bebefits

You no get shame oh.

If I be you I go hide head.

So when Aluko made the commitment to play for Nigeria. How was he treated for all his undying patriotism.

This problem is not about your definition of patriotism.

But the very thing you wish to present as best is at the heart of the matter. I have been involved with NFF recruitment drives in the UK after one engagement I withdrew, the depth of depraved shameless corruption was too much for my palate to take.

They really wanted desperate boys who with thier Nigerian patriotic agents were prepared to settle. Most of the quality English kids withdrew sometimes at the insistence of thier undiluted full blooded Nigerian parents.

Tega situation is unique he is the number 1 young striker in the premiership. All eyes are on him, he can't win and either way he looses. Huge pressure was brought to bear on him.

If he chose Nigeria the backlash would have been unprecedented in England I assure you. He rejects Nigeria the backlash has already started, he simply cannot win. I really believed be was going to choose Nigeria. I just didn't expect this degree of pressure on him.

His profile has skyrocketed and Amaju should have been far more covert in his approach.

In the bolded, I didn't even see any word synonymous to the word "OFFICIAL" neither did I see "UNOFFICIAL" grin
But today u have introduced the word to save urself. U have no shame boy

Now face ur palm and stop trynna save ur face

Henry Onyekuru will be paid $100,000 a month (about 36 million Naira) after tax and get $10,000 for a win in the Turkish league, according to his new club Galatasaray.

That is why he went to Turkey. I wish he went to Germany or Spain. Yes, less money but better competition and more exposure.

Nigerian players always make these money moves.

I dont think any champions League team from either of those two countries came with a concrete offer.

Gladbach wanted him but they aint in the champions League, athletico was interested but he wasn't guaranteed regular playing opportunities, so he had to join Galatasaray for playing time, champs league and the money too.

So money wasnt the primary reason he chose Gala as dude is desperate for an English work permit realisable via champs league appearances.

Yes cool money but $25k per week should not be the major reason likely champions league football.

Wow!!!

This translates to about £15k/week excluding bonuses. Still very far away from the premium and he is about one of the least paid at his parent club Everton.
Critically looking at this figure, the it is safe to say the move is very moderate in today's football economy.

Exactly. I didn't see this before making my comment.
Do you know he can get about the same deal from a North African club like Etoile du Sahel?

It's not everytime you lowball yourself on a deal just because you want to land softly in a shinny place.
It's not caste in Iron he will own the German or Spanish leagues. Better players gone to those leagues and flopped. Who says he cannot get injured again? Nothing in life is guaranteed.

It's not like Galatasaray is not a competitive club. Look at Vida, the Croatian center back. He has been hands down the best defender at this world cup and he plays in Turkey for Beskitas.

We don't have the details of the other offers he had but one thing I am sure about is that he comes with a risk, knowing his injury history. I think prospective clubs might have been turn off by his damaged knee, knowing fully well he could suffer a reoccurrance. The list of clubs really interested in him might have been massively pruned down because of this.
Clubs and managers factor some these things before making decisions.

Damaged knee? Does every knee injury suggest the knee is damaged and a relapse, possible?

This is no argument, just want u to clear me

Careers have have abruptly ended by knee injuries. Knee is the worst and most sensitive part of the body an athlete can injure. Guys like Owen Hargreaves never recovered from that.

Now I am scared for my boy even though it was his medial and not his anterior. But since he didnt require surgery and he came back before schedule, I guess it wasnt a serious case.

Nothing to fear about, really. He is a professional. Although, he must avoid playing on synthetic pitches.
You're correct about Amunike.

It stills baffles me that our local players play in synthetic pitches[most turfs here are synthetic] week in week out...yet there is little or no anterior injuries....

Yoruba in Togo is very distinct. Hardly the same as the one spoken in Nigeria even though they have the same roots. Even the names are different. Adebayor for instance, is not native to Togo. His family emigrated from Nigeria.

Benin maybe but given the population size difference, there is a much higher chance that his root is Nigerian.

The Ife spoken by the Ife people of Togo is easy to understand and sounds undiluted.

I could not believe my ears the first time I heard one spoke it.

LOL.. Belgium made 9 changes in the team that beat England. Vermaleen and Boyata are not starters. Vertoghen, Kompany and Alderweireld are the starting center backs.

They started the campaign. Even with their first team players, England still dey beat Belgium.

It's not as if Belgium players are far more superior to the English team.

Abi no bi d same Belgium team first eleven dey play for EPL where most of the English players don make EPL player of the season and EPL team of the season more than the Belgium players?

You are right. I just felt that a top league would give him the challenges needed to improve but Turkey is better than Belgium so it is already an upgrade.
